Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 331: Cardinal vs Emperor 1

As the sun cardinal evaded the night god slashed he felt fear for the amount of destruction it caused. Every hit was able to split the cave. Wiht a constant slashing the sword tore a whole from the cave to the outside world.

Through that, the cardinal manage to last through the battle without much difficulty. First of all, they were not going at it with all their full power. both testing each other power out. By this point, the emperor and Cardinal got an idea of what power they had.

The Cardinal’s guess was that the emperor had some kind of power that let him turn his subordinate into a weapon. He came to this conclusion after observing that the emperor not using more power than sending mystic slashes at him. However he could not be sure, the ancient pile of bone might have something up its sleeves. There’s no way of reaching this level of power by being dumb.

So after receiving another slash, the Cardinal decided to go on an offensive. He dashed right in front of the bone in black armor. His eyes look carefully around the armor to find where he could fit his fire in. Then right on the elbow, he found that the joint section of the armor was wide open.

Although the skeleton was possibly a trap, Sanchez had to take his chance. Not only did he feel the immense power of the skeleton, but he also felt that the skeleton was playing with him. This was his best chance to catch the skeleton off guard.

In that moment time seemed to stop when he arrived in front of the skeleton. His mind filled with the prayer for the sun god before it exploded and covered the whole place. Creating a share around the skeleton and covering the ruin.

A second later, the ceiling was cut in half, and the mystic energy traveled to the Cardinal at an alarming speed. However, before it could get anywhere near the Cardinal, the power disappeared.

The skeleton then appeared behind the cardinal with incredible speed. However, this was not out of cardinal calculation and he quickly summon a sword from his fire sword and slash behind himself. The two mystic powers crashed and pushed each other backward.

Contrary to the earlier information about mystic property, he knew about this one. Mainly because he spared with the pope a long time ago and lost badly because the people had more mystic power than him and could just override the domain he cast.

That’s why he was in a hurry to finish this fight but, now that the area was covered in black liquid he could only pray to the sun god that he survived this fight. The black substance washed over him as Sanchez summoned a fire to encircle him. However, the substance passed through like the fire wasn’t there. He used his hand to brace for impact but nothing ever came.

The cardinal over his eyes again to see that the black liquid was no longer there, it was replaced by a field of reed.

"This place looks rather nice"

The blue sky cast a warm glow of the sun on them. The air felt fresh and the cloud floated off in the distance. In front of him, Sanchez saw the same skeleton in the same black armor. It was a comment about looking nice in this place felt rather bizarre.

Sanchez didn’t fully trust the skeleton, however, what choice does he have? This domina was made with much more mystic power than his own and had higher quality mystic force. He couldn’t break out unless he killed the user.

"You’re gonna regret this"

The cardinal said, raising his sword. Its hilt had a crest made of a sun torch and its armor was shining like the light above his head. On the other side of the reed, the black armor felt like ti didn’t belong in this place, a pure black armor that absorbed almost all light. Ready to kill anyone that messes with it.

The skeleton also looked very eerie with its body all covered in that menacing armor and only it red light in the hollow eye socket was visible through the armor eyeshole.

The two of them ready their sword and looked at each other. Their eyes never left one another, waiting for the opportune moment to start the battle. The sound of reeds hitting against each other could be heard throughout the place as the wind blew over.

At that moment, The cardinal blinked and the fight started.
