Chapter 131: Vice Principal Amaera Castillon

The class was already coming to an end. After a brief moment, Kaiser stood up and left the room without even glancing in Dyana’s direction, as if she didn’t exist. The mature woman in her thirties remained motionless near her lectern, deep confusion knotting her thoughts.

’Shouldn’t I be pleased that he showed no reaction? If he had reacted, it could have alerted Isabelle or Kris?’ she told herself.

"No, I should confront him. What happened with Kris was unacceptable. Kaiser let his feelings, or his anger, take over and used his strength without any restraint against my son."

’The immaturity of his action disgusts me. Even with the most effective healing potions, Kris still complained of persistent soreness.’

...

Meanwhile, Kaiser walked with determined steps toward the director’s office. He knocked two sharp knocks on the massive oak door.

"Enter."

When he pushed the door open, he realized that Director Daeron was not alone. A woman stood facing the large desk, clearly in the middle of a conversation.

It was the vice principal, Amaera Castillon.

At the sound of the door, she slowly turned her head toward him. Her face with fine features was pale, framed by long cyan-blue hair that waved down to the middle of her back.

Her silver eyes, filled with coldness, settled on him. Her slightly rosy and full lips pursed imperceptibly. She wore a light azure dress, almost translucent, adorned with fine lace and patterns evoking frost.

The fabric clung shamelessly to her slender and voluptuous curves, highlighting generous breasts, a slim waist and marked hips.

’Hmmm~, a cold milf?’

As soon as his gaze met Kaiser’s, her mana deployed without warning.

’WTF!’

A wave of cold emanated from her, invading the room with a glacial breath that instantly frosted the entire space. The air became sharp to breathe. The director, interrupted mid-sentence, raised his eyebrows, visibly surprised by this sudden aggression.

Instinctively, Kaiser’s repulsion aura activated in response. The two forces collided with a dull crack. The floor groaned, and a network of fine cracks radiated under their feet.

"Uh... What’s going on here exactly?" The director scratched his head while looking from one side to the other.

The scattered documents on the desk were lifted by the violence of the clash, several sheets tearing in the air as if struck by blades.

Kaiser immediately adopted a defensive posture, muscles tensed, ready at any moment to draw his twin swords. On her side, Amaera remained like marble, perfectly straight, but her gaze had hardened, reflecting the silver glow of her mana.

The director observed the confrontation in silence for several seconds, his expression gradually becoming weary. Finally, he let out a long audible sigh. With a wide and careless gesture of his right hand, he made a motion as if shooing away a fly.

The effect was immediate: the two warring auras annihilated each other in a residual tremor, and the crushing pressure weighing on the room disappeared all at once, leaving a tense silence. Kaiser and Amaera both flinched slightly, destabilized by how easily their conflict had been defused.

"Why don’t we start by calming down?" the director suggested in a calm voice that brooked no argument. "You’re about to reduce my office to rubble." He accompanied his words with a small tranquil smile, and the atmosphere, though still charged, lost some of its aggression.

He then turned toward Kaiser, crossing his fingers on his desk. "So, tell me, Kaiser. What do I owe the honor of your visit?"

Kaiser answered without detour. "Hello Director, I wanted to know the procedure for acquiring a manor."

The director raised an eyebrow with interest, then his smile widened, tinged with vague amusement. "Ah, I see. Looks like someone is very eager to make himself comfortable."

Kaiser felt a wave of irritation. That smirk was unbearable to him, knowing the true nature of the man.

Amaera, for her part, had slightly turned away. Crossing her arms under her breasts, a gesture that unintentionally accentuated her figure. Her gaze rested on Kaiser.

’Does she know me?’

"Alright. And if you told me how to proceed?" Kaiser insisted.

The director took a breath before continuing. "Very well," he replied. He settled into the leather of his armchair.

"As you already know, the academy operates with a strict ranking system based on merit and power. The higher you climb in that ranking, the more privileges you obtain, particularly in terms of housing. For someone of your level, getting a manor would have been simple if you had joined a faction from the start." He paused, observing Kaiser’s reaction.

"However, you chose a solitary path, which complicates things. Therefore, only two concrete options remain for you."

He raised two fingers, illustrating his point.

"The first consists of climbing the ranks normally. That means accumulating merits, victories, contributions to the academy, until you reach the top fifty of the general ranking. It’s a long but stable path. The second option is more... direct. It consists of challenging and defeating one of the top fifty people in the ranking. In case of victory in an official duel, you immediately inherit their rank and privileges." The director lowered his hand.

"But it should be noted that this second scenario is very rare. Individuals at that level are formidable, and challenges are strictly regulated to avoid abuse."

"I see," Kaiser said, a discreet smile on his lips.

The director looked at him for a moment, then smiled in turn, as if he could read his thoughts perfectly. "I sincerely hope, for everyone’s peace, that your steps will go smoothly."

"Thank you for the information," Kaiser replied. "I’ll leave you to your discussion then. And sorry for the disturbance."

With that, he turned on his heels and left the office. To his great surprise, Amaera, who had remained silent throughout the interview, detached herself from the wall where she was leaning and followed him without a word. He didn’t bother to comment on her presence and simply continued walking down the corridor.

After about twenty meters further, she finally broke the silence, her clear voice echoing softly.

"Your performance was quite impressive earlier. I must admit I’m very surprised."

Kaiser stopped abruptly and turned to face her, his expression now neutral. "I’m the one who’s surprised. I never imagined the vice principal herself would attack one of her own students."

Amaera let out a cold laugh. "The circumstances were special. But let’s move on. You were very impressive during the entrance exam. The technique you used... it even surprised me. Was it a technique or an Art? It seems quite special."

"Delighted that someone of your rank noticed someone like me," Kaiser replied with a touch of irony.

She ignored the sarcasm and continued, her gaze remaining fixed on him. "You didn’t answer me. This technique... where did you learn it? It doesn’t belong to conventional styles."

"By chance, during my travels," he evaded in a laconic tone, hoping to end the subject.

She tilted her head slightly, a lock of hair sliding over her shoulder. "I see. It seems hidden masters are running around the streets now."

Kaiser felt irritation rising in him and frowned. The stream of questions was clearly becoming annoying. "In ruins, during one of my explorations," he replied, giving the minimum information, not wanting to mention the name Sulyvhan or the real circumstances of obtaining Sundering Eclipse.

Amaera stared at him for a few more seconds. Then she slowly nodded. "Very well. Sorry for bothering you. In that case, I’ll take my leave."

"No problem," Kaiser replied.

He watched her walk away. Her azure blue dress waved slightly with each of her movements, clinging to the curve of her hips and accentuating the sway of her bouncing ass. Once she disappeared around the corner of the corridor, he resumed walking, but his mind was now plagued by a dull agitation.

’Why all these questions? Why this sudden interest in Sundering Eclipse? And why this hostility as soon as she saw me?’

Suddenly, a notification rang in his head.

[The Vice Principal Amaera Castillon deeply hates you! She has a suspicion about your identity.]

Kaiser stopped dead.

"WTF? But I don’t even know her... I’ve never interacted with her before today," he muttered between his teeth.

He stood there for a moment, rereading the system message. No prior interaction. No memory of her. Yet the hatred seemed very deep. It made no sense.

"Fuck..." he swore as he held his forehead looking annoyed.
