Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 468: New Things
Chapter 468: New Things
The sky cracked above like shattered glass bleeding black light through its fractured seams. The earth below groaned under the weight of dying monsters and magical power eruption.
In the heart of a collapsed city, amid broken towers and burning winds, Clyde moved like a specter through the chaos.
His footsteps left blackened prints in the ash-streaked ground as the last of the monsters around him screamed and fell. Their bodies broken and dissolving. However, they were not just blood and bone, but something deeper. They have life and power.
That power rushed into him, unseen but undeniable. Then he recived another surge of Exp, another lurch in his soul, then another level gained.
He exhaled slowly as the system chimed and the notification appeared in his vision.
[You reached Level 500!]
It had become a rhythm and natural pattern for him. He would kill, absorb, then raise in power.
The system inside him burned with the mark of the Ancient One. It no longer obeyed the limits carved into reality by the World Master.
There were no soft caps, no diminishing returns and no warnings. Only hunger and potential for more power.
And Clyde kept feeding it.
After killing Amaterasu and Susanoo, his level had rocketed to 500. Now each kill only sharpened him further. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
He thought that the Exp wasn’t just data. It was essence of life and power. A soul-tax collected from Celestials and monsters.
Far across the ruin hundreds of kilometers away from Clyde, Asqa also carved her own path through the ruined city.
The floating ladnmass she had descended into was no longer a intact. It had been split apart, chunks of stone and earth crashing down in slow ruin. Gravity meant little here but doesn’t mean it completely gone. Just doesn’t working normally.
Asqa’s wand spun through the air, its trailing light slicing through the neck of a dragonbeast mid-roar. The thing exploded in a violet mist and the power rushed into her veins.
[You have reached Level 402]
Her lips parted in a breathless exhale. She didn’t smile. Just nodded slightly to herself.
Three gods had fallen under her hands, Tsukuyomi, Fujin, Hachiman. Each one brought with them an ocean of resistance and power.
But she’d taken them all and drained their power. That was the nature of her system now. That was what it meant to bear the gift of the Ancient One.
Her Level trailed Clyde’s level but not by much. But definitely above anyone else.
They hadn’t spoken since entering this Ruin. They had agreed not to. The distance was intentional.
They worked better that way while alone in their slaughter. Without distractions and interference.
But even apart, they shared the same understanding now.
Their systems were no longer just tools for progress and survival. They were catalysts for transcendence and they realized it.
It was a step further from the world they once knew. They felt like they were step closer to something beyond Celestials and cosmos hierarchy and definitely beyond reason.
Now, standing in their own shattered corners of the ruined world, surrounded by silence and drifting embers, Clyde and Asqa both paused at the same time without they even realizing it after killing monsters.
Clyde stood over the smoking corpse of a towering beast, its skull crushed inward where his fist had landed. The ground around him trembled faintly.
He waited a moment as the last of its essence bled into his system into Exp.
Behind the system’s glow, a boredom lingered in his mind.
This wasn’t a challenge anymore. Not like fighting the Celestials. These monsters were fierce but predictable. They screamed, charged, then died. Over and over.
Clyde rolled his neck. "Boring as hell..."
But he had to do it. They both had to.
He knew and so did Asqa that they were still not strong enough yet.
The Celestials that remained were more powerful than the ones they had slain. They would eventually react and would retaliate.
He couldn’t afford to stagnate.
As Clyde moved to step past the monster’s body, something shimmered in the debris. A faint glint of solid light, forming from the dissolving mist.
His eyes narrowed. He finally saw several drops from the monsters he killed.
He crouched, examining the gear as the system fed information directly into his mind.

Clyde stood back up, his fingers brushing over the hilt of the Voidpiercer. The blade pulsed in response.
"Huh, this is not bad at all," he muttered, lips twitching into the smallest smirk.
Something worth using in what was coming.
He glanced into the distant sky, where flashes of light marked Asqa’s location in the far-off ruin. She was still fighting too.
He wonder if Asqa also got more skills to add to her arsenal.
