Many from the Human Clan have been driven out of the major Ancient Cities, living in the wild forests like savages, not welcomed, constantly facing the threat of Life and Death.

If not for hearing that the Ancient Continent has powerful Sovereigns restraining the Alien Race, preventing them from harming other clans, and occasionally protecting humans, it's feared that the entire Human Clan on the Ancient Continent would be driven out and slaughtered by the Alien Race.

Is the status of the Human Clan really that poor?

Ye Chen's expression was cold, feeling great animosity towards the Alien Race, but he didn't act recklessly, because this Ancient Continent was too unfamiliar, leading him to have certain suspicions in his heart.

He was questioning the true origins of the Ancient Continent.

One day, as he walked down the street of the Ancient City, he encountered a pitiful little girl, looking no older than four or five, dressed in shabby clothes that didn't fit.

Though her clothes were full of patches, they still appeared tattered, with several small wounds visible, her tender face dirty, leaving only a pair of helpless, pitifully large black eyes staring at a steamed bun shop, the steaming buns reflecting her longing gaze.

Finally, the little girl stumbled forward, lifting her dirty little face, pitifully saying, "Boss, can I have two buns? I'm so hungry, haven't eaten in days."

The shop owner glared, waving his hand to push the girl back several meters, dusting her with dirt and yelling, "Get lost, it's you again, lowly human, don't obstruct my business."

Though he didn't use Mana, the girl still ended up covered in injuries.

On the street, when various cultivators from different clans passed by, all remained indifferent, not one stepping forward to help the girl.

Seeing this, the girl neither cried nor caused a scene, simply holding her scuffed arm, quietly leaving, her limping silhouette tugging at Ye Chen's heart.

In a flash—

Ye Chen, filled with anger, instantly stood before the bun shop, staring coldly at the boss.

Though the shop owner was also a powerful cultivator in the Ancient City, under the cold glare of Ye Chen, he felt an intense chill, as if a giant dragon was staring down at an ant, turning pale and sweating coldly.

Only after Ye Chen left did the bun shop owner return to his senses, gasping heavily, astonished that such a formidable figure emerged from the Human Clan.

Though he noticed a few baskets of buns missing, all crafted from rare materials, including blood and Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures from the Exotic Beast of the wild forest, all valuable, he didn't dare pursue, guessing it was the young human's doing.

In an old alley, Ye Chen found the earlier little girl, still limping along, her small yet pitiful silhouette catching his eye.

Upon hearing footsteps, thinking the shop owner was chasing her, the girl quickly crouched down, trembling, pitifully saying, "Boss, please forgive me, I won't dare next time."

Ye Chen's heart ached, wondering why such a young girl must endure this.

He approached her, disregarding her dirty appearance, lifting her up, handing her freshly cooked buns, softly saying, "You must be hungry, eat." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

The little girl lifted her dirty face, looking at Ye Chen, then the steaming buns in his hands, swallowing hard, wanting to eat but reluctant and timid, softly saying, "Big brother, is it really for Qingqing?"

Qingqing, is that the girl's name?

Ye Chen's heart ached even more, nodding vigorously, "It is, all for you to eat."

"Thank you, big brother!" The little girl gratefully glanced at Ye Chen. Despite his repeated warnings about the heat, she had been hungry for days, unable to concern herself much, grabbing the buns with her dirty hands and wolfing them down, stuffing her little mouth full yet wanting more.

The ravenous sight pained even Ye Chen, a man of strong resolve, as he patted her back.

These buns were crafted from precious Exotic Beast meat and Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, containing powerful energy, potentially more than the little girl could handle without bursting.

Ye Chen aided her by channeling the release of Divine Power within, storing it deep, to be gradually released during her future cultivation, benefiting her training greatly.

Suddenly the girl paused while eating, Ye Chen softly asked, "Qingqing, what's wrong?"

Qingqing pulled out a bun, larger than her small hand, offering it to him, "Big brother, you eat too."

"Alright!" Ye Chen's eyes reddened a bit, grabbing the bun, disregarding the slightly black handprint upon it, eating it in big bites, finishing it in a few mouths.

Ye Chen, very patient, let her eat slowly, then pulled out a jade bottle containing true divine elixir, releasing extraordinary Spiritual Energy, transforming into Spirit Fog soaring upwards.

He poured a small cup, letting the little girl sip it, immediately exclaiming its delicious taste, as her body began to heal, dust falling away revealing a doll-like beauty.

Though still in torn clothes, she resembled a cute little princess, earning great sympathy, "So good! Big brother, I don't need much, just a sip will do, save it for yourself."

"Don't worry, big brother has plenty, you can drink as much as you like."

"Thank you, big brother." Qingqing nodded cheerfully, munching and sipping while her body constantly shimmered, her Spiritual Energy once again sealed within by Ye Chen.

"Could I save some buns and the tasty drink for Grandpa and Grandma?" she suddenly spoke, softly saying, "Grandpa and they have been hungry for a long time, and Grandpa is hurt, Qingqing wants to bring some food for them."

When Ye Chen didn't answer, she thought he was angry, lowering her head in silence, clutching her clothes' hem, timidly retreating, "Big brother, I'm sorry. You've already given Qingqing buns and tasty drinks; Qingqing is content, shouldn't have asked for more, I'm sorry."

Ye Chen's eyes tinged with emotion, this little girl truly thought of others. He directly handed more buns to Qingqing, filling her arms, crouching down softly, "No need to apologize, big brother has plenty, feel free to take."

"Really?" Qingqing lifted her little face, eyes sparkling with joy.

Ye Chen nodded firmly, "Really."

Finally, they said their goodbyes, Qingqing reluctantly watching Ye Chen, lightly biting her lower lip, whispering, "Big brother, can we meet again?"

"We will." Ye Chen nodded seriously, watching as Qingqing's silhouette faded into the distance, then turned to leave.

He couldn't remain in this area forever, needing to head to the Emperor Pass, soon to leave, unable to help more than he already had.

Moreover, he needed to act against the Alien Race, address potential threats to the Human Clan, and understand more about the Ancient Continent to confirm his suspicions.

Boom—

Suddenly, a thunderous noise shook the entire Ancient Continent, startling the world, allowing everyone to truly hear it.

"Has it finally arrived?" In the city, cultivators from various clans trembled, speaking, excitedly gazing at the Heavenly Universe.

Ye Chen's eyes shot astonishing beams, gazing at Cangyu.

There, dreadful beams descended from the sky, standing between heaven and earth, as formidable magnates arrived, akin to Heavenly Gods descending!
