Divine-level Base-Chapter 49: Seven-Colored Honey
This Dark Elf village was very small, with a population of no more than fifty people. Shu Feng’s intervention had saved nearly a third of the villagers, which naturally left Su Xi feeling incredibly grateful.
Shu Feng smiled slightly. "Chief Su Xi, it was nothing. I also hope to receive your help."
Su Xi smiled. "Of course, that’s no problem! But before that, please allow us to properly host you. Sir Shu Feng, you can call me Su Xi."
Shu Feng said, "Alright, Su Xi. You can all just call me Shu Feng."
A bonfire was lit in the center of the village.
Beside the bonfire, two male Dark Elves, more beautiful than the average woman, were roasting wild rabbits, pheasants, and boars.
Shu Feng sat cross-legged on a cushion woven from some kind of white thatch. In front of him was a small, round wooden table, upon which sat fresh fruits that bore a slight resemblance to apples.
"Sir Shu Feng, this is a roasted chicken wing. Please, try it."
A young Dark Elf girl who looked to be about fifteen or sixteen, her twin peaks like two small, sweet melons and her beauty uncontainable by her simple coarse-spun clothes, smiled sweetly as she held out a roasted chicken wing to Shu Feng.
Shu Feng took the roasted chicken wing. "I thought you Dark Elves were vegetarians who didn’t eat meat."
Chief Su Xi, who sat to Shu Feng’s left, smiled faintly. "Where would we get our strength if we didn’t eat meat? We Dark Elves value the forest and nature, but we’re not vegetarians. It’s just that humans from the outside world don’t understand us, so misinformation spreads."
"Delicious! It’s so fresh, sweet, and savory, and the aftertaste is incredible! What kind of spice did you use on this?"
Shu Feng took a bite of the chicken wing, and his eyes instantly lit up. An incredibly sweet and marvelous sensation filled his mouth, and even the Spiritual Power within his body grew slightly more active.
Su Xi smiled proudly. "We used the honey of the Seven-Colored Bees."
"Seven-Colored Bees? I’ve never heard of them... No! Wait, isn’t that a luxury item in the Andoras World? One gram costs as much as a million Gold!"
Camilla said with a touch of pride, "Sir Shu Feng, the honey of the Seven-Colored Bees is as valuable as gold in the outside world."
Su Xi smiled faintly and handed Shu Feng a fist-sized wooden pot sealed with a leaf. "Sir Shu Feng, please accept this jar of Seven-Colored Honey as payment for helping our village."
Shu Feng pushed the wooden pot back with a slight smile. "Su Xi, I have a bold request. I was hoping to get the body of a Seven-Colored Bee, or even a live one. I’m very interested in these unique creatures."
’As long as I have the genes of a single Seven-Colored Bee, I can synthesize them at that mysterious base. That way, I’ll have an endless supply of Seven-Colored Honey.’
Su Xi said, "Of course. Lisa, go bring a few Seven-Colored Bees over."
A Dark Elf Warrior left at once. Not long after, she returned and presented the bodies of five Seven-Colored Bees to Shu Feng.
Shu Feng curiously picked up the bodies of the five Seven-Colored Bees to examine them closely. "So this is a Seven-Colored Bee!"
The Seven-Colored Bees were a size larger than the bees of the Qianyuan Republic. Their wings shimmered with a faint, seven-colored light, giving them a beautiful and mysterious appearance.
Su Xi said with a solemn expression, "Please accept this jar of Seven-Colored Honey as well, Sir Shu Feng. You saved our people and helped us destroy that Goblin Tribe. This jar of honey is not nearly enough to express our gratitude to you."
Shu Feng no longer stood on ceremony and accepted the jar of Seven-Colored Honey. "In that case, I will accept it."
Around the bonfire in the village center, the beautiful women of the Dark Elf Clan sang and performed their unique traditional dances, creating a cheerful and lively atmosphere. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
’The Dark Elf Clan really does have far more women than men.’
Shu Feng’s gaze swept across the Dark Elves, and he noticed that there were only six refined-looking male Dark Elves in the village. All the rest were female.
"I will perform a sword dance!"
After downing a cup of fruit juice, Camilla rose and strode to the center of the village. She took out a wooden sword and began an exquisitely skillful sword dance. Her Body Technique was agile, like a beautiful leopardess. Her dance was sensual yet filled with a sense of Power, creating a visually stunning spectacle.
Shu Feng praised, "What a beautiful sword dance!"
A strange glint flashed in Su Xi’s eyes as she smiled faintly. "I’m glad you enjoy it."
After finishing her sword dance, Camilla sheathed her sword and returned to her seat.
Groups of Dark Elves began to dance by the bonfire.
"Sir Shu Feng, I’m Lana. May I have this dance?"
A young Dark Elf girl who appeared to be about eighteen years old approached Shu Feng with a sweet smile, extending her hand in invitation.
Shu Feng said awkwardly, "But I don’t know how to dance."
"Don’t worry. We can just dance freely. The important thing is to have fun!"
Lana took Shu Feng’s hand, pulled him from his seat, and led him to the bonfire to dance.
Shu Feng was soon immersed in the festival-like atmosphere and enjoyed himself immensely.
After the feast ended, Shu Feng bid farewell to the Dark Night Elves.
Su Xi asked, "Shu Feng, won’t you stay the night in our village?"
Shu Feng replied, "Su Xi, my companions are waiting for me. I’ll be back tomorrow."
Su Xi said, "Then please be safe."
"I will!"
Shu Feng smiled slightly and walked into the darkness, escorted by several Spirit Warrior-level Black Dog Void Demons.
Night was the active time for many nocturnal predators. A dozen wild wolves, several dozen hyenas, and more than ten venomous snakes had only just approached Shu Feng when they were torn to shreds and devoured by the Spirit Warrior-level Black Dog Void Demons.
"Shu Feng! Shu Feng is back!"
The moment Shu Feng appeared before the valley, a male student acting as a sentry shouted excitedly, his eyes lighting up.
’Everyone’s pretty resourceful!’
As Shu Feng entered the valley, he saw that it was already filled with incredibly crude tents constructed from leaves, wood, and weeds.
"Shu Feng, you’re back. How did it go? Did you get any useful information?"
Ding Xiaoxue strode up to Shu Feng’s side, followed by several teachers and student officers from each class.
Shu Feng said, "I encountered a Dark Elf Tribe. They know a path leading to the Human Realm. However, that path is occupied by powerful Demons. We’ll have to clear a way through before we can use it to reach the Human Realm."
