Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 108: Why was he looking for that girl?
Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Why was he looking for that girl?
Both women stared at each other with equal ferocity in their eyes, leaving no doubt they were about to tear each other apart. The janitor quickly moved back, not wanting to get involved. The other colleagues did the same. Some even took out their phones and began recording. Well, welcome to the world of Gen Z.
"Are you saying I put it in your pocket myself? Ridiculous, Sanya. Ridiculous," Mi Liu said, her chest heaving with anger.
"Well, maybe you did to frame me. Who knows what dirty tricks a disgusting person like you can play to gain the boss’s trust and respect?" Sanya retorted meanly.
Mi Liu’s face turned sour. "I’ve known you for years, and it has never crossed my mind that you were not only a liar but a thief. A thief! How could you do this to me? Don’t you know what this ring means to me? This was my husband’s gift to me when we married," Mi Liu said dramatically, putting on a pitiful face. Her eyes watered and she sniffed.
She was a good actress—better than her, Sanya admitted silently. But she wasn’t going to let some bitch throw dirt on her for something she didn’t do.
By now, their boss, Mr. Bing, had come out of the kitchen and was watching them intently, yet he didn’t interfere. In fact, he looked smug and nonchalant.
The two women broke into an argument, but everyone took Mi Liu’s side. They believed her story and her not-so-convincing acting. Mi Liu’s face had tears slipping from her eyes, ruining her makeup. She looked so frail and weak that some of the male colleagues stood by her side and tried to comfort her.
"Go on. Keep up with your acting. You should have won Best Actress of the Year with this performance," Sanya remarked sarcastically, which made her seemed like the big bully here.
"How could you be so mean? Sanya, I even thought we could be best friends!" Mi Liu cried out before bursting into sobs.
"Sanya, what are you doing?" one of the male colleagues hissed at her. Sanya was taken aback.
"Best friend? You never once approached me, and you never once called me a friend. Stop with your pretense. You’re a liar. I didn’t steal your precious ring! Go check the CCTV cameras!" Sanya snapped, annoyed.
"We’ll check. And if it’s really you who took it, then you’re a thief and a liar," the colleague answered.
Sanya felt hurt—deeply hurt. She wasn’t a thief, for crying out loud! But no one believed her, and that was torture in disguise.
Mi Liu glared at her angrily before suddenly stepping forward and pushing Sanya on the shoulders with so much force that Sanya stumbled back, missed a step, and lost her balance.
Sanya waved her arms, trying to steady herself, but someone kicked her heels. She fell backward and shut her eyes, preparing for the painful drop.

Shentu Mingye drove his huge motorbike through Shen Chen District, another district in Shengjing. With his helmet on and his body leaned forward to reach the handles, he looked like a handsome hero straight out of a Tron movie.
He had finally gotten what he wanted from the can of sardines. That day, when that crazy woman smashed his can of sardines, the secret information hidden within was destroyed. In the end, he had to pay a large sum of money to get it back.
And not only that, he had to spend two days in jail! Shentu Mingye felt aggrieved. Who the hell was that woman!?
He complained to all his brothers and even Grandpa, but no one believed him. They all thought he was exaggerating.
Shentu Mingye entered a shop, the bell hanging above the door chimed. The shop assistant showed him to a backdoor that led to a secret room. Inside, he met with a man.
The man’s side profile was stunning and sharp. His hair was dyed sandy blonde and fell over his forehead. The man brought a cigarette up to his lips and took a slow, long drag.
Shentu Mingye sat opposite the man and pushed the can of sardines toward him.
"Mr. Park, is this what you were looking for?"
The man with the cigarette turned to look at the can on the table. He smiled and motioned for his people to step forward.
"As promised. Shentu Chu’s real birth mother and father," the man’s people handed him a flat rectangular box and a thumb drive.
"Thanks," Shentu Mingye said, taking the objects and heading to the door.
"Don’t you want to know why I asked for that can of sardines?" Park Jihwa called out.
Shentu Mingye froze. That can of sardines might seem ordinary, but it had many secrets attached to the inner walls of the can and underneath the label. It wasn’t easy to get.
"I don’t need to know," Shentu Mingye said coldly and left. Since it didn’t concern him, he shouldn’t bother, right?
When the can was smashed by that crazy woman, he accidentally saw part of its contents. Normal people wouldn’t understand it and would think it was just a normal can of sardines.
He saw what Park Jihwa was looking for. Why in the world was the Park family looking for that girl? It was scary to think about.
Shentu Mingye decided to stroll around to gather his thoughts. Would his second brother and big brother blame him for this? But wasn’t he also doing all of this for their good?
Shentu Mingye didn’t know what to think.
He heard some voices that interrupted his thoughts. He turned to the right and saw some people arguing.
There was something oddly familiar about one of the women in the shop. It took him a while to remember until he heard her voice. That voice... so familiar...
Isn’t that the crazy woman from that day?! Shentu Mingye realized.
She caused me so much suffering in jail. Now it’s my turn, hehehe.
