Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor-Chapter 524 - 269: Bloody Night (Part 3)
Garrick instinctively raised his sword, the tip aimed directly at the approaching figure,
"Stop! Who are you?"
"Calm down, Knight Garrick."
The shadow’s voice was clear and pleasant, yet remained calm and steady,
"I come to deliver Lord Earl of the Red Griffin’s command."
"The Earl’s command?"
Garrick’s sword tip still pointed at the shadow, but his eyes were filled with confusion,
"Isn’t the Earl supposed to be resting? What command needs to be delivered at such a time?"
The shadow ignored Garrick’s remarks, slowly retrieving a badge from their chest
— it was the golden griffin badge given to Vika by Lord Earl.
"This is the golden badge symbolizing the highest authority of the Red Griffin Family."
The shadow held the badge up to Garrick,
"Now, follow Lord Earl’s command."
Garrick looked at the badge, his pupils instantly constricted.
As a knight serving the Red Griffin Family for sixteen years, Garrick had seen this badge before,
but he maintained his vigilance,
"Reveal your identity."
The shadow did not answer directly, reaching up to unfasten the mask on her face, revealing a delicate and familiar face to Garrick.
"Miss Avril!"
Garrick immediately performed a standard knight’s salute to the figure before him.
The shadow smiled slightly, asking:
"Are you convinced now?"
Garrick solemnly nodded, "Please command me!"
"Very well."
The shadow nodded with satisfaction,
"I now convey Lord Earl’s urgent command, Susanna’s noble honor has collapsed, betraying marital vows, losing loyalty, and attempting to murder Lord Earl, taking over the earldom of the Red Griffin Family."
"Such grave crimes are unforgivable!"
"Indeed!"
Garrick was full of indignation, his hand trembling on his sword,
"That woman... I always felt something was off about her!"
"Lord Earl knows well that you are the most loyal knight of the family, yet you have always been abused and oppressed by Susanna and her minions!"
"Now Lord Earl commands you to lead your trusted men to swiftly eliminate Susanna’s minions and take over all the castle’s defenses."
The shadow immediately threw a scroll to Garrick, "On it are the Earl’s orders and seals, arrest everyone listed without resistance, and execute if necessary!"
"Furthermore, any guards or knights who refuse to obey your command are to be treated as traitors to the family!"
"Yes, Miss Avril!"
Garrick’s eyes widened, his blood boiling!
Over the years, he had indeed been constantly suppressed and cold-shouldered by Susanna!
Despite being an old servant of the family, he was regarded as a thorn in her side by that woman!
Many responsibilities and honors that should have belonged to him were given to many newcomers!
"Rest assured, none of the traitors will escape!"
Garrick solemnly saluted the shadow, then, holding the scroll and his sword, rushed out of the tower!
The shadow inside the tower let out a sigh of relief,
"It seems that even if I don’t act, others will treat me as a sister."
The shadow’s lips curled slightly, "It’s time to find Baron."
...
...
Main building of Griffin Castle, inside the study.
Susanna, dressed in a deep red silk gown, lazily leaned back in the chair.
The neckline was low, revealing a large expanse of snowy white skin, filled with tempting allure.
Yet at this moment, her alluring and charming face was full of worry.
"Kotaron hasn’t appeared for five days."
Susanna’s voice carried a trace of allure, forcing Sam standing in front of her to constantly restrain his desires.
"Do you know what he’s been doing?"
"Madam, recently we’ve been short-handed too..."
Sam wiped the sweat from his forehead, "Seven spies couldn’t be contacted, I had to reassign others, so I haven’t been monitoring Lord Kotaron."
"Fool! Such a big issue and you didn’t report?"
Susanna immediately sat up straight, her chest revealing more snowy white, causing Sam to be completely distracted.
"Many of our spies are like underground rats, occasionally losing track is normal..."
Sam carefully explained, "But this time more than a few are missing, I’ve already started investigating."
"The important thing is that Winster has disappeared for over a month too."
Mentioning that name, Susanna frowned.
Winster was Susanna’s favorite plaything, both obedient and handsome and young.
Originally, Susanna thought Winston had gone elsewhere to mingle with noble ladies, but now it sounded clearly off.
"Madam, could it be..."
Sam wanted to say something, but Susanna waved her hand to cut him off.
"Someone is targeting us."
Susanna’s pupils contracted as she realized the severity of the problem.
A few disappearances might be a coincidence, but so many people disappearing in succession was definitely not accidental.
Susanna’s voice turned cold, her gaze sharp,
"Moreover, the other side might have already obtained our personnel list."
Saying so, Susanna immediately sat up straight, picked up a pen, dipped it in ink, and began to quickly write on the parchment.
"Activate all the covert posts at once, investigate their whereabouts meticulously, and don’t overlook any suspicious clues."
"Also, have everyone increase their vigilance, we must prepare for the worst!"
Susanna pushed the written parchment in front of Sam,
"Deliver this to Bolton and Phileret, order them to muster the army to Griffin City, prepare for war!"
Sam was visibly stunned, but upon seeing Susanna’s sharp gaze, he immediately responded respectfully,
"Yes, Madam!"
He then grabbed a small handful of powder and sprinkled it over the ink, absorbing the moisture within.
Then he shook off the powder, rolled up the parchment, and stored it away.
"I will go convey your orders now."
Just as Sam was about to leave, urgent footsteps suddenly sounded outside the door.
Knock knock knock!
The urgent knocking resounded
The panicked voice of a Guard sounded,
"Madam! Something terrible has happened!"
Susanna and Sam exchanged glances, and Sam immediately put on his mask.
"Come in!"
At Susanna’s command, the Guard immediately pushed open the door and reported in a trembling voice:
"It’s chaos outside! Knight Garick is arresting people everywhere!"
"Hmm?"
Susanna was a bit surprised, then realized,
Has it already begun?
Susanna let out a cold laugh and asked disdainfully:
"He’s just a mere knight, on what grounds does he arrest people on his own? What’s he trying to do?"
The Guard panted heavily, trying hard to organize his words,
"He said... he said it was by Lord Earl’s order!"
"He also claims that you’ve betrayed the family and must be purged along with all your henchmen!"
"The Earl’s order?"
Upon hearing of her alleged crime, Susanna did not rush; instead, her smile grew more bewitching and intense.
So the old goat knows everything, but does he really think he can control all of this?
Or is he just relying on a senior knight to deal with me?
Could the old goat be so foolish?
Susanna furrowed her brows, pondering deeply.
No, things shouldn’t be that simple.
"Garick is spouting nonsense; his current actions are a betrayal of the Red Griffin Family!"
"Those with him are all rebels!"
Susanna’s face turned cold, and she commanded the Guard righteously:
"Immediately gather our people and strike back; whoever kills that rebel Garick will be rewarded with a hundred Gold Coins!"
"For every other rebel’s head, five Gold Coins each!"
"Yes, Madam!"
The Guard responded loudly and turned to run out!
Susanna then softly ordered Sam:
"Exit through the secret passage and notify those little ones outside to prepare."
"Yes, Madam!"
Sam nodded vigorously, then bolted toward the window and jumped straight out!
Simultaneously, a pair of tattered wings emerged from Sam’s back, and he glided directly outside the castle.
Susanna stood up, walked unhurriedly to the cabinet, and after opening the door, she swept away all the books inside, revealing a wooden board engraved with strange patterns.
Susanna skillfully traced her fingers in the air, muttering under her breath.
With a slight pop, the wooden board opened from the middle to both sides, revealing a dark compartment filled with black mist.
Inside were three glass bottles containing a pink liquid, and a black and red nine-tailed whip. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The whip had the texture of some kind of animal hide, and its handle was studded with spiked metal rings, covered in barbs, with hooks tied at the ends.
It exuded a wild aura.
Susanna took out the whip, brought it to her lips, and licked it with her scarlet tongue, her face splitting into a ferocious yet bewitching smile,
"You will soon know who the real master of this castle is!"
