Even If I'm Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem-Chapter 69Book 6: : Interrogation
“Name.”
“L-Li Desheng…”
“Li Desheng? What a weird name. You’re from the archipelago or something?”
“Uhm… My hometown’s a bit far from here.”
“Age?”
“988?”
“Be serious!”
Seated in his oversized chair, Graybert suddenly slammed his fist on the table. The impact tilted the lumenstone lamp, and he quickly straightened it again before glaring at the disheveled, bloodied stowaway in front of him.
“This is an interrogation! Keep lying and I’ll toss you into the sea and let the fish have you for dinner!”
“Uh… twenty-eight?”
“Tsk, only twenty-eight?”
Graybert jotted it down in his little notebook, glancing skeptically at Li Desheng’s thinning hairline.
“You’ve been working overtime, haven’t you?”
*…Is that really something you can tell just by looking?* 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
“Gender?”
Tied up like a dumpling, Li Desheng sat up straighter. “Uh… Isn’t it obvious?”
“Just answer the question!” Graybert slammed the table again, scowling. “No dodging the question—just answer!”
“…Male.”
“Now we’re getting somewhere.” Graybert gave an approving nod and continued, “Sexual orientation?”
The corner of Li Desheng’s mouth twitched. “…Do I really have to answer that? Is that seriously relevant?”
“Very.” Graybert nodded solemnly. “This one’s very important.”
The moment the words left his mouth, Li Desheng felt a chill crawl up his spine. He sensed the gazes of other crew members in the darkness.
Their eyes gleamed faintly… with an unmistakably lustful green glow.
*I’m doomed…*
*Here I am… out of the frying pan and straight into the fire. I was about to break the thousand-year-old virgin record in Thoughtless Heaven… Am I going to lose it to this bunch of otherworldly natives?*
Having barely escaped a monster’s jaws and now seriously injured, the overworked corporate slave could only curse the absurdity of fate as he imagined his tragic future.
Revealing his power and wiping out these ordinary folks would basically be suicide, so Li Desheng had no choice but to surrender to the situation.
He stared blankly at the pitch-black ceiling.
*Come on… just get it over with… Be gentle… I really hope they take turns and not all at once… It’s my first time, after all… I won’t be able to handle it…*
Watching Li Desheng slip into a dazed state, Graybert frowned and impatiently waved to the first mate standing nearby.
“This kid’s lost it again. Wake him up.”
“On it.”
The first mate, clearly a little too eager, approached with a gleam in his eye. He reached out with his calloused hand.
“What’s wrong, lad?” His voice was unexpectedly gentle, completely at odds with the foul-mouthed sailor he usually was. With honeyed sweetness, he drawled, “Need help?”
“No… Don’t come near me!” Li Desheng, unable to endure the horror of this reality, curled up defensively and stared pleadingly at the captain watching the scene unfold. “Please! Just keep asking questions! I’ll answer everything… Everything!”
“Hmph, at least you’ve got some sense.” Graybert nodded, and two sailors stepped in to pull the first mate away.
“You can tell me anything, lad, I’ll be happy to help you.” Unwilling to give up the chance, the first mate winked at Li Desheng as he was dragged away. “I’ll be waiting for you in the innermost room, second deck… 3:30 a.m.~”
*Get out of my face, creepy man!*
At that moment, Li Desheng seriously wondered if facing the monster head-on might have been the better choice. So what if he died? At least he’d die with dignity.
Graybert cleared his throat and resumed the interrogation. “Ahem, so, Mr. Li, why exactly did you sneak onto my ship?”
“I just wanted to hitch a ride… I mean, hitch a boat ride,” Li Desheng admitted honestly.
“Oh, I see.” Graybert jotted it down, then looked him over from head to toe. “Then tell me… why are you completely naked?”
Indeed, Li Desheng was stark naked. Fully exposed. It was no surprise Graybert had immediately ordered him tied up upon discovering him. Anyone would panic if they found a naked stranger lurking silently in the dark.
What if he was planning to take advantage of the dark and do something unspeakable to him? So what if he was a man? That was what made it even more terrifying!
Graybert stroked his chin, considering whether he should just toss this guy into the first mate’s room tonight. That would take care of two problems at once and bring a bit more peace and stability to the ship.
“Ah, well…” Li Desheng squirmed helplessly and said with pitiful resignation, “If I told you I ended up in this miserable state because of a mischievous devil who delights in bullying others and takes pleasure in their misfortune… would you believe me?”
“Oh~” Graybert’s eyes lit up with sudden understanding. “I get it, I get it. It’s that something S&M stuff, right? You young folks are really adventurous.”
“No, no…” Li Desheng tried to explain, but the captain’s gleeful, knowing grin said it all. No matter what he said now, his reputation was beyond saving.
“Forget it. Think what you want.” He slumped back in quiet resignation.
“Tsk, tsk. Typical. You youngsters get upset the moment you’re called out.” Graybert nodded in satisfaction and jotted something else into his notebook.
Then, the mood shifted.
“Last question,” Graybert said, his tone turning serious as he set the notebook aside. He locked eyes with Li Desheng, staring like he meant to peel back every layer of the man before him.
“This darkness shrouding the sea… Does it have anything to do with you?”
“Ha ha… I’ve got no idea what you’re talking about,” Li Desheng said flatly. “Do I look like someone capable of something that powerful?”
“You don’t.” Graybert nodded. If he had to sum up his first impression of this man, it would be: *somehow still alive because the heavens took pity on him who’s been single for over a thousand years.*
But… the timing was too convenient. The darkness descended. Then, shortly after, a stranger appeared on the ship. This part of the sea was a no-man’s-land!
This naked man radiated no magic power. And yet, here he was, out of the blue and in the middle of nowhere! If nothing was off about this, Graybert swore he would pluck out his own eyeballs and eat them.
