Enchanting His Heart: His Little Fox-Chapter 27: Even My Mom Doesn’t Nag Me as Much as You
Song Yi glanced at Tang Si and, in a daze, felt that the smile on his face was fake.
His peach blossom eyes curved slightly, possessing a soul-stirring power when he smiled, or perhaps it was just her illusion, Song Yi thought.
She snorted lightly, retorting directly, "Do you have any advantage I can take? You shameless old man."
Tang Si heard this, chuckled, and turned the steering wheel, veering off the overpass at an exit: "No, I don’t."
"Where are you driving? My place isn’t over here." Song Yi realized that Tang Si had taken the car off the overpass, and after all, the overpass led directly to her apartment.
"Mm," Tang Si replied, his eyes still looking ahead, seemingly indifferent: "Just going to that shop over there to buy some cigarettes."
Hearing this, Song Yi’s lips curled with sarcasm, and she sneered, "Can’t die from smoking."
Such a heavy smoking habit.
He still held the steering wheel with one hand, looking ahead, his eyes harboring a deep, cold gaze, but his tone remained calm: "Can die from it."
His plain answer made Song Yi slightly dazed.
The words were plain, yet they weighed like a thousand pounds, deadly serious, as if he rationally understood what he should and shouldn’t do, fully aware of his actions.
A man like Tang Si should be disciplined, let alone in his current position as the captain of the criminal investigation team. How could he be in this position without any self-control?
Song Yi suddenly wanted to explore this seemingly indifferent yet actually aloof man.
"Then why not quit smoking?" she asked.
"You’re a suspect." He replied nonchalantly.
This left Song Yi a bit dumbfounded: "???"
Then he added, "You’re not my mom, even my mom doesn’t control me this much."
In fact, anyone could control Tang Si more than his mother, because she never bothered, never cared, no matter what.
She moved her lips, about to speak.
"Screech—"
The car made a sudden sharp turn, causing Song Yi’s entire body to lean towards the driver’s seat.
Tang Si turned the steering wheel with his left hand, and to prevent Song Yi from crashing onto him and losing control of the car, he lifted his right hand and leaned his body slightly back. Leaving a gap, Song Yi fell directly onto his lap.
Those legs were firm and strong. In that instant, before she could curse, her hand accidentally touched something of his.
She knew what it was, her heart trembled, words were stuck in her throat.
She clearly felt that Tang Si’s body stiffened, and Song Yi dared not move recklessly.
She could also feel the car speeding, the atmosphere tense and solemn.
"Is someone chasing us or tracking us?" Song Yi was smart and her guess was spot on.
Seeing Tang Si not responding, she calmly said, "I remember there are three turns ahead. You can turn into the alley at the second intersection to lose them. The alley might only be five centimeters wider than your car."
"You must drive in at once, or else they’ll see us and block us, and we can’t escape."
Calmly, she gave Tang Si advice on the route.
While Tang Si looked ahead, his Adam’s apple bobbed, voice husky: "Stop feeling around and get up."
Song Yi blushed, realizing her hand was still there.
"..." Damn it, did she look like she was that interested?
She pressed her hand against his leg to get up, but just then, the car’s tire ran over a stone, causing the car to jolt, and Song Yi fell back down onto him.
"..." Damn!
"Hiss—" he murmured softly.
Song Yi’s mind buzzed, wishing she could disappear into a hole in the ground, this was too embarrassing.
"Taking advantage has its limits, I only looked, accidentally at that, didn’t even touch you."
"If it keeps happening, really..."
