Chapter 103: Chapter 103: I’m Afraid People Will Overhear and Think We’re Having an Affair

Upon hearing the name, the audience began to buzz with conversation.

"The Paxton Pavilion, is that a person’s name? Ahhh, why do I find this pair so intriguing."

"This President Prescott looks so cultured and refined, yet he’s more daring than Jett. Jett only donated to the medical school, but this President Prescott is straightforward. I want to know who this Sienna Paxton is, and which college she belongs to."

"Two tycoon bosses, one wild and rebellious, the other refined and reserved, both investing for the ones they love. This storyline is more captivating than a short drama."

"Sienna isn’t she a foster sister in the Prescott Family? President Prescott donating in her name makes it sound like a sham romance! Ahhh, it’s so exciting!"

Upon hearing these words, Chloe Nash was scared and quickly bowed her head.

She constantly felt that Silas Prescott’s eyes were directed at her.

Making her feel anxious and uneasy.

At that moment, the host suddenly asked, "President Prescott, does this name have any special meaning?"

Silas Prescott glanced deeply towards Chloe’s position.

His voice somewhat somber, "Sienna Paxton is a foster sister in the Prescott Family, she studies medicine and is a top student at the neighboring medical university. Later, she went to Doctors Without Borders and saved many people at risk. I donated in her name, hoping more medical students would follow her example to save lives, and also hoping Sienna returns to me safe and sound."

He spoke with such gentleness mixed with sadness that Chloe felt a pang of sorrow.

No matter President Prescott’s intentions, it made Chloe’s eyes well up.

She stared into Silas’s deep eyes, silently saying to herself, "Brother, I’m sorry, I can’t return to you."

The host laughed and said, "Thanks to Sienna Paxton for setting an example for our medical students, I believe she will return home safely, and we thank President Prescott for his generous donation. Next, we invite our most outstanding graduate, Chloe Nash, to present a commemorative gift to President Prescott."

Upon hearing this, Chloe instantly froze.

Her hands clutching her water cup tightly.

Silas Prescott was the same as ever; she could never predict his intentions.

She hadn’t anticipated him coming today, nor donating in Sienna’s name.

Let alone ask her to present a gift on stage.

Chloe knew what he had in mind, but she had no reason to refuse.

She didn’t know how Silas would treat her once on stage.

Beneath his refined exterior, this man always hid an unfathomable threat.

Sitting beside her, Jett Sterling couldn’t help but mock, "That scoundrel Silas Prescott, just to compete with me, he has you present to him on stage. Chloe, don’t go up, don’t give him the satisfaction."

Chloe glanced at the composed Silas on stage, "He donated in Sienna’s name without saying anything excessive. If I refuse, it would appear I’m hiding something."

Jett hit the table in frustration.

He only knew Silas was sly in business, not expecting him to use tricks on Chloe.

Other donors were presented with gifts by school representatives, yet Silas requested Chloe.

Clearly trying to subtly declare his claim.

Yet he spoke with such propriety, even if Jett wanted to intervene, he couldn’t find a reason.

Jett could only watch Chloe go onto the stage.

Despite the distance, he still noticed the gleam of triumph in Silas’s eyes.

Chloe carried the gift box, walking to Silas’s side, and politely bowed.

Her tone indifferent and detached, "Thank you, President Prescott, for your generous donation. My fellow students and I will do our utmost to save more lives."

After speaking, she handed the gift box to Silas, and when she looked up, she was met by Silas’s intense gaze.

The depths of his eyes hid unfathomable emotions.

Appearing calm yet full of underlying danger.

Silas gracefully accepted the box, smiling, "Dr. Nash, you said I donated a library. When Sienna sees it, she won’t be angry anymore and will immediately come back to me."

Chloe didn’t expect Silas to speak so directly.

Luckily she was mentally prepared.

She smiled lightly, "I wish President Prescott the best of luck."

The host promptly came over, "Miss Chloe Nash, please take a photo with President Prescott."

Chloe knew this was a required segment; all presenters must take photos with the donors.

If she refused, Silas would realize she was concealing something.

She didn’t decline and stood next to Silas, smiling towards the cameras on stage.

While hoping to finish quickly, a large hand suddenly grasped her waist.

Silas gently tugged, pulling her towards him.

The unexpected move made Chloe’s heart race, but facing so many watching eyes, she dared not push him away.

She could only act indifferent, looking straight at the lens.

Cameras, phones, all pointing towards them.

Chloe only felt the hand’s heat intensifying, searing her back cold with sweat.

Enfin, when the photoshoot ended, she quickly nodded to Silas and headed backstage.

But as she took a few steps, Silas’s pleasant voice sounded behind her.

"What’s the rush, Dr. Nash? Do you dislike standing with me?"

Chloe looked at him indifferently, "Does President Prescott need anything else?"

Silas walked to her side, gazing at her intently, "People say Riverton U’s campus is beautiful; I want Dr. Nash to show me around."

Chloe forced a smile, "Campus tours are handled by trained reception teams; they’re more suitable than me."

Silas leaned down, chuckling near Chloe’s ear.

"But I only want Dr. Nash to accompany me."

His warm breath like currents swept near her ear, making Chloe quickly dodge backward, teasing him, "Silas, speaking is enough, why get so close."

"I’m afraid others will hear and misunderstand our relationship." He emphasized the last words, irritating Chloe slightly.

At a loss, Jett’s voice came from behind.

"President Prescott wanting a campus tour is simple, I’ll take you."

He strolled to Chloe’s side, pulling her aside, "There are many activities nearby; you can join classmates while I escort him."

Chloe finally sighed with relief upon hearing this.

With little campus knowledge and unsure even of the entrance count.

Taking Silas could easily expose her ignorance.

She nodded to the two and left with fellow students.

Seeing her distance, Jett curled his lips in disdain.

"Are you still interested in the tour, President Prescott? I can reserve shared bikes, providing a VIP experience."

Silas looked at him disdainfully, "I dislike barking."

Then he left directly by car.

Upon entering, his assistant’s call arrived, "President Prescott, the earring’s blood sample report is ready."
