Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 517: Converging
Chapter 517: Converging
Michael and Clyde broke into motion.
Their blades met again and again. Flashes of gold, silver, black, and red colliding in bursts of power that ruptured the air.
Michael swung downward with a shout. His radiant blade screaming.
Clyde met it with Elderglass sword, his arm surging with black lightning.
CLANG!
The force of their clash sent a shockwave rippling through the surrounding, cracking a nearby island of floating stone into fragments.
Then Clyde twisted his body and brought Dusksorrow sword in a vicious arc from below.
Michael move midair, narrowly deflecting it with a golden barrier that cracked from the impact.
Sparks of silver and crimson fire scattered in every direction.
They fought like storms of destruction.
Michael’s wings burned brighter as he pushed harder. His movements were pure speed and fury now because we didn’t hold back anymore.
Trails of holy light streaked behind him as he slashed, stabbed, and spun through the black mist Clyde exuded.
Clyde countered with elemental chaos. Fire blazed black and red across his blades. Lightning coiled in twisting strands around his body. Every time Michael attack, Clyde returned it with both swords in perfect rhythm. One flowed like smoke and the other like thunder.
The air around them was no longer breathable. It was saturated with energy, screams, and echoes of dead higher beings.
Their battle scattered the remaining fragments of armies. Debris from Celeatials, Demons, and Angels army rained around them like meteoric hail, caught in the backdraft of their fury.
Then Zeus decided to move.
Lightning wrapped around his arms like living serpents. His eyes glowed bright. With a wordless roar, he hurled himself into the battle.
Thunder cracked when he moved.
He joined the fray with a hammer of lightning that struck Clyde immediately.
Clyde twisted aside just in time. Zeus’ hammer smashed into the void beneath him, creating a dome of electric eruption that blasted outward.
Michael flew clear of that lightning attack. His golden armor sparking.
And then the shadows twisted behind them.
Hades also decided to move again, his form cloaked in deep violet and black.
His armor pulsed with cursed energy. His helm was cracked from the earlier clash, but his gaze burned cold.
He raised one hand. The space behind him tore apart.
From that rupture in the void, a long, jagged portal opened. It dripping with screams and shadows.
From within it came the cursed souls that twisted by hate and agony. Creatures that had long since been cast from existence—banished or cursed by the higher realm.
Their forms were not stable. Some looks like orcs or elv who had limbs like broken glass. Some looks like beasts that had mouths but no faces. Some crawled like centipedes made of ash and bone.
They came in silence, forming a vast and orderly line behind Hades.
Thousands of them. Each radiating a sickness the world itself recoiled from.
Then Hades lifted his blade that glowing faintly with his power, and pointed toward Clyde.
"Devour him," he said.
The army moved.
The cursed souls surged forward ravenously. They poured like a tide beneath the clash between Clyde, Michael, and Zeus.
Clyde’s mist reacted first while he was still fighting and forming blades and walls, tendrils and shields to hold them off.
But they came from every angle. While still dueling Zeus and Michael, Clyde had to shift his energy to defend.
Yet his stance did not break.
He turned Dusksorrow and cleaved a line of cursed souls into dust. His fire erupted in a massive wave, burning hundreds more into black mist.
But they still came at him.
And from the higher vantage point, the other great Celestials began to move.
Ra, whose eyes burned like miniature suns, flew from his golden chariot. Light wrapped around him.
Osiris stood tall upon a shifting glyph of green starlight, his staff glowing with the judgment of the dead.
Thor gripped Mjolnir, his face grim. Lightning arced around him like a second skin.
None of them brought their armies.
They had no reason to.
This was no longer a battle of numbers. The legions were corpses already. This was now the clash of higher beings.
Each of them converged toward the center of the void sky. Toward Clyde and the storm around him.
Clyde saw them all coming.
Even as he fought Michael and Zeus in the center of chaos, his awareness expanded. He could feel Ra drawing solar fire into his hands, Osiris floating forward, and Thor hurtling through the void with his er ready to strike.
They were converging. Like wolves on a single prey.
But despite the destruction he had unleashed Clyde began to feel it.
That creeping shadow in the corners of his thoughts.
Panic and helplessness.
Not because he was weak. But because this would never end.
He could kill them. But more would come. Aways more. Always the next god, the next weapon, the next punishment for what he had become.
It would never stop.
His teeth ground together as Michael and Zeus attacked in perfect rhythm. The golden blade slashing from above and thunder lashing from the side. He blocked them both. But his mind screamed.
"ARGH FUCK THIS!! I DON’T CARE ANYMORE!"
Clyde stopped trying to control it. He let it go of strategy, logic and restraint and let the beast within rise.
His scream tore through the void.
"HAAAAAAAA!!!"
His body convulsed midair as black mist exploded outward.
Cracks spread across his skin like dark lightning. His face split with streaks of shadow-vein. His white hair grew longer, wild, drifting around him.
His eyes gleamed with raw and monstrous power.
Then he attacked ahain.
Elderglass sword came down in a brutal, jagged swing toward Michael.
Michael raised his blade to block but this time, it wasn’t enough.
CLANG!
The impact shook Michael’s entire body.
The sheer force of Clyde’s rage broke through the barrier. Elderglass’s blade edge struck the Angelic armor and cracks spiderwebbed through the chestplate, glowing with black lightning.
Michael grunted, forced back, gasping for the first time.
CRACK!
The golden armor splintered.
But from behind, Thor arrived.
He raised Mjolnir and with a grim roar, hurled a spear of thunder. It screamed through the void toward Clyde’s back.
But the mist responded.
BOOM!
The thunder spear hit the wall of blackness and detonated—but didn’t pierce.
The mist absorbed it, swallowed it.
Thor’s eyes narrowed. "What is this monster?"
Clyde turned to face him, still holding back Zeus with one blade and Michael with the other. His mouth curled into a grin that showed too many teeth.
