Fantasy Lord: Beginning with Daily Intelligence-Chapter 184 - 137: Gods, Empire, Kingdom (Part 2)
After a moment, a brand new sheepskin scroll was completed.
"Michael, convey this message using the flaming eagle."
Count Engel spoke as he handed over the freshly written scroll.
"Flaming eagle conveyance?"
"What is this?"
Hearing Count Engel’s words, Michael couldn’t help but be surprised.
"If nothing unexpected happens, there should be people from the Other God Church active in the Northern Province, trying to initiate another Divine Revelation."
Count Engel explained softly.
"What?"
Listening to Count Engel’s words, Michael’s expression changed.
"Sir, are you, are you serious?"
Seemingly aware of his loss of composure, Michael couldn’t help but cautiously ask again.
"There shouldn’t be any problem."
Count Engel nodded.
"This!"
Michael’s right hand trembled as a look of amazement appeared on his face.
"The kingdom has already received the news."
"Just convey this message; how they choose to respond is up to them."
Count Engel didn’t pay attention to Michael’s shock and added another sentence.
"Yes!"
Finally realizing the situation, Michael quickly nodded in agreement.
Soon after, his figure quickly left.
Count Engel then looked outside the window again.
The blood moon tonight seemed colder.
Count Engel’s thoughts involuntarily drifted away.
On the other side.
Thor returned to his room after leaving the study.
His heart carried a mixture of anxiety.
Even though he had made up his mind, this matter was indeed far too significant.
As if just stepping out of the novice village only to encounter the ultimate boss, recalling the descriptions of "Divine Revelation" in the books in his mind.
To say he didn’t care at all would be utterly false.
If it weren’t for the daily intel system, proving its strength time and again over the past two years, Thor would have directly followed his father’s instructions.
After all, compared to territory and the future, one’s own life is indeed the most important.
Not to mention, his father even provided him with atonement gold.
Sufficient to secure his noble title.
The territory can just be developed later.
It’s not like there won’t be opportunities.
"I hope my choice isn’t wrong!"
Thor uttered softly, his gaze moved towards the blood moon in the sky.
"Master!"
"The water is ready!"
Anna’s gentle voice echoed, a soft green light spread throughout the room, slightly calming his anxious heart.
The night deepened gradually.
Tonight seemed destined to be long.
The entire Tulip Kingdom was thoroughly alarmed.
The Royal Capital.
In a certain palace.
One figure after another gathered.
These were the most elite in the kingdom.
Even the Tulip King of the Royal Capital was present.
"Arist, are you really sure this is Divine Revelation?"
A deep voice spoke; a middle-aged man in golden armor looked towards an elder in the center.
"Arist, this is nothing to joke about."
"Yes, Arist."
Voices rang out, all eyes focused on the elderly man.
"Your Majesty, everyone, this is indeed the Divine Revelation Ceremony."
"At this moment, it has likely spread over most of the Northern Province. With its current scale, the Divine Revelation Ceremony will be fully initiated in three months at most."
The elder named Arist spoke seriously.
"This!"
Hearing his confirmation, the converging gazes instantly took on a heavy tone.
For a while, silence fell over the hall.
Until a moment later.
A powerful voice rang from the throne.
"Alright, noted!"
"Thank you for your hard work, sir."
"Asplos, take the gentleman back to rest."
With his words, very soon a knight led the elder named Arist away.
In the empty hall.
With the elder’s departure, no one spoke.
Each was left with their gravity.
"According to the Alliance of the Gods, the kingdom must prevent the arrival of the Divine Revelation. Eight hundred years ago, the Tulip King’s Royal Family failed to prevent the Divine Descent, nearly destroying half the kingdom, leading to the royal family’s dismissal by the Empire."
"Decades ago, the Liepuer Clan’s negligence in the Nanyue Province nearly led to another Divine Descent. Though ultimately prevented, the southern part of the Nanyue Province remains scorched earth today. None of you want a similar event in the North, do you?"
Seated high above, the Tulip King of the Kingdom spoke again in a deep voice.
And upon hearing this, the entire hall grew even quieter.
In the quietness.
An abrupt, robust voice echoed.
"Your Majesty, I will personally visit the Beastman Tribe."
In the hall, an older man appeared silently.
"Not enough!"
The sudden appearance and robust voice did not alter the demeanor of His Majesty the King seated high, as his calm voice rang again.
"Then count me in as well!"
A soft sigh rang out, followed by the appearance of another elderly man.
Two men appeared.
In the hall, golden-armored knights slightly bent their postures.
"Not enough!"
His Majesty’s voice remained unchanged.
"Your Majesty, I have few years left."
A soft sigh sounded, as yet another elderly figure appeared, hunched and with deeply wrinkled skin, exuding an aura of decay.
Three men exchanged glances, somewhat helpless.
"Anwar, Sabahe!"
Yet His Majesty ignored them, his voice echoing again.
With his words, two figures emerged once more in the hall.
This time it was an old man and an old woman.
"You accompany them."
"Within three months, I need to see the head of whoever initiated the Divine Revelation."
His Majesty’s voice echoed again.
And seeing these two appear suddenly, coupled with His Majesty’s words, the originally helpless trio heaved a sigh of relief.
Otherwise, with just the three of them, they still felt a bit uneasy inside.
Divine Revelation.
Even if not fully initiated, is still no easy task.
"Yes!"
"Your Majesty!"
After a sigh of relief, they bowed.
Then, the five of them disappeared from the hall.
"Eight hundred years!"
On the throne, the man spoke softly, his thoughts somewhat scattered.
His heart grew heavier. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
As the Tulip King, he well understood the terror of the gods.
The succession of royal families was almost always due to the gods.
This time they might be able to stop it, but what about the next?
Not every time is so fortunate, nor is every entity initiating the Divine Revelation so foolish.
Even a single occurrence could be disastrous for the entire Tulip Kingdom.
More so for their family.
After all, the purpose of the royal family is to prevent the gods’ return. If they fail, the Empire won’t hesitate to replace the royal family with another.
It’s certain that families earning merit on the battlefield would gladly take over, as theirs once did.
