"Hmm, looking good enough i guess." Looking at his status while his wound healed Calix said.
It had been ten days since he was in this desert. In the span of these days he had discovered some things about the dungeon.
First, in this dungeon there was almost no sound. He can feel the wind however there was no whistling sound ringing inhis ears.
Second, there are only two types of being that exist in this Dungeon at least from what he had seen. It was the Corrupted Skeletons and the snake like beast he has first encountered.
The Corrupted Skeletons solely weren’t that much big of a deal. However the problem was their big numbers.
Since the first day the amount of skeleton’s, had only grown...now being in groups of atleast thirty together.
Though they were all Novice same as Calix, it was still very difficult to fight them. It was also an annoyance that those skeleton’s won’t die unless their core is shattered.
Still, the skeleton were much less atrocious than the other one. The second monster’s name was the Stone Sliteren.
These monsters were generally twenty meters long, their body being covered with a hard rocky armour submerged entirely into the deep sand.
Their eyes, had an weird ability to almost hypnotize their prey and then kill them without a trace swallowing it whole.
It didn’t do much good as these beings were also Intermidiate ranked...the highest being the Intermidiate+ which he had run away from as soon as he encountered. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
However even then, today was the day.
That Calix had no choice but to reach the centre of the desert. He had travelled pretty far as what looked like rocky slopes from afar now had been given a shape.
The shape that chilled Calix’s heart.
The shapes were actually a large skeleton. Yes, half submerged in the sand the skeleton, was a large dragon.
Or...what remained of that majestic being.
The reason why Calix had no choice but to reach the centre today...was sustainance.
His water had been depleted while the food he had in store was finished thus leaving him no choice but to finish it today...or die.
"Well then, here goes nothing." Hiding his face with the hood the boy moved.
*****
In the vast desert, filled with nothing but Black and Sand. A chorus of voice.. something that hadn’t happened in decades rang through it.
The cause...
A figure covered with sweat and sand. Calix ran through the desert as he turned and looked behind him. Involuntarily, a curse came out.
"Fuck. Where did they even fucking come from?" Calix cursed as he watched a literal platoon of skeleton running behind him chasing him with emotionless eyes and feirce malice.
From the beginning his plans have been gone down the road. Instead of being silent and swift, he had somehow gained the damn attention of a platoon.
It felt as if the goddamn skeleton’s knew that he will be on an escape today.
Haa haa...
"Do i have no choice?" He grimaced as he looked at the vast cloud of sand and dust swirling and spreading in the front.
A Sandstorm was in his front.
Just as he thought, a projectile flew right by his cheek, almost getting his head. Looking ahead, he saw an arrow peirced in the soft sand.
"Holy...they have weapons now. Since when?" He shouted shocked.
"Ahh, fuck it. We will see whatever happens." Saying that the boy moved towards the approaching Sandstorm.
As more and more projectile of unknown metal flew by, he wrapped amethyst lightning around his body as his speed enhanced even more.
Soon enough...the boy was in the heart of a natural disaster.
Cough Cough
As sand and sharp winds cut his skin Calix covered his eyes protecting them from the sand granules.
As soon as he entered the storm, the sand assaulted him it moved straight through his nose. Fortunately, his ears were covered by a makeshift mask he had made for himself.
Moving through the storm was incredibly hard, as the wind pushed him around with a force of car...heck even staying on his feet was a issue.
However, Calix froze as what he saw in front was way big of a trouble than he has thought. Shivers ran down his spine as he looked in front of him.
"Yup, i hate my luck." He said brandishing his sword.
In front of his stood a snake like monster more than twenty meters long while five meters wide. It’s jaw was lined with razor sharp knives that seemed very very eager to cut through his flesh. While, the black eyes excluded some strange hypnotic charm.
It was the same Intermidiate+ ranked Sliteren he has run away from. There was no choice now. Behind his was platoon while standing between his destination was atrocity that Calix wouldn’t even want to have any beef with.
