Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 196: Sudden visit
In the dead of night, the forest seems to be in turmoil. Not because of some fantastic beast but because of the storm. It’s raging for more than an hour now and there is no sign of it slowing down.
Brent needs to seek refuge inside the well because of how bad the storm is. A minute up there and his body would have froze.
He sat there waiting for his comrade at the bottom of the well. They had been searching for a potential treasure in the place for a while now. But alas, they could be seen exiting the door—no, they could be heard exiting the door.
With the condition of the door opening when in pitch dark, Brent needs to snub the fire out unless he wants to trap his friend inside.
"Brent?"
It was Ghaarsh who noticed Brent’s smell first. Lighting up the oil lamb Brent reveals himself.
"You didn’t leave us after all, I was worried about how to get back!"
Happy to see him here Ghaarsh throws himself on top of Brent, who quickly dodges the white hair boy.
"I would have left, if it wasn’t for the storm outside. It’s too much for me to traverse."
"Really!? let me see"
Ghaarsh moves upward, his body is as nimble as a monkey climbing a tree. At the top of the well, the already broken well has been greatly affected by the pile of snow. There Ghaarsh confirm Brent’s assessment.
"It’s as you say, the blizzard is not looking good."
Coming down the well, he brushes the snow off his shoulder.
"We will have to wait it out"
Klad said looking at Brent. The prince looks back but does not make a fuss about it, he is paranoid about getting this potion to Theia but there is no use getting pissed in this situation where they can’t control anything. Besides, Theia won’t be able to go anywhere in this weather either.
So the only thing he could do was to hunker down and bid their time. The cold starts seeping underground through the well hole. It’s slow but the temperature starts decreasing and the sole oil lamb that they had with them is not giving enough heat.
Seeing that Brent first is shaking Ghaarsh suggests a plan.
"I could properly get out there in my wolf form"
"Good idea, maybe deliver this to Theia?" Brent extended the box to Ghaarsh But the beast boy didn’t take it.
"I don’t have enough mystic to reach the village, but I do have enough to gather some wood"
"I guess that could work..."
Brent said, a bit bumped by that statement. Guess, they would have to settle for a fireplace for now.
"I’ll be back in a bit!"
Ghaarsh jumped out and left. Then he came back with a stack of branches that he retrieved from the snow.
"Thank you... OW! Stop!"
The wolf drops off the woods and then proceeds to shake off the snow, sending it everywhere, and hitting Klad and Brent in the process. Ghaarsh laughs as he sees his friend getting struck by the snow. Brend and Klad also laugh it off since it was just a silly prank.
The party soon gets a fire started by using the oil lamp. Connecting the branch to a fire. It burns to bring light inside the cave, the excess smoke goes out of the well making it somewhat breathable at least for the time being.
"The snow is really bad.... huh?" Brent noticed something off
"Yeah there’s no sign of slowing down at all" However Ghaash fails to reach it
"No, look at the well, Shit!"
Upon Brent’s words, the other two looked up and saw what Brent was talking about. The well was not stable in the first place so with the heavy storm and Ghaarsh wolf form going in and out, the structure just collapsed.
Crumble
The stone of the well foundation starts falling down. brent acted fast and hurried to the well, if the way was blocked then they would be in trouble. The stone falls right onto the roots of the tree.
"Help clear it"
Brent doesn’t need to shout since Klad and Ghaarsh are not stupid enough to wait around. They also know how dire the situation is. With limited space they couldn’t do much, Klad poked his stick into the stone that blocked his way. Using it as a lever to push it out.
The stone moved a bit but Klad knew that they were too late. The stone foundation has fallen on top of each other creating a pile of rubble on top of the roots. Ghaash tried to break through by biting the stone in wolf form but he got more stones falling on top of him.
"Shit..."
"What do we do now!?" Ghaarsh said with a worried voice. Their exit had been completely blocked by the stone well, or what was left of it. "I should have been more careful...."

"It’s not your fault, just help me move this rubble."
Brent starts moving the rubble by hand. Seeing his friend still having hope, Ghaarsh swallows his worries and uses the wolf form to move the rubble which is easier than Brent’s hand since the form is filled with mystic force. Making the rubble felt like cheese when you bit into it.
Klad also helps but tries his best to move the rubble, leaving only Brent to dig with his hands. His flame sword is not convenient for moving rubble, there is a chance that he imbues his sword and slashes at the rubble but accidentally slashes the cave instead.
That would spell doom for everyone here.
Bit by bit, the stone start to clear. Brent’s hands were now filled with dirt and grime but that didn’t matter to him. Getting out of here has become a priority.
"Brent dodge!"
Brent quickly reacts to Ghaarsh’s words, his sensory organ is better than the prince so there must be something. The rubble quickly burst open with so much force that it sent the remnant of stone everywhere.
"Hello there, is this where the potion is?"
A figure emerges from the rubble, his voice is playful but the content is not as light. Brent, Klad, and Ghaarsh get ready to battle.
It was Egul who emerged from the rubble.
