Chapter 232: Train

Fenric kept firing again and again.

Seraphina made it harder every time.

First, she walked in front of the target and made it sway side-to-side with her mana.

Fenric fired—THUNK.Direct hit.

Then she made it move faster.

Another hit.

She raised an eyebrow.

"Not bad... let’s try something else."

She opened her hand, and several small blue birds made of mana formed in the air. They fluttered quickly, weaving around each other.

"Shoot."

Fenric didn’t even think. He aimed, released—

FWIP—THUNK.

One bird popped.

Another arrow—another hit.

Then another.

Every mana bird was destroyed in seconds.

Seraphina lowered her hand slowly.

"...We won’t need to spend much time on archery. You already have strong instincts."

Fenric grinned proudly. "So I’m good?"

"You’re good," Seraphina said. "But you still need to train your body."

Fenric blinked. "Physical training? Why? I’m an archer."

Seraphina gave him a look.

"If your arms shake, you miss.If your legs are weak, you can’t dodge. If your stamina is low, you collapse before the fight ends."

Fenric swallowed.

"...Okay, fair."

She tapped her chest lightly. A faint golden aura flickered around her hand.

"I am an Aura user. That means I can teach you physical power, aura control, and body strengthening."

Fenric frowned. "Aura user?"

Seraphina nodded and began explaining in simple words:

"There are many kinds of power in this world. People focus on different ones."

She raised one finger.

"First: Nature Energy. Used by druids, elves, beast tamers."

Second finger.

"Mana. This is used by mages, elemental users, spell casters."

Third finger.

"Aura. Used by knights, warriors, weapon experts—people who fight with the body and spirit."

Fourth finger.

"Celestial Energy. Very rare. Used by rune masters, holy knights, shrine warriors."

Fenric’s eyes widened. "There are so many...?"

"That’s only the basics," Seraphina said. "There are dozens more. Darkness wielders, soul casters, blood mages, spirit users, and others."

Fenric gulped as he tried to imagine all of them.

"But for now," she said firmly, pointing the training stick at him, "you will learn Aura. It will help your body match your archery talent."

Fenric nodded quickly. "Okay! I’m ready!"

Seraphina smirked a little.

"Good. Then let’s begin."

She pointed at the giant wooden log again.

"Start with lifting that. One hundred times."

Fenric stared at the log.

"...Can I go back to shooting birds?"

"No."

Fenric sighed.

Spunky barked encouragingly.

Liana waved from the fence. "Don’t die!"

Fenric took hold of the log.

"Okay... aura training... here I go..."

Seraphina watched with calm eyes.

Physical training had begun.

Fenric grabbed the wooden log and started lifting it.

One.

Two.

Three.

By ten, his arms were shaking.

By twenty, he was sweating.

By thirty, he wondered if he made the biggest mistake of his life.

Seraphina didn’t look impressed at all.

"Your form is wrong," she said. "Lift with your legs too, not just your arms."

"I’m... trying...!" Fenric gasped.

Spunky barked like a drill sergeant.

Liana sat on the fence, eating fruit. "Should I call the healer now or later?"

"Not helping!" Fenric shouted.

Seraphina tapped the ground with her stick. "Focus. Aura training is about building a strong body first. Aura control comes after."

Fenric groaned but kept going.

When he finally reached one hundred, he collapsed onto the ground.

"I... can’t... feel... my arms..."

Seraphina crouched down next to him.

"This is only the warm-up."

Fenric stared at her like she just kicked him. "Warm-up...? You mean... there’s more...?"

"Yes," she said calmly. "A lot more."

Fenric covered his face. "Why... why did I sign up for this...?"

Liana laughed. "Because you want to live longer."

"Right..." Fenric muttered.

As Seraphina stood, something new appeared in front of Fenric.

A golden notification screen.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Fate Rite — Golden Origin Path (Passive Triggered)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Small Fate Boost Activated:

• Your body adapts faster to physical training.

• Pain and fatigue reduce quicker.

• Muscle growth increases slightly.

Fenric blinked.

"...Oh. That’s... useful."

His breathing steadied faster. His arms stopped burning so much.

He could actually move again.

Seraphina noticed. "Recovering fast?"

"Yeah... weirdly fast."

She nodded thoughtfully. "Good. That recovery speed... maybe it’s because of your class. ’Bow Saint,’ right? Saint-class users grow much faster than normal fighters."

Fenric froze for half a second but forced a calm smile.

"Y-yeah. Must be the class," he said quickly.

He kept the rest hidden.

No mention of the Fate Rite.

No mention of Golden Origin Path.

Seraphina didn’t question it.

"That’s what a Saint-type class does," she continued. "It helps your body keep up with your potential."

Fenric nodded. "Then maybe this training won’t kill me."

Seraphina smirked slightly. "We will see."

She pointed toward the track around the training grounds.

"Next: ten laps. Run."

Fenric’s smile died instantly.

Liana nearly fell off the fence laughing.

Spunky barked excitedly, like Run, human! Run!

Fenric groaned.

"...Okay... fine... ten laps..."

He started running.

As he moved, a small golden message popped up in front of him.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Golden Fate Flow — Minor Effect:

• Your movement becomes slightly smoother.

• Your breathing steadier.

• Your stamina drains slower.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Fenric felt the difference right away.

"Wow... this Fate Rite is crazy..."

He kept running, slowly finding his rhythm.

Seraphina watched him with calm eyes, arms folded.

"This is only the beginning," she said softly. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"And with a Saint-type class... you might shine brighter than most."

Fenric didn’t hear her.

He was too busy gasping for air.

Fenric finished his ten laps by somehow not dying on the ground.

That day became the first of many.

And Seraphina did not go easy on him.

The First Week

Every morning:

• Log lifting

• Running

• Push-ups

• Balance training

• Weapon drills

• Aura breathing practice

Every afternoon:

• Bow accuracy

• Moving targets

• Reflex training

• More running

• More pain

Fenric collapsed every single day.

But every single time...

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Golden Origin Path — Passive Recovery Triggered

• Fatigue reduced

• Body adapts

• Muscles strengthen faster

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Fenric would stand up again.

Sometimes within minutes.

Seraphina noticed how quickly he recovered, but she didn’t comment.

She simply trained him harder.
