Extra And MC-Chapter 120 - 116 - Gaia
⸢ In the beginning, there was Gaia.
A primordial higher being before the inception of the world.
How she came to be, no one exactly knew.
But at the very least, it was of the belief that this entity that came into existence, was as a result of the handiwork of another far significantly unknown higher being.
Gaia, as if programmed by said unknown eminent being, had a single will to create a world.
This world would then further go on to house existences, each and every single one of them also created by Gaia’s will.
From the Valkyries of the home planet Talos, the Elves of the home planet Eldria, the Dwarfs of the home planet Helmor, the Vampires of the home planet Dhampiroth, the Ogres of the home planet Grommagrak, the Demons of the home planet Infernia and finally, the Humans of the home-planet Arcanora, all of it and more were her creations.
But was Gaia a single being?
No, further than that, just like a multiverse of worlds, Gaia was an entity that equally existed in various other worlds, all of it still as product of the far greater unknown higher being.
As a result, in the grand scheme of multiversally created worlds, another planet, similar to Arcanora but without the mana, a familiar planet which you both very much know as Earth, was also created.
That aside though and back to our Gaia, she, after aeons and aeons of maintaining balance in our world, gradually got tired of lording over her existences.
She had done as the unknown higher existed had requested of her and had noticed that from the moment all the planets in the world she had built had finally reached completion, the higher existences’ will, no longer had any hold over her and she could do as she pleased.
But because of her immense love for her creations, Gaia, ancestral mother of our world kept maintaining order across the planets for even more aeons to come, despite the obvious fact that she was getting so tired of doing so, granting almost an eternal period of peace to the world.
Finally reaching a point where she felt like she had done enough though, Gaia finally decided to descend down into the world and when she did, she chose her favorite planet with her favorite creations, the planet of Arcanora where the humans lived.
Although humans weren’t the best among her creations, and to be even more blunt, they were seemingly among the worst of her creations, constantly never at peace with themselves and shedding meaningless blood most of the time, it was their insane ability to adapt and compromise to achieve much greater things that she so much loved about them.
However, leaving her throne to descend into the world, Gaia knew that a lot of other planets and the creatures in them, especially Infernia and its Demons, would now be vying for her place as ruler of the world.
As a way to counteract this, she separated her entire will from herself, turning it into an entity of its own when she descended onto the human planet.
This will, well at least a part of it, eventually separated itself into various planets, purposely evading the planets that were hell-bent on conquest while adapting to other worlds that needed better ways to defend themselves in the form of Celestial Prana.
But the rest of that will, and also the far greater part of it, as if unable to leave its primordial mother alone, followed Gaia to Arcanora, further splitting itself into two parts; Aether which only a select few would only ever be able to use and then finally, Mana, which a good portion of their planet’s inhabitants would be able to tap into, granting them immense abilities to battle the fissures which appeared around the same time mana came too.
This fissures that appeared, were all actually connected to the various home-planets of the very many creatures she had created, indicating a bit of instability in the world’s balance, almost as if the world was begging for Gaia to return to her throne.
But the entity had done the best she could and seemingly having done her best to give everyone a fighting chance, at least in her own opinion, Gaia fully embraced her new life on Arcanora as a human being.
Despite only actually being able to live for a few hundred years, the entity and greater being turned human, genuinely enjoyed her ’few’ years on Arcanora before she finally went into eternal slumber.
Still, despite her peaceful death, Gaia unexpectedly left a few things behind.
Her utterly few offsprings!

These set of exceedingly rare humans, although unknown to most of them, asides being exceptionally loved by mana and aether, were also, able to wield Celestial Prana!
Turns out, a good chunk of Celestial Prana, over the few years of Gaia’s stay on Arcanora, found their way back to her, indicating that the various planets some of her will had previously split off to, had been wiped out of existence by the demons.
Due to this, the energy had no place to go back to so instead, a lot of it, that of which the demons were unable to convert to Nether, an energy meant to imitate the opposite form of Aether, found their way back to their ancestral mother.
Although Gaia knew about this, there wasn’t really much she could do, especially when she had lost most of her immense powers when she separated her will, which was essentially what gave her her god-like powers and authority, a gift from the unknown greater existence.
That being said though, Gaia had expected the Celestial Prana to die with her but the sentient energy which had now also fully developed a will of its own instead, continuously seeked out beings with a similar feel to Gaia, long even after her death, regardless of how little of her they resembled.
These similar set of existences to the ancestral mother of all, were Gaia’s direct descendants.
But like I previously stated, most of these humans with ancestral ties to Gaia were completely unaware of this extra energy and were unable to tap into it, talk less of using it.
Notwithstanding, there’s always an exception to every rule isn’t there?
I and Amael are one of those very few exceptions…
And so are you and your brother… ⸥
"…"
-Sigh…
Slowly closing the small book Xavier had given to both he and Flynn five months ago on the day of the Award Ceremony Banquet, Aiden sighed in resignation while turning his head sideways to gaze out the wide window pane beside him.
Simply enjoying the view of the clear and vast expanse of the boundless blue sky from the large window he was sitting by on the giant airship’s entertainment deck, a sense of unexplainable calmness washed over the young adult.
A gentle and soothing tune of a jazz waltz was playing in the background, and along with that were the quiet chatters and murmurs of other second-year cadets sparsely scattered around the lavishly furnished room and having a good time.
Propping his head with the couch’s fairly wide armrest, the eighteen-year old youth mused to himself while pondering over the contents of the book the Dean of their Academy had handed over to both of them each before completely disappearing with literally no way of contact.
Although he had told them he would answer all their burning questions when the time was right, that along with the small book in his hands had only helped increased he and Flynn’s curiosity even more.
This resulted in a situation where they kept having a slew of multiple questions that only led to more questions and even more questions to which they totally and genuinely had no answers to.
Feeling the gentle and rhythmic breathing of a sleeping Caroline on his chest, Aiden slightly tilted his head downwards to gaze at the beautiful lady who was comfortably nestled in his laps and taking a well-deserved nap, a big blanket covering both of them.
Staring at her immensely attractive features for a few more seconds, the youth brushed away a few strands of her silky black hair that were framing her face gently and although still unawake, the lady reacted slightly to the touch by gently adjusting her head on his chest before going back into her slumber again.
As Aiden enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere while softly stroking Caroline’s hair, he suddenly felt a disturbance in the vast atmosphere surrounding the luxurious airship.
’Hmmm?’ the youth inwardly voiced in a questioning tone.
’Are those…??? Seriously, not these guys again…’
-Sigh…
With a tired and slightly exasperated sigh this time, the youth gently maneuvered his way around the sleeping beauty by gently carrying her off his laps as he himself got up, placed her back on the soft velvety couch and then, readjusted her blanket before finally placing a kiss on her head and leaving for the airship’s main deck.
On his way to the deck, he came into contact with a few of his classmates, of which Adrian and Ivar who were also among, were all having fun with a game of pool while also having relatively mundane conversations and discussions.
Slowly walking over to the standard bar pool table they all stood around, the cue ball hitting and missing their targeted billiard balls as they each took their shots in successions, the youth informed all of them regarding what he had felt and after he did, they all nodded their heads in affirmation.
With that out of the way, Aiden finally made his way through the entertainment deck of the airship where he and was on, took the gracefully cascading stairways up into the beautiful atrium and past it, slowly ascended up and past the lavish airships’ other levels before finally, reaching the ship’s main deck.
Stepping out the automatic glass doors, the emerald-eyed youth felt as the breeze gently blew past him and ruffled his lustrous black hair, bathing him in a cool and calming atmosphere as he continued walking with relaxed steps across the deck.
Casually navigating his way through the airship’s main deck as if he knew the place like the back of his hand, all while respectfully greeting a few of the airship’s staffs here and there along with other acquainted second-year cadets that he knew, Aiden soon found two people who were standing side by side and close to the railings which were at edges of the immensely beautiful and well-designed wide deck.
His eyes landed first on the lady whose orange hair was slowly waving back and forth, a beautifully-crafted war bow which had a sleek and sophisticated design that perfectly blended high-tech materials with primitively eye-catching aesthetics, reminiscent of elven-natured weapons, firmly grasped in her hands.
Then his gaze travelled over to his brother, his silvery-green hair along with his well-tailored gray blazer gently swaying in the breeze too.
Firmly grasped in one his hand was his beautifully-forged, titanium-steeled katana that almost looked like it was glowing with a moonlight’s radiance even in the early afternoon sun due to its almost crystalline surface, all ready for battle.
Finally noticing his brother’s appearance, Flynn turned his head sideways and with a playful smile, threw a harmless jab at Aiden.
"Hey there Class Representative. Took you long enough"
