Chapter 20 - 20 – Lin Fan’s Wrath, the Might of the Overmind!

A powerful wave of familiarity surged once again in the Titan Giant Ape's heart.

The Titan Giant Ape studied the strange human before him more carefully.

Half of the person's long purple-black hair was tied into a scorpion braid that hung down their back, reaching the waist.

The other half spilled freely over her smooth shoulders.

Her large, watery eyes radiated a delicate innocence—but the pupils burned with a deep crimson glow.

Her slender waist was taut and full of elasticity, and her long, straight legs were firm and graceful.

And then, there was the spirit that had just manifested behind her—faintly resembling a rabbit.

A terrifying thought exploded in the Titan Giant Ape's mind. His eyes, large as bronze bells, widened in shock.

"Y-You... You're Xiao Wu's mother?!"

"No! That's impossible!"

He immediately shook the idea away.

Xiao Wu's mother had been killed by someone from Spirit Hall when both he and Da Ming weren't around.

She was dead. How could the dead return?

And yet...

This human looked so much like Xiao Wu!

And more than that—she had just spoken a name that only he, Da Ming, and Xiao Wu knew.

"Just who are you... human?"

Xiao Wu's pale but lovely face wore a soft smile.

She didn't answer the Titan Giant Ape's question.

In her mind, within the Zerg's psionic hive network, a blazing sun—radiant and unmatched—was speeding toward her location.

Following it were countless red sparks of light, each alive with motion.

"You're finally here... my Overmind."

Xiao Wu whispered softly to herself.

"Raaaaghhhh—!"

Suddenly, a chorus of bizarre roars erupted from above the skies.

Where moments ago the sky had been clear, it was now thick with ominous clouds.

High above the endless stretch of white clouds, an enormous shadow raced forward with terrifying speed.

It blocked out every ray of sunlight—shrouding the world beneath it in darkness.

The sheer size of the shadow covered a full ten kilometers of sky.

Creatures across the region instinctively lifted their heads, stunned by the monstrous sight.

Even the Titan Giant Ape showed a trace of horror on his face.

He had never seen such a thing before.

What were these shadows?

"Raaaaghhhh—!"

The layers of clouds above were suddenly torn apart!

A strange beast—unlike anything seen before—descended from the skies, its roar echoing like a dragon's cry.

The Titan Giant Ape's pupils contracted.

It wasn't just one.

It was an entire swarm.

A massive group of bizarre, hulking creatures ripped through the clouds, their crimson eyes glowing fiercely.

They blanketed the sky.

Thousands of Overlords burst from above, their grotesque faces visible as they descended in perfect formation—forming a vast Zerg air fleet from the stratosphere.

BOOM!

The earth shook violently!

Suddenly, the ground cracked open, and countless Zerglings erupted from the depths like a tidal wave, roaring nonstop!

There wasn't even enough space on the ground—the Zerglings trampled over one another, forming layers upon layers, building a living Zerg wall around the area.

Behind them, a sea of Hydralisks stood ready to attack, their narrow, vertical pupils glowing red like spotlights fixed on the Titan Giant Ape.

At the perimeter, every ten meters or so, a Drone quickly settled into the grass, birthing a towering Spore Crawler from the ground in seconds.

One after another, sharp black Spine Crawlers rose like a forest of fangs.

The biological fleet had fully landed.

Thousands of Overlords formed a black canopy in the sky, completely blotting out the sun.

A massive Zerg fleet.

A towering Zerg wall.

A sea of Hydralisks.

A forest of living defenses.

This entire region had been transformed into a terrifying Zerg Abyss.

For the first time, the world of Douluo bore witness to the ferocity of the Zerg.

No domain?

No problem.

I'll create one—a Zerg domain.

A piercing howl echoed from the sky.

A man dressed in black plummeted from above, slamming into the ground and creating a deep crater.

THUD—!

Lin Fan appeared beside Xiao Wu, gently wiping the blood from the corner of her lips.

He said softly, "Sorry I'm late, Xiao Wu."

Xiao Wu smiled brightly. "Perfect timing, my Overmind."

Lin Fan took out a glowing blue crystal, pulsing with energy, and handed it to her.

It was an Energy Core freshly converted by the Hatchery's incubation chamber.

Just one was enough to fully restore a Spirit Douluo's soul power and energy.

For Xiao Wu right now, it was truly a life-saving treasure.

A warm, sweet feeling welled up in her chest as her eyes sparkled with emotion.

Lin Fan then turned to face the Titan Giant Ape.

Though its ten-meter body was massive...

Right now, surrounded by the overwhelming Zerg swarm, it looked almost insignificant.

Even... small.

The Titan Giant Ape was dumbfounded, horror flooding his heart.

What was this race?!

He had lived in the Star Dou Forest for over a hundred thousand years.

Across the entire Douluo Continent, he had never seen—or even heard of—such a terrifying race!

They weren't spirit beasts.

Nor were they ordinary wild beasts.

But they radiated an intense aura of slaughter and domination.

He looked at Lin Fan—yet another human.

Could it be... humans had mastered a completely new kind of power?

A deep sense of anxiety rose in the Titan Giant Ape's heart.

He had to get this information to Da Ming—immediately!

Lin Fan's eyes were icy as he stared down the Titan Giant Ape.

"I didn't want to waste my time with you," he said coldly. "But if it's a fight you want... then it's a fight you'll get."

"My swarm has never feared war."

The Titan Giant Ape's face twisted in anger.

"Human, do you really think you can defeat me? With these... bugs?"

Though the swarm looked overwhelming, he had already tested their strength when they'd shielded Xiao Wu.

He had a rough understanding of them now.

He could kill dozens of them with a single swing.

How could they stop him?

Lin Fan sneered.

With a wave of his hand, the Zerglings howled and surged forward like a tidal wave!

The Titan Giant Ape's expression hardened as the insect tide approached, rising even higher than his massive body.

He took a deep breath and roared, charging forward.

The Zerglings hurled themselves at the Titan Giant Ape, attacking with everything they had—sharp mandibles, hooked claws, spiked legs, even their shattered, hardened shells.

One hadn't even died yet before another leaped over its body to continue the assault.

The Ape was too tall—so the Zerglings piled on top of each other, climbing him like a living tower.

A dense, black swarm engulfed him completely, not even leaving a gap for air.

And still, more and more poured in from all directions.

Five hundred meters below the ground, deep within a network of tunnels, ten Hatcheries had already been established.

Countless larvae were hatching nonstop.

Each grotesque Zerg unit burst from its egg and charged directly into battle.

The war machine had begun to rumble in full force!

High above, the Zerg fleet descended like a black tide.

Unit after unit leaped from the Overlords and joined the swarm on the surface.

The Overlords roared into the heavens, as if cheering for the swarm.

"RAAAAGHHHH—!"

The colossal biological fleet was shaking the world with its roar.
