Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 189: Search party

Onia came running in with 2 knights following behind her. Worry plastered all over her face as she approaches the group of priests.

"What the hell happened to her!?"

She asked the priest nearby, hoping to get something on the prison that broke.

"We need the hair right now!"

The priest that is nearby quickly organizes the divination. They approach Plututs and relay the situation to him. Then the man himself order the search.

Plutus doesn’t like it but in this situation, they need to use a burner right now. He didn’t bring any, so he had to make do with one of the divination priests.

Amidst the worry on Onia’s face and the divination priest setting up to burn themself, Plutus approaches Reeva.

"What are you planning?"

Reeva has already gotten out of being a heretic and saving his people is very easy to do. So, Plutus couldn’t gap what Reeva was trying to achieve with this prison break.

"I don’t know either, I didn’t plan this"

The guy is just as shocked as the priest. If the story had flowed like it needed to, he would have gotten all of them out of this sticky situation by now. However, the prison break throws a massive wrench in his plan.

As two outcomes, there’s an outside force kidnapping people and using the distraction of the assassin. Two people were in that mobile prison, HIda and Leon. He doubted that someone would target a maid under Duke Antores.

The only possibility is Leon...

On the other hand, this could be a HIlda breaking out on her own. But he couldn’t know what drove her to escape. He knows that Hilda could read that he has some kind of plan and likely trusts in him.

So the missing piece...

"We have found some blood! We could use this for the divination!"

The piece that fell off the prison has a lot of blood in it. The priest brought them over to the division to get a more accurate divination. Now there are two directions they could take, Theia is missing, and the blood on the prison door.

"We proceed with the blood first"

Since the priest has to get injured for this divination Plutus needs to prioritize the "Criminal" first.

"But my sister...." Onia try to voice her concern

"Your sister could wait." But PLutus shut it down as soon as she said it. "Proceed with the ritual."

"Oh god please lead me to the truth" It’s the same one that divine Reeva answered earlier.

As the ritual goes on, the eyes start to burn up and the vision comes to the priests. And as always Reeva wasn’t comfortable with the sight and turned away. The priest screams in agony before he answers the question.

"There...’s a big wolf.... summoned by a.... heretic with purple hair... that let them out"

That answers both Reeva’s questions at once. The purple hair must have been Theia, she likely did something to let them out. Reeva wasn’t sure what she could do but there was something about the wolf.

"Where are they right now!" Plutus ask

To change the question in the middle of another divination is possible but the agony that follows will double as well. However, most priest would be willing to sacrifice themself.

"They’re....ahHHHH in the forest"

Plutus grits his teeth. That’s not a good clue to start from. They could have gone anywhere. North east south west, this place is surrounded by a forest. They’d need a different divination priest to ask soft questions and use Hilda’s blood as a medium to find accurate answers.

"Why’d Theia...." Onia head’s spun as she heard the priest.

"Organize a search party and go after them!"

"But your holiness...."

"What?"

"We only have one divination priest left, out of 3 we sent one on searching for the assassin, and one burned just a moment ago. If something were to happen with the heretic here then we would have no one to divine the answer..."

Plustus looks at Reeva and considers revealing the guy’s identity, however, he’s holding it off since it would cause more chaos among the priest.

"Then we all go searching! I will take the lead"

And with that, the biggest search part has been formed consisting of 5 priests 4 knights 1 royal student, and a heretic.

"We are quite far now, "

Hilda stopped after traveling for a while, she would like to go further but judging from Leon’s stamina he wouldn’t be able to keep up.

"Thank god... how did you run that fat while carrying another person."

"You’re just weak."

"No, I’m not! you’re the monstrous one! God dammit I’ll rest a bit"

His body sank into the snow in a sitting position against the nearby tree, Hilda also did the same, putting Theia on the side and sitting against the tree. he rolled her hand into a fist and checked the condition of her body. There is some truth to Leon’s ramble, he has much more stamina than she should have.

Traveling this kind of distance with a person on her back should have put some fatigue on her but her body feels strangely fine. She should be able to travel like this for more than a few hours at least.

It must have something to do with a physical circle that she has. After transforming back from a demon form she has this circle stuck inside her body. She’d like to share it with Reeva but the priest covered them all day long so she didn’t have the chance.

But she was sure it had something to do with her increased stamina.

Another weird thing was the fact that she would see a red thread coming from injured people. She would like to know the answer right now but it seems more than impossible.

Boom!

When she thought she could relax, an explosion cut that feeling short. It was not near her but the fact that she could hear it meant that something big was happening.
