Fantasy Realm – Infinite Worlds Adventure-Chapter 498: Angry Chicken
Alex, slightly panicked, stares at Jewel, who’s desperately clinging to the railing of the small boat—clearly excited, not scared in the slightest.
“Careful... even if you’ve got a bite, if something big bites, you won’t pull it up—it’ll pull you dow—”
Before he can finish his sentence, the entire boat is pulled forward, the side with Jewel partly underwater, the little spider about to be dragged into the depths of the ocean.
Fuck!
Seeing Jewel struggle, he immediately grabs her with all his strength and pulls her back, along with the web she’s using as a makeshift fishing line.
“Fuck, so heavy!” Alex curses, bracing his legs against the side railing as the entire boat begins to get dragged along with whatever is on the other end.
He can feel the pressure rising in his legs, the tension pushing through his body. Then he hears it—the wood creaking beneath him. The railing groans loudly, cracking under the strain.
“Help!! Jewel, you need to fucking let go! We can’t pull it up! Whatever’s biting isn’t letting go!” Alex shouts, panicked, scanning the deck for help—only to see Benezia and Tereza calmly watching him.
Are you fucking watching a damn comedy routine? Do something!
No! Princess Jewel won’t give up her biggest catch yet!
“The fuck?! Let the hell go! I don’t want to drown or get eaten—let it fucking go!” Alex yells, even more desperate now, practically exploding with stress.
Fine! But Princess Jewel will not give up on her prey! Soulmate, hold on for a little while longer.
“What are you doing?!” Alex growls, his veins on his forehead bulging in frustration as he desperately holds on.
Still latched to the line, Jewel pulls three Annihilation Grenades and a few dead fish from her inventory. With quick, practiced movements, she lights the grenades, stuffs them into the fish, then wraps them all together using her web. After that, she cuts the net connecting them to their target, with only the fish being dragged underground.
The moment the thread is cut, Alex is thrown backward, crashing onto the deck—still clutching Jewel in his arms.

“Ouch...” Alex groans. “My back... my ba—No, no time for that! Jewel, what just happened?! You put grenades in the fish, that’s just like what we did on Little Gard—”
Boom Boom Boom
Alex hears three dull thuds, muffled by the water beneath them.
“Either it’s far away... or it swallowed them,” Alex mutters, gulping hard.
“The latter,” Benezia says flatly. “I can still feel it close by underwater. The vibrations give it away.”
“It’s angry,” Tereza notes, her eyes narrowing. “I smell blood in the water. It’s bleeding. Fast—get on my back!”
Tereza drops to the deck, transforming into her full bat form. Alex, Benezia, and Jewel all leap onto her back, gripping her thick fur tightly as she lifts off into the sky with a massive push of her wings.
Just as they ascend, a colossal Sea King bursts from the water—completely swallowing the boat in one bite.
It’s enormous, shaped like an eel but feathered like a bird. A massive beak, snowy white feathers, and a red comb on its head—like some monstrous hybrid between a sea serpent and a chicken.
What the?!

Chicken, my ass—it’s a fucking colossal monster that can eat ships in one bite! It’s fucking huge, this is insane! It’s larger than most other Sea Kings!
“That was a close call... let’s bail...” Alex finally mutters, his eyes wide as he stares at the beast. “It looks so easy in the damn anime—like just punching it away—but how the hell are you supposed to fight against that thing?! This one is smart and attacks from underwater and does not simply peek outside, greets us, and holds its head close by, being ready to be punched.”
“I have to agree,” Benezia says, calmly observing from above. “This is indeed a daunting task. We should retreat.”
No! Princess Jewel does not want to give up! Attack, Tereza! Dive downwards—Princess Jewel will defeat it!
“S—should I listen to her?” Tereza asks, confused.
“If the little one has a plan, go for it,” Benezia replies, her tone calm but her eyes betraying a hint of concern. “Just leave an escape route open. I don’t want my treasured last journey to end so soon after starting it.”
Tereza dives down toward the beast, the Sea King locking onto her with its enormous, eerie gaze. It lunges, trying to snap at her with its monstrous beak—but despite the overwhelming size difference, Tereza dances through the air, agile and sharp, evading the attack with precise, fluid motions.
“Eat fucking arrows!” Alex roars, drawing his [Magoroth’s Legacy R2]. He conjures a Magorian’s Rage Arrow, activates Ren, and channels his aura entirely using Ko, before finally adding Thundara Arrow to the attack. With the full amount of Rage Illusions he lets loose—unleashing a storm of exactly 31 thunder-charged arrows.
A stream of notifications floods his view. He glances at a few before brushing the rest aside.

Even with its wet body, feathery surface, and natural weakness to Thunder magic, the Sea King’s monstrous defenses and thick hide-like skin absorb a hefty portion of the damage. Still, thanks to its sheer size, not a single arrow misses, every strike landing and ripping into the beast’s hide, shocking it and causing bleeding all over.
Now fully enraged, the Sea King coils itself tighter, stretching to its limit again—its wide, gaping maw snapping toward Tereza, who’s close to the surface.
Jewel, perched on Alex’s head and laser-focused on her target, jumps off, creating a long string of web, and lowers herself down. She lights up the remaining Annihilation Grenades, along with a mysterious crystalized stone, latches them onto her web, and expertly dangles them beneath Tereza. She waits patiently—until the Sea King’s open mouth swallows them whole.
She threw the fucking last Dyna stone inside its mouth?!

Once the Grenades and the [Tiny Dyna Stone (Inferior)] are inside its mouth, Jewel slices the connecting thread clean and climbs back onto Tereza and jumps back onto Alex’s head, bouncing with joy.

“Don’t celebrate too fuckin’ early! Dodge, Tereza!” Alex shouts, breath catching in his throat.
Tereza beats her wings furiously, struggling for altitude as the Sea King begins to rise beneath them, preparing to engulf the entire party in one final bite.
Desperate, Alex lets loose another barrage of 31 Thundara Arrows, ignoring all the flashing damage prompts. At the same time, Benezia channels her energy and unleashes Warp, while Jewel casts Hidden Power, both launching deadly projectiles into the beast’s face.
The Sea King shudders, its advance halting. Its throat glows faintly from the swallowed grenades... and then—
BOOM
A giant explosion rocks its skull from the inside. A violent burst of flame and smoke erupts from its mouth, shooting into the sky. It lets out a final gurgling screech before crashing onto the ocean’s surface with a deafening splash, floating there motionless.
“Dive, Tereza!” Alex shouts, already gripping his [Executioner’s Blade R2].
Without hesitation, Tereza swoops downward. As they approach, Alex leaps off her back mid-flight, landing on the still-warm corpse of the Sea King. He dashes toward its head, jumps into the air, and with all his aura focused onto the blade, he plunges it deep into the monster’s skull.
