Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 105: I Think I Found Her
Celine’s mouth fell open but no words came out. Her heart thundered against her chest in fear.
Tristan...it was really him!
How could he be here right now?
When she had gone on that meeting on his behalf this morning, she had been told by Kaleb that he had something important and personal to do today, Celine never thought that the coincidence could be this much...on the day she had come to visit her mother, he was here to...
She didn’t know why he was here but that wasn’t important. He heard her!
He’d heard everything she had just said.
"I’m asking you a question, is it that hard to give me an answer? What did you just say about grandkids?"
Tristan wasn’t certain what he was thinking at this moment but so many thoughts had run through his mind.
Five years, it had been five long years and anything could have happened in that amount of time.
Did she have someone else? Had she been with someone else enough to have his kids?
The word grandkids had triggered that thought in his mind and he hated it. He had never meant to reveal himself here to her today even after he’d heard her voice, no one ever knew he still came here.
The day he had started his company had been on the day he celebrated his mother the most, the day of her birth, and it was the only day he would come here to her to relive the ache of having lost her, but Celine’s words had pushed control out of his mind causing him to show himself to her without even realizing it, but something was burning through his veins right now, it was disbelief and rage.
Did she have children...with someone else?
Celine struggled to find words to answer, she couldn’t think straight with him looking at her with such burning intensity of rage.
’Calm yourself Celine, he doesn’t know anything just yet.’ She reminded herself internally.
That was right, she hadn’t fully given it away, if he hadn’t reacted so fast she might have said more to reveal herself, but it could still be kept under control.
"What are you doing here Mr Grayson?" Celine asked composing her expression, no guilt or fear showed in her blue eyes.
"That is not the answer to my question." He grounded out, the sharpness of his jaw clenching made it even more obvious that he was angry.
Did the idea of her having had his kids made him that infuriated? She wondered then looked away from him, fixing her mother’s flowers as he replied.
"This is something personal to me, it’s none of your business." A sharp pain suddenly radiated around her wrist as he suddenly grabbed her hand, whirling her in his direction until she was facing him.
"Do not blow me off. I want a damn answer to my question!" He looked livid now, his eyes boring down on her. There was a tightness about his grip around her wrist, it was painful enough that she wanted to wince, but she maintained a calm expression.
"I was talking to my mother, and if I mentioned grandkids it was just about the future. I want to have kids in the future, and I wish my mother was there. Mr Grayson, please try to stay out of people’s personal matters next time, this is really unprofessional of you."
As she said those words, his grip around her wrist immediately loosened and she pulled her hand out of his hold. His stormy eyes slowly began to soften, it seemed her words had convinced him.
Celine released a breath in relief. It really was a good thing she hadn’t fully given herself away this time, otherwise he would have come to know about Leo and Leah.
His gaze turned apologetic and self reproachful as he surprisingly uttered, "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean..."
"I don’t need your apology." Celine cut him off, without waiting any longer she touched her mother’s memorial niche caressingly before turning around to leave, walking out on him and leaving him standing there in the empty hallway of the columbarium. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Immediately Celine returned to Greenview hotel where the event tonight would be taking place, she was crowded by the event planner and her team.
"We’ve been trying to find Kaleb but he’s not here, there’s no one to ask for instructions. I’ve been told that Mr Grayson would want steel grey for the entrance, but a staff member told me he usually liked royal blue, what color should we choose?"
Why were they asking her, she wasn’t Mr Grayson’s assistant, she was just his executive. But since Kaleb wasn’t here, it seemed she would have to handle it on his behalf.
"Royal blue." Celine replied casually bit more questions were sent her way.
"For the banners should we do angel white or silver white?"
They showed her two cloths, both the same colors. She didn’t see the difference so she randomly chose again, "Silver white."
"Miss Roberts..."
"Miss Roberts, Salmon orange or burnt orange?"
"Miss Roberts, champagne or vodka?"
"Miss Roberts..."
After answering what felt like a hundred thousand questions, Celine really couldn’t take it anymore.
Several of the company managers also came to ask her questions, she had only just joined this company recently, there were so many things she still didn’t know, why did they think she would have answers for them.
She suddenly felt a headache coming on, it was beginning to get overwhelmingly hectic, in order to get away from it all, she headed traight to the elevator, pressing the highest floor to the rooftop. She needed some open air to gather her thoughts.
The elevator doors opened to the rooftop and Celine walked the huge space close to the edge. The wind here was strong and it whipped her hair in different directions, so she reached into her bag to grab a hair tie, gathered her hair in her palms and swooped it up in a ponytail, still the tiny strands framing her face whipped here and there but they weren’t bothering her much.
"She’s back, I don’t care how you do it but I need to see her, is that understood?" Celine heard a man’s voice from behind her and quickly turned around.
She had expected to be alone here for a while, not for someone to join her halfway, it would ruin the momentum of getting her thoughts sorted alone.
The man halted his steps with his phone against his ear as he noticed her, their gazes locked and something like recognition shone in his eyes.
The man was dressed quite formally, but two bottoms of his dress shirt were undone, he wasn’t wearing a coat and the tie around his neck was dangling loosely.
A crooked smile lifted his lips upwards, and with a look of fascination mixed with disbelief he said to whoever he was talking to on the phone.
"Nevermind, I think I found her."
Celine was confused.
Found who, was he talking about her?
