Chapter 213: The Youngest Venerable in A Hundred Thousand Years

Ancestor Suitian stared in astonishment at the overwhelming potency of the wines, his heart trembling. For an instant, even his Heavenly Pool stirred in response.

Noticing the greedy gazes from the surrounding cultivators, he let out a cold snort and released his full aura as a High Sage, instantly suppressing their avarice.

Jun Wudi, however, ignored all of the people staring at him. His attention was fixed entirely on the two cups of potent wine before him, carefully contemplating how to draw out their full effects.

Those two cups had been prepared for him by Blindman Lu, meant to help him survive the Heavenly Fire Tribulation when he next attempted to break through to the Earth Core Realm. Yet, after drinking only the first cup of clear wine, Jun Wudi had unexpectedly restored his cultivation foundation completely and absorbed a millennium's worth of spirit qi, elevating him directly to the peak of the Earth Core Realm. Because of that, he had kept the remaining cups until now.

Lifting his head, Jun Wudi looked at Ancestor Suitian and said, "Ancestor, I'm truly grateful for what you've done for me this time. Without you, I wouldn't even know when I could summon the Heavenly Dao Spear again."

Ancestor Suitian chuckled. "Hehe, the experiment was a success. If not for you, we might have taken much longer to figure it out."

Ancestor Suitian formed a hand seal, restoring Jun Wudi's affinity with the Heavenly Dao Spear. "Now that you can wield it again, go and do what you must. I've got Little Jun's back. Let's see who dares lay a hand on him."

"Thank you, Ancestor. I'll go right away." Jun Wudi bowed, then downed the red and blue liquors in one gulp. "Please guard me for a short while."

"Very well..."

Moments later, the medicinal energies of the two wines erupted within Jun Wudi's Heavenly Pool and meridians. The blue energy repaired his cultivation foundation, while the red energy tempered his Spirit Body. The twin streams of energy surged and intertwined within him like wild serpents.

"Ancestor, the effects of these two cups far exceed my expectations," Jun Wudi exclaimed, feeling the boundless power coursing through him. "I sense that I'm about to break through to the Human Core Realm. If I succeed, please shatter the spatial passage for me."

"Oh? Very well, rest assured." Ancestor Suitian's tone carried a trace of surprise, which soon gave way to composure. "I've only grasped part of the space laws, but it's enough to send a venerable to the Western Mountain."

The surge of energy intensified, casting red and blue light across Jun Wudi's body.

Gritting his teeth, Jun Wudi roared, "Heavenly Lightning Giant!"

Once more, a massive lightning giant materialized in the valley outside the Scripture Hall.

Jun Wudi glanced briefly at Jun Laoye, then gripped the Wudi Spear and shot forward, appearing on the giant's palm.

Except for a handful of venerables, every cultivator in the Scripture Hall instinctively felt the urge to kneel. It was a reverence reserved only for those on the verge of ascending to venerable status.

Sensing Jun Wudi's imminent ascension from his aura, the venerables in the front yard froze, and their gazes locked on him in disbelief. A venerable born at just two thousand years old was something beyond their imagination.

Hua Xin watched Jun Wudi's rising aura and asked Ancestor Suitian, "High Sage... could he be the Jun Wudi who once single-handedly slaughtered the younger generation at the Western Mountain? But wasn't his cultivation already suppressed to the Core Breakthrough Realm? How is this possible?"

"Have you still not realized it?" Heaven Venerable Ban Yao whispered. "Jun Wudi has always been the brightest genius of the Jun Clan. Do you think he would allow Deer Ridge to humiliate him?

"If I'm not mistaken, his rapid rise in cultivation caused instability in his foundation. What happened at the Western Mountain was likely orchestrated by the Jun Clan's elders to force him to rebuild his Three Dantian Fields and Three Meridian Gates. That was why his cultivation foundation was severed, reducing him to the Core Breakthrough Realm."

Watching the two towering lightning giants, Daoist Hong Yun said thoughtfully, "That would explain everything. I had always wondered why the Jun Clan did nothing when one of their most gifted cultivators had his foundation crippled at the Western Mountain back then. Now it all makes sense."

"Perhaps the Jun Clan had deeper motives. That experiment they began fifty thousand years ago has finally succeeded through Jun Wudi," Venerable Tian Suo quietly said, the chains in his hand softly clinking as he observed Jun Wudi. "It's too late for us to find out now. The youngest Venerable in a hundred thousand years is about to emerge."

A collective sigh swept through the venerables and Men of Heaven. Each of them had spent at least ten thousand years to attain their realm, yet before their eyes stood a prodigy who would reach venerable status in just two thousand. It was impossible for them to remain calm.

***

High above the sky, massive tribulation clouds gathered over Jun Wudi, expanding until they blanketed the entire Heavenly Mandate Hall.

Huo Shan, Feng Wunian, Zhou Chang, and the others stared up at the figure about to face tribulation, terror flickering in their eyes. Despite their caution and deep understanding of Jun Wudi's background, seeing him ascend to the Human Core Realm still filled them with dread. Only now did they realize how deeply they had underestimated him.

Jun Wudi was no longer a discarded pawn of the Jun Clan. He was their true hidden masterpiece, the key to carrying on their legacy and paving their future path.

Jun Wudi looked up at the dark clouds and roared, "Come!"

The red and blue light around him flared violently as he spread his limbs, forming a star-like stance in midair. The twin glows surged once more, engulfing him. Flames enveloped his body, while the Wudi Spear in his hand shone with the same blazing brilliance. Even the lightning giant behind him was bathed in red-and-blue flames.

Jun Wudi focused inward, sensing the changes within his body. After consuming the two cups of potent wine, what he had believed to be a fully restored foundation was now undergoing yet another refinement. Deep within, even the minute cracks he had overlooked were being perfectly mended.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of resounding booms echoed from within his body. His Three Dantian Fields and Three Meridian Gates slowly reached perfection. The reverberations continued as Jun Wudi's Dao-aligned spirit qi began to emit golden light, illuminating his Golden Body with a dazzling radiance.

Straightening himself in the air, Jun Wudi murmured, "It's been too long. It's time to end this."

He raised his spear and shouted, "Break!"

In the next instant, the Divine Psyche Incarnation within his Divine Chamber erupted in golden brilliance, propelling him into the Human Core Realm.

Meanwhile, the tribulation clouds above had reached their peak. Countless elements—lightning, heavenly flame, razor-sharp wind blades, weak water, and even flying boulders—swirled within, ready to descend at any moment.[1]

Jun Wudi exhaled, getting ready to face the tribulation. "Ancestor, the Heavenly Tribulation has arrived. Help me break through the spatial barrier. Our predecessors once said that the Heavenly Tribulation is a baptism for all beings. I intend to ride it through and bring its cleansing light to the Western Mountain."

Ancestor Suitian nodded. "Very well. Leave this to me. Go."

He swiftly formed a series of hand seals, attuning himself to the severed space laws. Gripping the Suitian Spear tightly, he thrust it forward, striking the space before Jun Wudi. The spatial barrier shattered instantly.

Jun Wudi gazed at the void passage that appeared before him. Just as he was about to step through, he suddenly stopped. Through voice transmission, he said to Ancestor Suitian, "Ancestor, Little Lu comes from a powerful background. No sect or clan on this continent can afford to provoke the ones behind him.

"The golden age is upon us, and he will be one of its central figures. But Little Lu himself doesn't know this yet, nor can I let him find out about it. When this is over, please erase the memories of everyone below."

He spoke solemnly as he stepped toward the passage. "Ancestor, remember this. No matter what other anomalies occur, you must personally seal the memories of everyone present."

Ancestor Suitian frowned, confusion flickering in his eyes. "Again with the powerful background?"

A few days ago, Wind Dragon and the others had already claimed that Lu Chen possessed an extraordinary origin that no one dared offend, insisting that his secret must be kept from him. Ancestor Suitian had initially dismissed it as the exaggeration of a sect's hidden pawn. But now, hearing the same from a direct scion of the Jun Clan, Jun Wudi himself, made the matter far more serious.

He pondered briefly before lifting his head, only to find that Jun Wudi had already vanished into the void. All that remained were the raging tribulation clouds surging toward the Western Mountain.

***

Elsewhere in the sky, Little Pup glanced at Blindman Lu and said solemnly, "Sir, you value Jun Wudi highly. Should we head to the Western Mountain to take a look?"

"Nothing major will happen there for now. We'll wait," Blindman Lu replied calmly. "Right now, Little Lu takes priority. It's time to awaken that giant."

Watching Lu Chen's steadily rising aura, he added, "Prepare to use your ability. Seal the memories of everyone irrelevant below. Revealing this too soon will only harm Little Lu. For all we know, enemies might end up following us back. Caution is the wiser choice."

"Yes!"

Little Pup took on his human form and swiftly performed a series of intricate hand seals. Layers of purple light rippled outward from him, forming concentric circles that spread across the heavens.

***

While everyone was still in awe of Jun Wudi's might, Lu Chen's fingers slowly started moving. Multiple layers of his cultivation aura erupted outward.

"All races under heaven... are equal!"

As those words left his lips, Lu Chen's eyes snapped open. A terrifying pressure burst forth from his gaze as he looked toward the Scripture Hall. "By Heaven's Mandate, the giant awakens."

The brilliance in his eyes then faded just as swiftly. He closed them again and fell into complete stillness, as if nothing had happened.

Nantian Wan'er glanced at him, her eyes curving like crescent moons as a smile bloomed across her face. "Lu-gege has awakened. His cultivation is rising fast. He's about to reach peak Qi Regulation Realm."

1. These are specific elemental forces that appear within tribulation clouds. Lightning represents divine thunder, the most common and destructive element in tribulation. Heavenly Flame is a divine fire born from the will of heaven. Unlike mortal fire, it burns not only flesh but also spirit and soul. Wind Blades are cutting gales that form sharp, invisible blades of air capable of slicing through defensive barriers and even mountains. Weak Water is a mythical substance from Chinese cosmology. Despite the name "weak," it's not ordinary water. It's so heavy and corrosive that nothing can float on it. Even divine metals sink in it. It is often seen as a metaphor for an engulfing, inescapable force that endangers both body and spirit. Flying Boulders are massive rocks hurled about by the storm, embodying the physical destruction aspect of the tribulation. ☜
