Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 37: Frost Bear
"How’s your condition in this cold?" walking closer, he patted the vulture’s neck.
KRRIIRRR!!
At least the two beasts seemed to fare better than them, they weren’t as much affected.
"Good..." Before assigning them any task, Neil questioned Nemo:
"Nemo, do you know how I can find those survivors? Or any way out of here?" he asked, there was a lot to consider. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
After a few long moments, Nemo finally answered:
"It is hard to tell the exact location, but many have gathered together somewhere ahead on the right."
"Should I try to contact them?" Nemo asked.
"Yeah, do that." Neil said, then looked at the path they needed to go on.
The sight of those enormous black bars made him feel uneasy, and that silhouette of some building or mountain, it too was eerie.
But then he glanced back at the sea, which was quite close and seemed unaffected by both hot and cold.
That place seemed even more dangerous, so he decided to move away as soon as possible.
"You two go out and check if there is any danger ahead in this direction, don’t go far or too high."
Neil pointed forward, as the two vultures flew up.
He planned to start moving immediately, the sea felt too dangerous.
Now that everyone had left, Neil’s gaze landed on his familiar, standing beside him, wide awake.
"Magnar, are you alright?" he bent down and patted Magnar’s head, the little cub like familiar looked up and purred.
"Oh, this level of heat isn’t a problem?" Neil understood the message easily.
For a few moments, he stood there silently, just looking around as all sorts of thoughts passed through his mind.
"Nemo, are there a lot of beasts, Phaged and such creatures here?" he asked, picking Magnar into his arms.
"Yes master, this place is lacking anything but danger."
Nemo answered and then continued to try to contact someone.
As the saying goes, danger and opportunity go hand in hand.
The more dangerous this place is, it will certainly offer big opportunities as well.
"I guess I won’t be lacking gene points or shards here."
He mumbled, though getting the cores of the domains for upgrading his own domain would be very difficult.
But he could worry about such things later, for now he just needed to stay alive and escape somehow.
Before long, the two vultures returned one by one and reported back to him.
Both had flown into different areas, so each reported one by one.
According to their report, there was a group of beasts ahead, with eight creatures moving through the thick snow.
Thankfully, none were at the 2nd legion rank, so Neil didn’t have to avoid them.
"Let’s wait a bit, once Mob is done with everything, we will continue."
He decided and walked into the workshop too, which was fairly warm.
He instantly felt better.
"Equip them with better equipment, if we are short on shards then wait."
Neil said to the busy Mob, as he worked on creating thick and warm clothes for everyone.
Ray and Fay had also arrived in the workshop after purchasing some food.
Neil also stored half of it in his inventory.
"After purchasing the food, we have less than 3,000 shards, which wouldn’t be enough for equipment." Mob said without stopping.
"Alright, that can wait." He decided.
He did possess the elemental bow, so hunting while staying in the domain would be easier.
...
After a couple of hours, Mob was done preparing a couple of pairs of clothes for everyone.
These clothes, although they cost quite a lot of shards, could keep them warm no matter how low the temperature dropped.
And just like that, most of the shards were gone, leaving some for emergency.
Then, Bob and Rob began to work on the alarming system and finding a way to make the area inside the domain warmer.
The archers returned to their watch towers and resumed their duties.
Ray and Fay just stayed in the kitchen, they were free for now just like Mob.
The vultures were constantly keeping watch around, while Magnar sat in front of the house with its size enlarged.
Temporarily, they could use the heat emanating from Magnar’s body, the familiar’s skin was now covered by lava.
"Alright, it’s time to move." Neil said as he took out the elemental bow.
Thanks to Magnar, he no longer felt cold just by standing beside his familiar.
[Slipping Stone Activated!]
Just as he activated the skill, his domain began to move in the desired direction.
At first slow, it soon rose to a speed of around 20 km/hr, the surrounding snow slowing it down quite a bit.
And just like that, they began to move towards the eerie bars.
Neil stood near the outer door of his domain, observing the surroundings; they were at a distance of ten feet from the hot side.
The two vultures were flying around the domain, constantly looking for any sign of danger.
The two elves were also completely focused.
"It looks like there might be a snowfall soon." Neil looked at the sky and mumbled.
The guardian in the metallic armor also stood beside him, it was being controlled by Nemo.
Unfortunately, a guardian could not leave the domain.
"To get out of here, I have to increase my strength as much as possible, and for that I need the gene points and shards, as much as possible."
Neil thought, completely determined.
Now that he was stuck here, he had to make the most of it, and for that he would have to hunt a lot of beasts and other creatures.
Before long, Neil heard faint distant noises of something moving in the snow along with growling.
He slowed down the domain, and once a faint silhouette appeared in the distance, Neil completely stopped his domain.
These were the eight beasts one of the vultures had reported, thankfully they were all in the 1st Origin.
"It is no surprise, since they are so far from their domain, the number and rank of these beasts will certainly be low." Nemo spoke, interrupting Neil’s thoughts.
"What? These beasts can also have domains?"
Neil asked in surprise as he positioned the elemental bow.
The two archers on the watch towers also took their stances, waiting for his command.
"Yes of course, like I mentioned before, there are at least two known powerful beasts here, they both have domains." Nemo added.
Neil nodded and decided to continue the conversation later, it was time to begin the hunt.
"All of them are just at the bronze class, this will be easy."
He thought, looking at the silhouettes, each of which was at least eight feet tall.
Because of the fog, he couldn’t clearly make out their appearance, but thanks to the fog, those beasts hadn’t noticed him either.
"..." He pulled the bowstring as instantly an air arrow formed, the two elves followed suit.
BANG
In the next instant, the arrow shot towards the head of one of the beasts, its speed faster than any other element.
WHOOSH
The air arrow pierced through its flesh, crushing its skull and brain and then shooting out from the back of its head.
Before the beasts could react, they were hit by three arrows.
The arrows pierced accurately through their heads, as three of the beasts fell, dead.
[You have killed a 1st Origin Bronze Class Frost Bear.]
[Would you like to collect the loot?]
