Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy-Chapter 3483: Xue Yu’er
3 hours earlier.
The Beast God sat on her balcony, sipping on a special tea concoction that helped soothe her mind and spirit. It was a lovely recipe that she had bought while in the Medicine Realm, but the paste used to make the tea was beginning to run out.
One of the special ingredients within the paste was hard to come by, so she made a mental note to ask Flamestrider to send someone to get it for her when they next had the chance.
They would likely have to go to the Medicine God itself.
’Someone should be going there to purchase some pills soon,’ she thought before sipping on her tea again.
She was halfway through her tea when she heard the sound of a distant boom. Her senses flared instantly, reaching thousands of kilometers in all directions, checking on what the sound had originated from.
To her surprise, it was made by someone flying at a quick speed in this direction from the sky. The Beast God barely caught a glance of who it was, and the teacup in her hand rattled in her surprise.
"What?"
She placed the cup down on the table, quickly standing up in surprise. She focused on the person in the sky, making sure she was not seeing things wrong.
She wasn’t.
It was indeed Xue Yu’er, the same woman who should be on the ship to the expedition to the moon. How was she here?
Strongclaw, the feline beast bonded to the Beast God, and Redfist, an ape with red fur and a black mane also bonded to the Beast God, flew out of the palace, approaching the woman in a hurry. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Stop!" Strongclaw shouted from afar. "Whoever you are, you are not—"
"Wait!" Redfist said quickly. "That’s little sister Xue, isn’t it?"
"Xue?" Strongclaw asked, a look of perplexity on her face. "How could it be? She should be aboard the Cerulean Sparrow right now."
"Seniors!" Xue Yu’er, a young woman of ethereal beauty, now looked haggard with her black hair unkempt, flowing in every direction in the wind. "Where is the Beast God? I must see her at once."
"Little sister, stop!" Strongclaw said. "What is wrong? What’s going on?"
"We can’t waste any time. I must speak to Her Majesty right away!" she demanded.
"Let her come through," the Beast God said, now both worried and curious as to what this was all about.
Xue Yu’er rushed past the two beasts, flying down toward the Beast God, who awaited her arrival. As soon as she arrived, she began rattling off exactly what was wrong without anyone’s prompting.
"Your Majesty, it’s a disaster," she screamed. "The ship has lost control and it is headed right toward this world."
The Beast God’s eyes narrowed slightly. "What? What is happening?"
"The ship!" the woman said in a panicked voice. "We lost control of it. We tried to stop it, but... but... we couldn’t."
The Beast God frowned. "Are you speaking of the Cerulean Sparrow?" she asked.
That was the ship that had departed from the Sacred Lotus Dominion, headed to the True Moon in an expedition to find out more about it. For years, the True Moon had been a mystery to many, and this was the chance for them to figure something out.
The journey there was costly, just the ship alone costing them hundreds of thousands of Divine spirit stones. That was not to mention all the different formations and defenses that were added onto the ship afterward to take care of its crew for multiple millennia.
And yet, not even a single millennium afterward, they had come back. What could have possibly gone wrong?
"The ship is out of control. The formations used to control the formations on it are completely broken. We barely managed to steer the direction back here, but we may have done something wrong in doing so," the woman said in her panicked tone.
The Beast God felt panic growing within her as well. To see the woman who had been considered as one of the few with the greatest potential in the younger generation just 10 millennia ago be reduced to such a mess was a fearsome thought.
"You have to stop it, Your Majesty."
The Beast God frowned. "Where is it right now? How are you here and not on the ship?"
"Once we saw the realm from afar, the others helped me barely open a barrier around the ship, and I slipped out using a teleportation talisman. I rushed here as quickly as I could to warn you of the situation."
The Beast God nodded. "How far away is the ship right now?" she asked.
The woman took a few deep breaths, thinking. "At the speed it’s moving at, it should be here in 6 hours at most," she said. "Maybe even less. We don’t have much time to prepare anything."
The Beast God nodded, a sour look coming upon her. "What is the situation of the other formations around the ship? Especially the defensive formations?"
"Some are inactive, including the controls for the formations that shut them down to let us access it. We can’t shut any of the remaining ones down," Xue Yu’er answered.
"How is that possible? It’s not supposed to break so easily," the Beast God said in an annoyed tone.
"It was a wall of fractured space," the woman said in a harrowing tone. "Long before we even got close to the True Moon, we came across an impassable wall of spatial distortion that destroyed anything that went into it like a meat grinder. The ship’s defenses barely gave us enough time to stop the ship and turn it around. That is how part of it was destroyed," the woman explained. "It kept accelerating afterward, seemingly headed directly toward the sun. We barely changed it to the Sacred Lotus Dominion."
The Beast God’s entire body stiffened.
"And now that massive ship with such expensive formations running at full force is coming directly toward us." She sounded scared as well. "I can’t stop it. But maybe someone else can."
