Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence-Chapter 103 - 97: Maine Alliance Sets Out
"Everyone, Lord Thor is right; this is our opportunity, so I have decided to follow Lord Thor to the North for the cleanup."
As he looked at the silent crowd, Joz Anubi spoke up.
His words instantly drew everyone’s attention to him.
"Joz, you?"
Saki looked at Joz Anubi with a shock, hesitating to speak.
The three Barons, however, furrowed their brows slightly and remained silent.
"Saki, three Barons, this is our chance. The ferocity of the Kingdom War need not be elaborated; Baron Pape, as a member of the Lawrence Clan, you should know better than I do. If we cannot quickly enhance our territory’s strength in the next two years, the losses might be unbearable for us."
"This time is dangerous, but not so dangerous. The Kingdom’s Earth Dragon Knight Order and Marquis Reman’s Flying Eagle Knight Order are our backers. They are holding off the truly powerful Beastman Tribes. We only need to face Tier One, at most Tier Two Beastman Tribes. Our family might struggle to cope, but the strength of six territories combined is more than enough."
Looking at everyone, Joz Anubi’s gaze fell on Pape Lawrence, and his words rang out again.
His words caused a strange look to flash in the eyes of everyone present, and they couldn’t help but glance at Pape Lawrence.
"Whew!"
"I’m willing to participate as well. Everyone, Lord Joz is right; the scale of the Kingdom War is beyond imagination. We must seize this opportunity."
Their gazes converged. Pape Lawrence took a deep look at Joz Anubi, then nodded in agreement.
Just as Joz Anubi said, he understood the scale of the Kingdom War and its brutality.
Compared to that, the current risk paled in significance.
"Since both of you have said so, count me in too!"
Baron Gladon took a deep breath and nodded in agreement as well.
Finally, only Saki and Baron Valmy remained undecided.
The group’s focus shifted.
"I’ll join too!"
After a moment of hesitation, Saki also nodded.
"It seems I have no choice!"
Baron Valmy smiled wryly.
At this moment, four out of five had agreed; if he disagreed, he’d be isolated, wouldn’t he?
Besides, he wasn’t a fool. The words of Joz Anubi and Pape Lawrence made him acutely aware of the immense danger inherent in the Kingdom War.
"Since everyone has made their decision!"
"Then we can relay it to Lord Thor!"
Pape Lawrence nodded and spoke.
No one objected to this.
But just as they were about to move.
The door was knocked.
"Come in!"
Pape Lawrence frowned but still responded.
He knew that under such circumstances, his servant would not disturb him unless it was important.
The knock suggested something significant.
"Creak!"
The wooden door opened.
A servant walked in.
"Master, Lord Thor from Eagle Territory sent a letter."
The servant spoke respectfully.
"Lord Thor?"
Pape Lawrence was taken aback, and those around him were also curious.
Though curious, no one spoke out.
Pape Lawrence glanced around and, without a moment’s hesitation, opened the letter.
The others were quite curious.
Yet, after only a brief look, Pape Lawrence lifted his head in disbelief.
"This?"
The words escaped his lips, with an undeniable shock in Pape Lawrence’s heart.
"What happened?"
"Baron Pape, what’s going on?"
Baron Gladon couldn’t help but ask, and everyone’s eyes were drawn over.
"See for yourselves!"
"Your territories should have received it too."
Seeing the puzzled looks, Baron Pape hesitated slightly before passing the letter.
Valmy was the first to take it.
The reaction was nearly identical.
When the letter was passed to the other Lords, everyone could no longer maintain their composure.
"Gulp, Baron Pape, could Lord Thor’s words mean...!"
Baron Gladon felt parched, unable to resist asking. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Could it be that there’s a Level 3 Mage?"
Baron Valmy was more direct.
"Unknown!"
"Technically, the Dressrosa Family shouldn’t have the capability of possessing a Level 3 Mage."
Pape Lawrence shook his head, looking bewildered.
As another Count’s Clan, Pape Lawrence felt their family might seem too weak, or perhaps he was underestimated.
How could there be such a disparity?
"Let’s take a look, once we arrive, we should know!"
Joz Anubi’s eyes flickered, and he spoke directly.
"Yes, a look will tell us!"
"If true, we might really have a chance!"
Upon hearing his words, the others’ eyes lit up, and Baron Gladon couldn’t help but speak out.
Soon, the five set off.
Their target was Eagle Territory.
A day later.
The five arrived at Eagle Territory.
Upon arrival, their pupils contracted, and their expressions were filled with shock.
In their view, Eagle Territory was indeed home to many goblins.
Some goblins were even moving heavy objects.
