Fallen To The Ruthless Obssessive CEO-Chapter 482 - 416: What’s the Matter?
Sister Qin felt that the relationship between the two of them now was good enough, and Bao Ye didn’t treat Jiang Ruan like a kept woman in the circle, otherwise, a bit of money would suffice.
Why would he go to so much trouble, giving her resources and helping her solve countless difficulties?
Sister Qin had witnessed it a few times. Those involved are often confused, while onlookers see things clearly; the look in Bao Ye’s eyes when he looked at Jiang Ruan was definitely not innocent.
"Mm, not publicly."
Jiang Ruan’s voice came through, as calm as lake water. Sister Qin collected her thoughts and replied, "Alright."
Hanging up the phone, Jiang Ruan lay on the bed for a while longer; Bao Ye had left early in the morning.
The bedroom was very quiet. Jiang Ruan stared at the ceiling, her mind both clear and muddled, not knowing what she was thinking about.
Until a servant knocked on the door: "Miss Jiang, the dress and jewelry Mr. Bao ordered for you have arrived. Would you like to come down and take a look?"
Jiang Ruan’s eyes suddenly brightened, and without saying much, she got up. She was wearing silk pajamas, relaxed and at ease.
Her long, shiny black hair draped over her shoulders, her face without makeup was exceptionally charming. She walked to the door in slippers: "Then let’s take a look."
The servant followed her downstairs.
On the table downstairs were more than a dozen boxes.
They were filled with various exquisite jewelry and high-end dresses.
"Miss Jiang." The servants bowed respectfully.
Jiang Ruan was quite interested, but after a glance from beginning to end, the boxes contained nothing but red and blue gemstones.
Or diamond earrings and necklaces.
Not knowing what came to mind, the light in her pitch-black eyes suddenly went out, like a deflated balloon. She pressed her red lips and turned to the butler: "Take them all away."
The butler sensed something and cautiously asked: "Does Miss Jiang not like them? Should I tell Mr. Bao..."
"No." Jiang Ruan tugged at the corner of her red lips: "It’s not that I don’t like them; I like them very much."
As she spoke, Jiang Ruan lazily yawned: "I’m tired, I’ll go back upstairs to sleep."
Then she turned around and went upstairs.
Leaving the butler and servants all bewildered.
The servant was curious: "It’s really strange, Miss Jiang was so happy just now, how did she suddenly lose interest? These have always been things Miss Jiang likes."
The butler was also a bit confused: "Ah, the master’s thoughts are the hardest to guess."
As they were speaking, a phone rang in the butler’s pocket.
Seeing it was Bao Ye, the butler’s expression instantly became serious, and he answered the call.
A deep male voice sounded in his ear.
"Is she awake?"
Without needing to think, he knew ’she’ referred to Jiang Ruan.
"Awake, Mr. Bao," the butler reported truthfully.
"How is it, does she like the gifts?"
The question hinted that Bao Ye was in a good mood.
Having just finished a small meeting in the morning and returning to the office, Bao Ye wasn’t busy and thought of making a call.
The butler honestly responded: "Miss Jiang doesn’t seem very interested."
"Hm?" Bao Ye raised an eyebrow: "Who upset her?"
Last night everything was fine.
She was so cooperative with him.
Or was she too exhausted from his antics?
Thinking of this, a smile passed through Bao Ye’s eyes.
The butler added: "I don’t know, just now a servant went up and told her the gifts you ordered had arrived. The servant said Miss Jiang was especially happy and ran down to see them, but after looking at the gifts, she suddenly lost interest, didn’t even pick them up to look, just told us to put them away."
Hearing this, the smile in Bao Ye’s eyes disappeared.
He furrowed his brow, somewhat puzzled.
Those were always styles she liked.
Or had he given her too many?
Was she tired of them?
As he thought this, Chen Nan pushed the door open and came in, looking tense with a phone in his hand.
Obviously, there was something he needed to report to him.
Bao Ye withdrew his gaze, instructed the butler to prepare breakfast, cook some porridge, and to send it up when she was hungry.
Then he hung up the phone.
Placing the phone on the table, Bao Ye leaned back, looking steadily at Chen Nan: "What’s the matter?"
