Chapter 62: Consulting with Morgana

After having a talk with Principal Adrian, they went back to class.

During break time, most students went back to their dormitories since no lecture was taken, and some went to train, such as Damien and others.

While Noah, he was going toward Morgana Celestine’s cabin.

The reason was simple. He wanted to join an adventurer’s guild. He wanted to take permission from her.

He had tried to read the rules, and he got to know that they could join adventurer guilds. But they needed to report to the academy before going on any mission, how many days it might take, and in which place they were going on the mission.

So in case something happened to the students or they didn’t come back in the reported time, the academy would know.

Noah came to her cabin and stood outside.

He remembered how he and those three idiots were brought here by a senior.

"Huff... calm down, Noah. Why are you nervous to talk with her? Your reputation is good now. No need to worry."

He knocked on the door.

The door was not huge and grand like Principal Adrian’s. It was just a normal door.

Knock

"Instructor Morgana. It’s Noah. Can I come in?"

There was silence, but then her strict voice came.

"You may enter."

Noah pushed the door open.

Inside the instructor’s office, Morgana sat behind the desk with elegant poise. Her sky-blue hair was neatly arranged in a sleek bun, with a single loose bang gracefully framing the side of her face.

She wore a crisp white long-sleeved blouse that perfectly accentuated the generous curves of her breasts. Her skin was flawlessly smooth and fair, almost luminous under the soft lighting. Her striking amethyst eyes held their usual icy authority.

Noah stood frozen for a moment, simply staring at her in a daze. In class, when his mood had been foul, he had barely noticed her beauty. But now, in the quiet of her office, he couldn’t look away. She was breathtaking.

Morgana remained focused on the documents in front of her for a few seconds longer.

Then, slowly, she lifted her gaze to meet his. As always, her amethyst eyes were cold and strict, carrying the sharp weight of authority.

Both of them stared at each other for a while.

Watching Noah not saying anything, she decided to break the silence.

"What is it, Noah? Why did you come here to meet me? Don’t tell me you just came here to stare."

At her words, Noah came out of his trance.

By no means was Noah some man who only thought about women.

In his last life, he was not like this. But the women of this world were just too beautiful that he couldn’t help but get mesmerized by them.

In the end, he was just a twenty-year-old guy in his last life, and nineteen years old here.

He didn’t have any experience with women of this appearance.

’People were crazy for actresses for no reason... the women of this world are just on a crazy level.’

Noah walked toward her desk and asked permission. "Can I sit here?"

She observed his handsome face, which was nothing special in her eyes.

"Hmm... you can... but do you want to talk about something long that you are asking to sit?"

Noah pulled one of the two chairs in front of her desk and sat comfortably on it. He gave her his signature fak– his signature true smile.

The gentle smile just looked too charming on his handsome face.

"It’s not something that would take too much of your time."

"Okay... then what is it?"

"Actually, I wanted to join an adventurer’s guild. I came to inform you and, well... kind of wanted advice from you. If you know any good guild that I could join. Also, if there are any rules about this that I might not know, then I would be grateful for your help."

She leaned back against her chair. Her fingers tapped on the desk.

Morgana leaned back against her chair, her fingers tapping lightly on the polished wooden desk. The soft, rhythmic sound filled the silence for a moment as she studied Noah carefully.

Her amethyst eyes narrowed slightly, not in suspicion, but in evaluation.

"...An adventurer’s guild, huh..." she murmured, almost to herself.

Noah remained silent, sitting straight yet relaxed, waiting for her response. He didn’t interrupt. He knew better than that.

After a brief pause, she folded her arms loosely beneath her chest and spoke again.

"You did your research at least. That’s good. Many students come here with half-baked ideas without even reading the academy rules."

Her gaze sharpened slightly.

"As you already know, the academy allows students to join adventurer guilds. But that privilege comes with responsibility. You are not free to act recklessly outside just because you are talented."

Noah nodded. "I understand."

She continued.

"There are multiple guilds you can join. Most students at your level enter low to mid-tier guilds. Iron and bronze-ranked guilds are for beginners. Silver-ranked guilds handle intermediate missions. Gold-ranked guilds... are where things start to get serious."

Her fingers stopped tapping.

"You are not suited for bronze," she said bluntly. "It would be a waste of your ability."

Noah raised an eyebrow slightly but didn’t argue.

"So your options are Silver... or lower-end Gold guilds," she added.

She leaned forward slightly now, resting her elbow on the desk and supporting her chin with her hand.

"But," she paused, her tone shifting just a little, "if you’re asking for my recommendation..."

Her eyes locked onto his.

"There is one guild."

Noah straightened slightly. "The name is Crimson Eyes," she said.

Her voice was calm, but there was a subtle weight behind those words.

"It is a mid-tier Gold-ranked guild. Not the strongest, but stable. Disciplined. Their members are not idiots who chase death for glory. You are still at lower core but becasue if being academy student you will be accepted there."

She paused briefly before adding,

"And I know the guild master personally."

That alone carried a lot of meaning.

"If you join them, you will be guided properly. You won’t be thrown into meaningless danger, and you’ll actually grow."

Noah listened carefully, nodding slowly.

"I recommend you join that one," she concluded.

There was no hesitation in her tone. Noah smiled slightly. "Then I’ll trust your recommendation."

Morgana gave a small nod.

"Good. Also, you are near a breakthrough. I can feel it. I hope you will try to go on missions after ranking up."

"As you say, Instructor."

Then her expression turned serious again as she continued with the rules.

"Now listen carefully. This part is important."

Noah’s posture straightened.

"If you plan to take missions, you must report to the academy beforehand. Always. You will submit where you are going, what type of mission it is, and how long you expect to be gone."

Her gaze hardened slightly.

"If you fail to return within that time frame without notice, the academy will assume the worst."

Noah understood what that meant.

"And," she continued, "you are still a student first. Your primary responsibility is your training here."

She raised a finger slightly.

"Take missions on weekends or during free periods. Do not let guild work interfere with your classes."

Noah nodded again. "Understood."

"If a mission requires more time," she added, "you will apply for leave in advance. I will review it. If necessary, the principal will be informed."

She leaned back again.

"Balance both. That is the key. If you fail at either, you will be forced to withdraw from guild activities."

Her tone made it clear that this wasn’t a suggestion.

Noah listened to every word carefully, committing it all to memory.

After she finished, there was a brief silence.

Then Noah stood up slowly.

"Thank you, Instructor," he said sincerely. "That was really helpful."

Morgana gave a small nod. "It’s my duty."

She paused for a moment, then added,

"And Noah..."

He looked at her.

"You did well during that incident."

Noah blinked slightly.

"I heard everything from Damien," she continued. "Your actions, your decisions... your composure." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Her eyes softened just a fraction.

"I am impressed."

For a moment, Noah just stood there.

Then a genuine smile spread across his face.

"Thank you, Instructor," he said, his voice lighter now.

Then, with a slight playful tone, he added,

"Getting a compliment from a beautiful lady like you is a great honor for me."

Morgana stiffened. Just for a second. It was subtle. She frowned. Just when she was going to scold him,

Noah gave a respectful bow.

"See you later, Instructor."

With that, he turned and walked toward the door.

He opened it, stepped out, and closed it behind him.

The room fell silent again.

Morgana remained sitting there, completely still.

Her fingers, which had always moved with control and precision, now rested motionless on the desk.

"...This boy..."

She muttered quietly, then rubbed her temples.

She didn’t know why, but Noah looked like a troublesome kid who would bring a lot of problems. Just like on the first day.

Then she straightened slightly, regaining her usual composed expression.

"Hope he won’t do some idiotic things and act like a normal student."
