Uriel started his Vlog as soon as Jon and Seiren exited the meeting room and before the Vlog was finished several things took place on the Pegasus.

The ship had been docked on the Global Airport at Hollywood city for a while now and thanks to his renown Lamar should have been able to find a new job with ease, but he didn't like that city in the slightest and preferred to remain with the Dungeon Raiders to study the Ambrosia seeds. His progress in said investigation was minimal yet groundbreaking at the same time.

After long hours of lab examinations and several wasted samples, he found out that the seeds weren't ancient as he fist expected nor were they alien as some theorized. They possessed DNA like any earthly being, yet they differed so much from any other plant species he had ever studied that anything he found out about them was a scientific discovery.

"Doctor, we have a patient that could use a check up." Miss Dragonfang poked her head inside the small room next to the medical bay that functioned as Lamar's office.

"What is it? Can't you see I'm working on something important!?" Lamar growled at Miss Dragonfang who quickly retracted her head like a scared turtle.

"Luna is currently busy and the you're supposed to take care of these things in her absence." Miss Dragonfang spoke from behind her cover.

"Where's the patient?" Lamar asked in a calm manner as though his previous outburst didn't take place. His behavior was unsettling to say the least, but Luna had warned them that the professor suffered from a condition that could only be treated with his special 'juice'.

"Over there." Miss Dragonfang pointed at Colonel Mayhem who was curled up in a corner of the room.

Whatever effect Sam's presence had on Mayhem proved to be long lasting and although she recovered her consciousness she kept repeating the same words over and over.

"I saw the light." She cradled herself and didn't stop fumbling even after Lamar started the examination.

"She's responsive to light, though her pupils are slightly dilated. Miss, when did you see the light?" The professor asked.

"It's useless, if she could answer then I wouldn't have brought her to you." Miss Dragonfang shrugged.

"I'm afraid there's nothing I can do. The issue seems to be psychological and I'm no expert on that field. I hear it's not unusual for hunters to fall in these dissociative fugue state after facing particularly nasty cryptids."

"It wasn't a cryptid the one responsible, but another hunter. Also... we can't return her like this to the army. They'll think we did something to her." Miss Dragonfang explained.

"Were there any other victims or witnesses?"

"Yes, but I'm afraid they're in no better condition. We only brought her inside because she's the only one awake, the others are inside the ATV right outside." Miss Dragonfang replied. Lamar adjusted his glasses a couple times while he attempted to find an explanation to the Colonel's health issues, but somebody else walked in and provided the answer.

"I've seen this before and there's nothing we can do about it. It's some sort of dementia caused by being exposed to a foreign flux signature. You may call it a psychological attack, but it sometimes happens in the middle of nowhere.

As far as I know, there's no cure and only time will tell if she can get better." A neat man wearing an army uniform with so many awards and decorations they barely left any empty space spoke knitting his brows at the pitiful sight of the colonel. His voice didn't have the stern tone of a soldier, but the warm soothing ring of an experienced story teller.

It was a voice that brought Miss Dragonfang to tears.

"Dad!" Miss Dragonfang cried on the man's chest holding him tightly.

"I've missed you so much, Lizzy," The man smiled as he patted her on the back until she stopped sobbing. "I'm here on official duty I'm afraid. I need to have a word with your boss."

"He just came back from a long trip and he's currently busy." She sniffled, still holding onto the man giving the impression of hugging a tree despite the man's lean build.

While this was taking place, Jon remained at the cafeteria, whining every five minutes for being denied alcohol every time he asked for it.

"I'm not allowed to serve any alcohol before curfew." The maid who Uriel rescued from the Nosferatu's lair repeated every time Jon asked for alcohol like she was reading from a script.

"I'm a bloody holy rank hunter, if I want alcohol I'm getting it one way or the other." Jon's eyes glinted with flux energy.

"I dare you." Her going out of character was somehow even scarier than any flux energy display and it made Jon flinch. Had it been Uriel's ship Jon wouldn't have hesitated to extend his arm over the bar and grab whatever he wanted, but he was aware that the Pegasus was something Medusa built with her own two hands and it was precious to her.

Harming the ship in any way would be akin to harming her niece.

"Come on, give me just a glass of whisky." He said playfully after changing to a softer approach.

"No."

"Scotch?"

"No."

"Whiskey." Jon pouted.

"You're embarrassing yourself, Jon." Seiren by his side let out in a sigh.

"By now it shouldn't surprise you." The newly arrived soldier scoffed, yet instead of angering the holy rank hunter a wide smile climbed up to his face.

"You bloody old weasel, Xavier fucking Scofield's here!" Jon went in for a hug that turned into an awkward handshake when Scofield promptly rose his hand to prevent Jon from getting any closer. "The kid told me you were alive, but I didn't expect to see you here. Why didn't you go back to your city?"

Mister Scofield took the time to look around the cafeteria and couldn't help but let out an amazed gasp. The place itself wasn't much and the only remarkable aspect about it was the fact that it was built inside a zeppelin, yet what surprised him the most was actually who owned it.

"From what I can see, you can't really call him a kid anymore. Is that whiskey from Tennessee?" Mister scofield's eyes stopped on an amber colored bottle with a black label on it and the maid nodded while pouring a glass for the newly arrived guest.

"What about me!?" Jon asked as offended as though the maid had spat on the grave of his mother.

"Master doesn't like you." She replied unfazed. The many times she had heard Uriel speaking fondly about Mister Scofield were already enough for her to give him the VIP treatment, yet it was the respectful way he referred to him what made her decide to break the rules for him.

"My city fell along with the old library, without it I have no ties to that place anymore. I've been looking for my daughter for a while now. I heard she was a lieutenant in the army that resigned to join a small company. She was supposedly taking refuge inside the Alamo, imagine my surprise when I found out the army and other companies were kicked out of the dungeon by a cult.

A cult!" Mister Scofield chuckled, then took a sip of whiskey lingering on the deep taste and rich aroma finding himself missing the kick it used to give him before he became a hunter.

"How did you survive that thing? You shielded me from the golden light, yet I almost died anyway." Jon asked without taking his eyes from the object of his desire in Scofield's hand. freeweɓnovel.cøm

"You like to fool around and call yourself a champion of humanity showing how powerful you are by vanquishing small critters here and there. It's time for you to grow up and actually earn that title." Mister Scofield finished the glass and stood up in the same motion, preparing himself for the tackle he knew he was about to receive.

His movements so fluid and elegant, not even the incredible speed displayed by Uriel with his Dash skill active was able to move him an inch from his position.

"Mister Scofield!" Uriel had no words to offer as the mental strain he endured during the making of his Vlog and the following discussion he had with his friends was too much to bear.

"Young bookworm, I see you're doing pretty well." Mister Scofield chuckled, patting his back just like he did to his own daughter.

"There is so much catching up to do!" Uriel declared with such excitement it broke the old librarian's heart.

"Before that, I need to apologize for using you as bait." Mister Scofield said with a wry smile, then continued directing a cold glare at Jon. "it was the only way to lure the Lightbringer out of hiding, but thanks to a meddling hunter it didn't pay out. At least not the way I wanted it to."
