When Perfikot arrived with her latest research, even though she was already prepared, she couldn't hold back her expression upon seeing the injured ancient beast.

No other reason, it was too ugly.

Perfikot now understood why the gods would name such a creature a beast; it indeed had no relation to intelligent life forms in appearance.

It looked like it had a primate vertebrate structure similar to that of a gorilla, with a pair of sturdy arms that, when straightened, could touch the ground. Its entire musculature appeared exceedingly powerful, with an inverted triangular upper body muscle group that would make bodybuilders from the original world before her time scream with excitement. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Its skin was covered in grayish-white long hair, resembling a close relative of the silverback gorilla.

However, its colossal size made Perfikot think it looked more like the fantasy giant beast King Kong from movies she had seen.

If there was anything different, it was the ugly, pig-like head that even made Perfikot unable to keep her composure.

A gorilla with a pig's head wasn't particularly ugly, after all, pigs aren't ugly enough to make Perfikot lose composure.

But the problem was, it wasn't really a pig's face, but a bizarre one that left people at a loss for how to describe it.

On the pig head, there was a nose with an outward-flared nostril, somewhat similar to a pig-faced bat. Yet, the jaw was pig-like, with two giant tusks protruding from the corners of the mouth, making it look quite ferocious.

But the strange part lay in the beast's upper face, which featured a clearly recognizable, even somewhat delicate human face.

Though Perfikot could see it was merely a pattern formed by the skin on the creature's forehead, it looked so much like a human face that it even made Perfikot feel it resembled hers a bit.

Once the eerie thought emerged, Perfikot immediately grew cautious, and in just a moment of distraction, the face in her eyes changed again to resemble the old butler.

"What's with that face?" Perfikot asked the God of Wisdom.

"It's a visual illusion. The pattern on that creature's forehead is a strange design, which indeed looks like a human face. The more carefully you look, the more familiar it seems to feel, but in reality, it's just a pattern without any mystical influence," the God of Wisdom explained simply, making Perfikot understand while also arousing her curiosity about how this creature evolved to grow such a face.

Aside from that somewhat odd face, the pig's head also had a pair of large ears standing upright, somewhat similar to a bat but also resembling a wolfhound, though their size almost matched its head, rather looking like the ears of a fennec fox.

And beneath the ears, there was a pair of twisted ram's horns.

"I have to say, if this face were made into a specimen, it would certainly be a highly eye-catching collection." Perfikot said, looking at the ancient beast's hideously individual head.

Upon hearing this, Shay hurriedly requested to battle, saying: "Count, please allow me to chop off its head and present it to you!"

"You? No, you can't. Don't be fooled by its missing arm; even a Legendary Knight wouldn't stand a chance," Perfikot shook her head, rejecting Shay's request, then turned to Beifa, who had already donned the Steam Armor, and said: "Beifa, you go, and be careful not to kill it with one hit."

No sooner had Perfikot finished speaking than Beifa bent her knees and jumped into the sky. Jets of powerful air erupted from the nozzles on her back and feet, and she rocketed toward the ancient beast like a meteor.

The ancient beast sensed Beifa's approach; its two large ears on top moved slightly, and then it raised its still-functioning claw to grab a huge rock from the ground and hurled it at Beifa.

The rock emitted a terrifying whistle, sounding much like a heavy catapult used for siege warfare in the past.

But this was much too straightforward an attack for Beifa; she simply adjusted her position slightly and dodged it with ease.

The rock smashed into a nearby hill with a loud crash, causing the accumulated snow on the surrounding mountains to collapse, triggering a small avalanche.

The location where Perfikot stood was quite safe, neither affected by the avalanche nor within the ancient beast's attack range.

However, the swirling snow mist before her greatly impaired her visibility, and the temperature in the fog was low enough that even with her multi-function goggles switching to infrared vision, she could not see what lay ahead.

Nevertheless, the roar from the ancient beast reached her ears clearly, allowing her to hear the pain and wails within its cries.

Evidently, this wounded ancient beast was no match for Beifa, who was at full power.

"I must admit, your creation rivals the gods themselves. Regular gods without divinity cannot be compared. Among the gods, aside from a few master smiths and creators, others might not be able to make such a creation," the God of Wisdom remarked, also sensing the sounds Perfikot heard.

As one of the gods, the God of Wisdom certainly understood the power of the ancient beast, and for Perfikot's creation to make it howl repeatedly meant it had reached the level of an ordinary subordinate god or higher.

Even though Perfikot used divine corpses to make Beifa and her armor, during the age of the gods, with better materials, gods failed to create anything at this level.

If it were otherwise, the gods' subordinates would not be diverse subordinate gods but uniform construct armies.

Even he, the former God of Wisdom, never produced a construct possessing divine combat power.

As for his successor? That guy couldn't be considered a true God of Wisdom, more like a shrewd businessman with some cunning.

This led to him fulfilling more the duties of a God of Commerce, even instilling the concept of equivalent exchange in alchemy.

Compared to Perfikot, that guy didn't even deserve the title of God of Wisdom.

"No, this is not a question of wisdom, but of insight and imagination. Intelligence often means solving problems, whereas imagination signifies the ability to create unprecedented things," Perfikot sensed the God of Wisdom's thoughts and disagreed with Him: "Although people can't imagine things they've never seen, projecting a new thing based on existing knowledge is the greatest creativity and most treasured wealth in humanity."
