Although the hunters fought with everything they had, it was getting difficult to stand their ground to so many opponents. The doppelgangers remained at a distance hurling fireballs, water bullets, gusts of wind and even rocks at them, while the skinwalkers who couldn't mimic traits formed the first line of attack which was a problem because of their innate regeneration.

It was a perfect strategy that allowed them to suffer less damage, while at the same time wearing down their oppopnents.

The fight was heavily tilted towards the cryptids, but that only lasted until Luna finished her transformation and the first skinwalker to come close had its head disappear inside her vicious lycantrope maw. The shift in the balance was so sudden, it took all the cryptids by surprise, but the most shocked was among the hunters.

"What the fuck is that!?" The long legged huntress asked with a terrified expression on her face, but Nika quickly shut her up.

"Hey! That's my friend, who the fuck are you?"

"Stop bickering, we need to focus on the enemy." Uriel said as he unloaded his gun on the nearest enemies.

"Why aren't you shooting at the ones throwing stuff at us?" The long legged hunter asked in annoyance after failing to dodge a rock to the face, but Nika broke into laughter.

"That's because..." Nika was about to point out how bad Uriel's aim was, but all it took for her to remain silent was a glare that spelled her doom if she continued.

Luna was unable to speak in her werewolf form, but that didn't stop her from jumping into action and rapidly thinning out the number of enemies that dared get near them. She was incredibly nimble for her size and even though she couldn't see in pitch dark, she could see far better than humans in the dark.

Because of the damage she was causing and her huge size, she soon became the target of all the ranged attacks and although she looked incredibly powerful, Uriel knew she still experienced pain.

He tried to think of a way to incapacitate the doppelgangers without getting close, but that was difficult considering the sheer number of opponents that were surrounding them, even if he had perfect aim there were too many enemies blocking his line of sight.

He deeply regretted losing 'Thunerbolt Iron' and thought how useful it would have been in a situation like that, but it wasn't like he misplaced it somewhere, it was destroyed.

"Nika, can't you do something about those guys?"

"I could, but they might copy my trait. Would that be ok?"

"Of course not... but," Then, an idea crossed Uriel's mind. If he still possessed Water warlock's blessing it would have been the first thing to come to mind, but now that he didn't have any regenerative ability it was beyond dangerous. Still, he decided to give it a go. "Everyone, focus exclusively on the doppelgangers, I'll deal with the skinwalkers."

At his command, Luna made a breach in the first line of attackers allowing the hunters to rush past them and leaving Uriel circled by enemies. Instead of firing his revolver or even reactivating Dash, he stored his weapon within his trait and closed his eyes focusing on the most gruesome experiences he's ever had.

The years of torture under a changeling, his first near death experience, the pain he endured when triggering the traps on easter island, but especially, he thought of his encounter with the titanic creature that lurked beneath the dungeon of the bellybutton of the world. Then, he lifted his arms and crouched on the arena as a sign of surrender.

"Please don't kill me, you're too strong, I see it now. I'll cooperate... just don't hurt me." He said in a pitiful voice, then he continued by crying and hitting the floor. "Forgive me, please."

"I see you finally came to your senses..." A skinwalker wearing the skin of Medusa came close and scratched his skin with a grin. Then, all of Uriel's memories started flowing into it, starting from the latest.

All the memories of his pain and fear were engraved on the creature that in normal circumstances wouldn't have affected it, but just the visage of the primordial titan that dwelled beneath the sea inside the dungeon was enough to leave the skinwalker horrified.

"What did you do!? Answer!" Another skinwalker attacked Uriel, though as soon as it consumed his skin, the exact same thing happened. It costed him a couple wounds, but two skinwalkers had been disabled on the spot, while the rest of them hesitated in attacking them as they did not understand what happened to their kin.

If just by scratching him the skinwalkers were left immobilized, they couldn't fathom what would happen if they even attempted to feed on him.

Those few seconds of hesitation were all Uriel needed to recharge his revolver and he stood up with a smirk on his face. "You're not the only ones who can play with your prey." He muttered as his eyes glinted in blue and before the skinwalkers could make heads or tails of what was going on, Uriel was already pouncing on them like a madman.

He jumped on top of the shoulders of the first skinwalker he saw and delivered a flawless pointblank headshot, he then kicked it and used the momentum to get to his new victim. Each bullet caused a massive damage, but soon enough he was left without amunition which was just what the skinwalkers were counting on.

Although the cryptids had no previous knowledge about weapons, while they were in human appearance theya possessed the same knowlegde their victims did.

However, far from relenting, Uriel's onslaught became even more vicious. He summoned his pocket knife, shifting it from hand to hand as he went. He was so entranced in the battle, he didn't notice when the last of the skinwalkers fell and he scanned his surroundings looking for the next opponent, but there were none.

The fight against the doppelgangers had finished a couple minutes ago, but his friends and even the huntress didn't dare to get in between Uriel and the skinwalkers fearing they might become his target.

"You!" Uriel roared at Nika.

"Wait, I'm the real one! I swear!"
