DRAGONBORN SORCERER-Chapter 29: Flame Empress Dragon’s Appearance
As mythical as Vitra was, her kneeling to Skyler was quite unexpected— even for the Xions who summoned her upon this world.
This created a silence that shrouded the battlefield. The air stopped its movement as though the time had frozen. As for the adventurers, their reaction still remained the same— mouth wide open and eyes popping out of their faces. Their breathes seemed to be stuck at their throats.
Skyler wasn’t an exception either. Getting greeted as Lord by Vitra made him dumbfounded. He didn’t speak anything, and kept looking at her— the dragon kneeling before him with grace and diligence.
It was then, when the silence didn’t remained any longer. The Xions who had already landed on the ground, kneeled after Vitra.
"My Lady." The leader’s voice sprout, soft and gentle yet with a hint of doubt, "I don’t understand. As graceful as you are, you shouldn’t be kneeling to someone else, nor to someone as inferior as him."
The words hit her ears like a striking thunder. Her eyebrows twitched in anger. Her oppressive aura started burning with rage, intensifying and intimidating the others as they swallowed their breathes hard.
Her head turned towards them slightly, gazing at them with her scorching eyes. Her voice which sounds gentle and sweet, now infused with rage.
"You dare to insult my Lord— my beloved master." She stood, her hands wielding her supreme magical powers, "It’s unforgivable. Stand and blame your negligence for the punishment you’re about to receive."
She raised her hands, and the sky shrouded by multiple magic circles— crimson and massive. From those circles, emerged multiple spears. That crimson and intense energy enveloping the spears fell upon the Xions like lightning, even upon Sato and Rumi who were still unconscious.
"Scorching Insolation!" Vitra murmured softly, gazing at them as those spears pierced through their heads down to their bottom.
Their blood splashed out from their heads. Their tongue came out. Their eyes rolled upwards. Soon, searing heat started unleashing from those spears, evaporating their blood into smoke. And their body began to burn in scorching fire.
Their cloths caught the flames. Their skin burned up, their flesh and blood too. All that remained after the fire went off, was nothing. Even the ashes of their bones were reduced to dust and vanished into the passing wind.
This dreadful event created a panic— a horrifying terror, among the adventurers. They looked disbelief. Sorcerers who meant to be above Stge-10, were noting but mere children before her. And punishing them with such strength, was the simplest feat. She neither broke a sweat nor even appeared exhausted. All she did was just casting the spell, and the rest was taken care of its own.
And the punishment— it made them swear to themselves, no matter the cause, they shouldn’t oppose neither her, nor Skyler— her lord. They swallowed hard, looking at them. Even Leonardo and the elites were left opened mouth. They couldn’t speak a word.
She now looked at the adventurers bounded by those shackles. With a single wave of her hand, the flames deemed, releasing them from the unwanted imprisonment.
"There’s no doubt about it." Rose mumbled, looking at Vitra with great admiration, "She’s one of them— the Ruler Dragons of Myth."
"Indeed." Leonardo replied, tightening his grip on Stella, "Moreover, she’s acknowledged Sir Skyler as her Lord. It only proves that every single thing he had spoken, is truth."
"So, what now." McVill said, glancing at the deserted battlefield. As far as he could see, there was noting but the heats still emitting from the ground. "The issue has be resolved. There’s nothing for us to do anymore."
"Right." Rose replied, "Never in my life, I felt this much helpless. Guess I have to work a lot harder from now on."
"Healers." Leonardo commanded, "Heal Sir Skyler at once. He’s been injured."
Five healers, including Kent surrounded Skyler, using their unparalleled healing abilities. Skyler burned skin soon began to recover. The crackles healed up too.
At last Skyler took a long breath as he took a quick glance at the System interface.

"That’s enough." Skyler told the healers, "You don’t need to heal me farther. My health has been restored."
"Whoa!" the sweet and gentle voice rose again. It was Vitra. She took one or two laps around Skyler, and observed him carefully. Then spoke astonishingly, "My Lord, your incarnated appearance looks great. Not to mention it’s kind of dashing too."
Her eyes sparkled. Her cheeks carried red signs. She was enthusiastic. Skyler, however, looked concerned.
’I don’t know who she is.’ He thought, murmuring to himself in his mind, ’But she appears to know who I am. Moreover, why’s she calling me Lord? I don’t get it.’
"Vitra was it." Skyler sighed, letting his breathe out, "I have some words with you."
"As you wish, my lord." He behaviour still remained the same.
"Clan leader." Skyler’s gaze now shifted on Leonardo, "I have some matters to discuss with you, Rose and McVill. Can you please wait back at the clan until I finish some talking with Vitra here."
It was not like they could oppose his wishes. They’d already witnessed if someone dared to take that path, they knew which fate awaited at the end of it. So, instead of asking anything else, like a obedient child they went back in town, handing Skyler his mask back.
****************
The wind blew gently. The heat faded slowly. The sky which was disturbed with so many things going on, now seemed calm— only the whistle of the wind caught the ear.
The wind waved Vitra’s red-scorching hair, mesmerizing her charms. She looked at Skyler with blushes.
"My lord." She spoke first, still behaving like an enthusiastic child yet embarrassed at the same time, "I can’t express how much happy I am to finally meet you. My dreams are finally fulfilled." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"Wait just a sec." Skyler replied, preventing her from going ahead, "Earlier, you said my incarnated form. How did you know that I’ve been incarnated? And why are you even referring me as Lord."
"Lord is Lord. What’s there so confusing about it?" Vitra twisted her head like a dumbfounded child, "And there’s no way I could ever mistake to recognize you, Lord Azrathos... No. I mean, Lord Skyler."
