Extra And MC-Chapter 149 - 145 - ’Spooking’ A Prime Minister
A young, fairly handsome man, looking to be in his early thirties, was pacing back and forth with a panicked expression in his modernly and elegantly designed office, a soft jazz tune playing in the background.
His hair, which was tied into a short ponytail, was raven black and his eyes were a light-shade of brown.
Dressed impeccably in a suit and tie, the man kept pacing back and forth, his mind racing as he realized the extent of the damage he had inevitably had a hand in.
He had woken up this morning, only to witness, through a video, what seemed to be a bright golden ray of light, literally obliterating the entire Allied Islands Central Government Headquarters.
Nothing was left in the vicinity except a gaping wide hole that had almost unfathomable depths.
Even if many people hadn’t arrived yet at the Headquarters this morning due to not having any major meetings or discussions, there were still some people there nonetheless and their lives were abruptly forfeited without warning.
’Fuck!!!’
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!!!" Austin Wells, long-time friend of Harvey Roas and owner of the Sphinx’s Casino, cursed in fear with the entirety of his being.
’I should have cut off my ties with him! I should’ve!’ Austin inwardly reprimanded himself, his teeth now biting his fingers.
"I’m so fucked if it ever gets out that I had close ties with him!" Austin belittled himself as more and more beads of sweat kept forming on his face.
The person Austin was referring to, was of course, none other than Edgar Wright.
As a young and ambitious man, Austin had always wanted to join the Central Government from a small age and make a name for himself.

To make his dreams come true, Austin did whatever was necessary.
This rang especially true for him when his odds of actually get into the Central Government in such a corrupt nation like Flenor Islands was never based on merit but more on connections.
As an orphan with no one to sponsor him and grant him a strong footing, Austin, aged 25 at the time, had ’coincidentally’ come into contact with Edgar Wright.
Or to be more exact, Edgar had seeked the young chap out.
The elderly man knew the young man was in need of help and Edgar himself needed a pawn he could move as he wished in the Central Government.
Offering him a helping hand with the promise of ensuring that Austin’s dreams would come true, Edgar proposed a singular condition.
If, whenever, he asked of him to do something, regardless of how far-fetched it may seem, he should follow his orders without question.
Austin, although untrusting of the Edgar’s dubious offer at the time, still agreed to it considering he felt like he had nothing to lose.
And like a miracle, Edgar got him to the position of Prime Minister in no less than a year with all of his multiple connections.
Austin had then ultimately come to follow Edgar’s every word after that, simultaneously honoring his own end of the bargain.
But now, Austin was genuinely regretting that very decision.
"I should never have informed him about the ore dammit!" he cursed again.
Having heard from Harvey in one of their conversations that he found two Eclipsian Prisms instead of one, he had instantly remembered how Edgar had told him a few times to inform him if he ever heard about said ore.
Wanting to capitalize on the opportunity though, Austin had decided he would give Edgar the ore if he gave him a few high-powered weapons in return.
This had been something the Prime Minister had been wanting to get to for a while now to spruce up the defenses of his casino and guards but knowing fully well the Tower would never agree to his demands, he had requested of it from Edgar instead.
At first, the young man had expected the elderly man to refuse his offer since he was basically biting the hands that fed him but surprisingly, Edgar had accepted his request without a single complaint.
When Austin had then asked him back then what he wanted to use it for after handing the ore over to him, the elderly man had replied with such a malicious grin that sent shivers coursing through his entire being that he was making a weapon.
It didn’t take much for the young Prime Minister who was fairly smart to realize soon enough that the current rays were as a result of the very product of that man’s weapon.
"I really messed up thi- " Austin was about to speak when something genuinely terrifying happened to him.
-Slice!
-Thud! Thud!
His arms were suddenly and inexplicably severed from his body in an instant!
"A… A… ARRRRRGGGHHH!!!" Austin screamed in excruciating pain and terror!
The orifices left by the jutting ends of the cleanly sliced bones and flesh of his arms, spewed out blood like a fountain, instantly pooling beneath him like a small puddle.
Along with that were the tears of pure, torturous agony that instantly began streaming down the grown man’s eyes.
’How?! Why! Who?! The guards?!’ a rapid string of thoughts instantly ran through the dismembered man’s mind, his immense agony causing him to scream out in utter pain.
Unable to understand this scary occurrence or even make any heads or tails about it, Austin soon heard two eerily-sounding voices synchronously commanding him.
"Prime Minister!"
"We know of your relationship with Edgar Wright so let’s make this quick"
"The entrance to The Monolith’s main base. Hand the information over"
Hearing the two synchronous voices, Austin swiftly complied with tears streaming down his eyes and muffled shouts and groans of pain leaving his mouth.
"I-I-In my… arrrggghhh! … f-f-front p-p-pocket. T-t-take… mmggh! ... it! Please! J-just l-leave m-me alone. I b-b-beg of you! Arrgghhh!!!"
Uttering those words, Austin felt as one of the beings whom had attacked him, move over to him and retrieve a small rectangular device from his pocket.
"So, what is this?" one of the voices asked this time.
"How does it work?" the other voice swiftly added.
"I-It’s… mgh! … a p-plane-shifter! Arrgh!" the dismembered Prime Minister painfully blurted out while writhing in agony, an ever increasing puddle of blood forming underneath him.
"Ju-Just imbue… Mmmrraagghh! ... m-m-mana into it!" he quickly added in between a muffled groan turned pained scream.
"Anything else?" both voices synchronously asked again in an unsettlingly creepy manner.
"M-Map! Arrgh! I-It… mffgh! … has a m-map! C-can be … mgghh! … l-linked to s-s-smartwatch!" the prime minister spat out as more tears of excruciating pain streamed down his eyes.
This time, Austin didn’t hear any eerie response after replying but instead, watched as a vial was suddenly retrieved from thin air.
Moving over to him as if floating through the air, Austin watched as his crying mouth was forcefully held in place and the potion was administered orally.
Expecting poison, the Prime Minister had tried his absolute best to resist but, the grip on his jaw ensured that he took in every last drop.
Instantly, the young man watched as his dismembered limbs suddenly regenerated at a rapid speed, completely restoring his lost limbs to him in an instant.
As this was happening, Austin also then watched as two handsome youths, yet to reach their twenties, suddenly appear like a cleared mirage before him.
Unable to comprehend how or why this was happening, the young Prime Minister soon got his answers.
"See. I told you spooking the shit out of him would ensure we got what we wanted immediately" Flynn got up from his crouching position while throwing aside the vial containing the advanced potion.
"Sigh… That was beyond spooking man. That was extreme…" Aiden replied while walking over to the currently still frightened and perplexed Prime Minister.
"He deserves it" Flynn casually shrugged in response instead.
Originally, when Flynn and Aiden had first arrived at the casino, they had just thought of rampaging through since they had little to no time to waste.
But upon further thought, both had decided to sneak in via one of the open windows present at the topmost floor of the casino which they had learned of to be where the Prime Minister’s personal office was located.
Having done that, they instantly used Ivelia’s odorless sleeping potion, putting all the guards on the floor to sleep while quietly making their way into Austin’s office.
Luckily too, before they came in through the top floor’s window, they had noticed an open window leading directly into the Prime Minister’s office.
Them taking care of the guards first was done in an effort to prevent reinforcements from coming in when they began speaking with him.
So, having done this, both brothers had gone out back the window they came in, quickly went around in a few seconds and soon, were able to noiselessly enter his office.
Upon actually getting into the office though, they had both then watched with the nano-band’s camouflage still on as Austin paced back and forth, a fearful and panicked expression on his features.
Watching for a few more minutes, Flynn had come up with the pretty terrifying idea as he whispered into his brother’s ears, the soft jazz in the background ensuring he wouldn’t be heard.
"You’re right though. It’s certain he’s a bit involved in all this, isn’t he?" Aiden now rhetorically added while now crouching down to meet Austin’s eye-level.
"Hello Prime Minister Wells. I’m pretty sure what you just had to experience doesn’t even come minutely close to what the thousands of innocent people that just died had to go through" the emerald-eyed youth calmly spoke, his tone casual.
"So, for your own sake, turn yourself in to The Tower yeah?" Aiden then patted Austin on the cheek with a small smile that was literally the opposite of how he was really feeling.
Seemingly done with their slight ’interrogation’ of Flenor Island’s Prime Minister, Aiden swiftly got up, and then, right there, in front of the still, currently scared man, both brothers used the device they had retrieved from him.
Instantly, what seemed to be a white shroud of swirling energy surrounded both of them and soon, they both found themselves whisked away by the occurrence to The Monolith’s main base.
Still shaken by the entire occurrence though, Austin just kept blankly staring at the spot the youths had disappeared from, far long even after they had gone.
