"I have an idea," I said, and they all turned to me.

"They want Heather and me, right? How about we give them both? Only me," I said.

And my sister spoke.

"What do you mean, Aurora?"

"What I’m trying to say is that the demons won’t stop until they finally have me. Let them give me. Let them have me," I said. "But this time, I won’t be a victim. But instead, I’ll be the prey."

"Are you out of your mind? Victim or prey? You’re talking about demons. And you’re willing to go give yourself up to them just like that? Do you know how long it took us to find you finally? Just because of these same demons. And you are here, ready to give— and you are here, talking about some nonsense about giving yourself up all over again. No."

"I’m not just going to go there. I’m Aurora. I’m going as Eric. I’ll go back to the forest where they had lost me that day. And then I’ll pretend as if I wiped my memory and stuff. That way, their guard around me will lessen. And they’ll be trusting me more to say careless stuff all around me.

"And by then, I would have connected myself to you. And every other person who can cast spells here. So you’ll be able to listen to careless information that they drop around me. And you’ll be able to find me.

"You guys will fight them from the outside and I will fight them from the inside. That will be the only way we can stop these demons," I said.

And Kayden thought, "This is a very good idea. But it includes us taking a huge risk."

"Exactly," he said. "Exactly. Risk is the only thing you can take now. Just as they planned. A risky plan," I said.

And my sister shook her head.

"No. If you think that I am going to let you go back there again, then you are very mistaken," she said.

And then I shook my head.

"I’m not just going to go back there, sister. I want to go fight them. It’s either I fight them alone or I fight them with you guys. And the best idea is to fight them with you guys."

"I’m sorry, Aurora, but that’s a very bad idea," Leon said.

And I turned to him.

"What? Even you, Leon?"

"Yes, even me. I know what those demons are capable of. They can figure out that you have your memories and your power in a minute. And then they will get you married and do horrible stuff to you. I cannot bring myself to allow that," he said.

And then I sighed.

"So fine. What are you planning to do? To keep fighting these demons? These demons have incredible powers. Stronger than the strongest creatures ever. And we can’t just fight them ordinarily. We need to fight them from both sides. From inside and outside. And I am willing to fight them from inside," I said.

And Leon shook his head.

"No."

He was about to say another thing when Kovu jumped right inside. He came back in the form of a cat, but his leg was broken and blood was dripping from his nose.

"Kovu!"

My eyes widened as my heart was beating fast in my chest. I hesitated for a few minutes to see my poor boy bleeding from both sides. My heart was torn.

"No, no, no, no. Please no."

"What happened to it?" I turned to Lilith.

"It has been injured. It should have disappeared, but it came back because it wanted to say its message."

"What?"

And then it dropped something in my hand, which was a piece of clothing. And then it turned into a dark smoke that slowly disappeared. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

My eyes widened as I tried to fathom my head around Kovu being gone.

And Leon collected the piece of clothing from me.

"Why will he bring this?"

And then somebody immediately yelled—

"Demons! Demons! Somebody help! Demons are in the building!" one of the wolves yelled.

And then one of them barged inside our house where we were having our meeting.

"Alpha! Alpha! We saw demons! White hair! They are coming! They are attacking!"

"What? What?"

Caspian immediately turned to Hazel.

"Hazel, get Heather and Aurora away from here now!"

And then Caden shook his head.

"No. I’ll take Heather. You get Aurora out of here."

Hazel immediately picked up my hands, and we dashed out of the hallway. We ran from one hallway to another, when I suddenly saw Rebecca standing right in front of us, swinging a wolf’s head in her hands, and she threw it away.

"Hello there, Aurora. Our long-lost runaway bride. It’s my pleasure seeing you again. Hell, I’m healthy," she said, smiling, while my mouth hung open, shocked.

No way.

Hazel stood right in front of me, protecting me.

"Is this the Hazel that I’ve heard a lot about? The natural born Crescent?" she said.

And Hazel stood right in front of me.

"You can try me. I’ll show you why they gave me such a beautiful title."

"Oh please, are you trying to make me scared, Alpha?" she said.

And Enzo just held my hand tight, making me stand behind her.

"I’m not here to fight you, Alpha. I just want our little bride behind you. Our runaway bride will be severely punished," she said.

And then Hazel shook her head. "No. I’ve told you, you have to go through me first."

"Fine."

Rebecca was ready to charge, but something hit her at the back of her head, and she fell to the ground.

"No one threatens my daughter like that, you bloody demon."

Turns out it was Lilith. Lilith kicked her head, and Enzo raised her hand.

"Enough, Mom. She has passed out. Now we need to go hide Aurora, far away from this place," she said.

And then I shook my head. "No. I’ve told you already. They want me. Let’s give them to them. You don’t understand? The only way they can stop all of this nonsense is if they finally have me. Let’s give them me," I said.

And Lilith and Hazel gazed at each other.

"You don’t understand?"

"I very much do understand. I will connect myself to my sister and you. Through that, I will be able to get information out of them by acting clueless, as if I’ve lost my memories. I need you guys to be able to attack them. From the information they’ve gotten, they will be talking carelessly around me, because they will think I am no longer the Aurora... but just some clueless witch. And they want to use my body as a baby-making factory," I said.

And they denied it.

"So what’s the plan?"

"There’s no plan. We are just acting. I need to go now before Leon figures out anything," I said.

And they gazed at each other.

"You want to go without informing anyone?"

"I’ve already told them this plan. They know I’d be. The only thing we can do now is to go first and do it behind their backs. Lead me. Lead me. I’m going to be— lead me back. Lead me out of New Orleans. I will go to the forest that I ran to when I ran away from the wedding. Their lie will be much sweeter because they will just believe I have none left. I have none left ever since I ran away from the wedding," I said.

And they looked aside.

"So where exactly is this forest?"

"I don’t know. But it is near. It is kind of— I don’t know. The demons’ location is hidden, even I me don’t know. I just know that it is near California. That was all I know. Just drop me to a random forest around California. That way, they will find me easily."

And then Lilith held my hand.

"Will this be teleportation?"

"Very much so. I know that."

And then Hazel immediately spoke before we disappeared.

"Please. Protect yourself, Aurora," she said.

And then I nodded. "I will."

"Aurora... and don’t forget to come back alive. If not, I will kill you," Hazel threatened in her usual manner.

And I smiled. "If I die, even I will kill myself," I said.

And we both chuckled.

You see, I almost dropped my eyes. But if I could see it drop...

"Versa!".

Lilith said as she held my hands but someone suddenly called out to me..

"Aurora!" I turned to see it was Leon.. Lilith hold on me tightened and I immediately removed my hands from hers..

"Leon.." I rushed to him and buried my head on his chest and let out every emotion in my chest.

"Don’t go..." he said his voice trembling and I just shook my head.

"I have to, it’s a must." I whispered..

"Aurora, my magic don’t have much time left."
