Chapter 621: Chapter 621: The Mysterious Stranger

The Kane family villa.

The matriarch, upon learning of what happened at the mall, was furious: "It’s too much. The Kane family has been generous to Paige Pierce, her share of the Price family assets is worth billions. How could she be so ungrateful and do such a vicious thing?"

Timmy and Ian are the blood of the Kane family, the future heirs, and treasures in her hands.

The matriarch was beside herself with anger, feeling she must have been blind to allow Paige Pierce to marry into the Kane family.

"Grandma, don’t be upset. She’s already received her comeuppance. You shouldn’t risk your health being angry over her," Ivana Monroe said, worried that the matriarch might fall ill from anger.

"Madam, have a glass of milk to calm yourself. My brother and I are protected by guardian stars, nobody can harm us."

Timmy Monroe handed a glass of milk to the matriarch, his voice tender yet reassuring.

The matriarch took the milk, a kind smile spreading across her face: "Little Timmy is right, you and little Ian are the most precious gifts from heaven to our Kane family."

After drinking the milk.

The matriarch put down the cup and turned to Serena Norton, who was seated beside Owen Kane: "You must have been frightened today as well. I’ve already instructed the kitchen to prepare some ginseng soup. Drink more tonight."

She already knew about the incident on the road. Seeing Serena Norton now, who even risked her life to protect little Timmy, the matriarch felt an overwhelming guilt. If only she had listened to Owen back then and accepted the person he loved, how much better it would have been?

If Paige Pierce’s actions today had harmed the two little ones, she could never forgive herself even in death.

Owen Kane looked at the matriarch with surprise: "Mom... thank you... thank you."

He had waited for this day for so long, so long that he lost hope, thinking the matriarch would never accept Serena Norton in this lifetime.

Owen Kane shed tears of joy, silently thanking Ivana Monroe.

If it weren’t for Ivana, his mother wouldn’t have accepted Serena so soon.

When dinner time arrived.

Owen Kane first served a bowl of ginseng soup to the matriarch, another bowl to Serena Norton, and finally to Timmy and Ian.

As Timmy was about to drink, Serena Norton swiftly snatched it away.

"Serena, you..."

"He’s young... can’t drink it."

Serena shook her head at Owen Kane, pouring the ginseng soup into her own bowl.

Owen Kane paused, seeing Serena take Ian’s ginseng soup too, he rubbed his eyes, afraid he might be mistaken.

No mistake.

Owen Kane exclaimed with excitement: "Serena, what did you just say? Say it again."

Serena pointed to the ginseng soup in her hand, shaking her head, "They’re only six years old, they can’t drink ginseng soup. Too much of it will cause nosebleeds."

This time Owen didn’t mishear, he said excitedly: "Serena, are you better now? Your illness is gone."

Serena looked at Owen Kane puzzled: "What illness?"

Owen Kane took the ginseng soup from Serena’s hand, his fingers trembling as he held her hand, his eyes slightly red: "It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand, we’re in no rush. Your current progress is a surprise, I’m so happy."

In just a short time since returning, Serena had accepted Timmy, even risking her life to protect the children. Now she shows concern for Timmy and Ian, not letting them drink ginseng soup; the improvement was truly unexpected.

Back when they were abroad, Serena saw no one other than the doll she held and expressed no emotions, as if she lived in her own world.

Now, she’s finally stepping out from her world little by little.

Owen Kane suddenly realized she hadn’t held that doll since coming back, nor did she bring it to dinner.

It seemed... Timmy had replaced that doll.

Wonderful.

He eagerly anticipated Serena’s recovery and her reunion with Leon Keane and their son.

Ivana Monroe and Leon Keane exchanged a knowing smile.

Leon brought a bowl of ginseng soup to Ivana, whispering softly in her ear: "Honey, this is all thanks to you."

Ivana blushed, lightly shoving Leon. With the elders present, how could Leon be whispering sweet nothings to her?

Later in the evening.

Ivana received a mysterious email, the content of which left her stunned.

How could this be?

How could she be the granddaughter of the two elderly people who owned the foreign estate of the matriarch?

Attached to the email was a photo of her as a child, undeniably her childhood photo. Yet, she had no recollection of wearing the clothes in the picture or having her hair styled that way.

Ivana’s fingers typed on the keyboard: "Could you be mistaken?"

The other party immediately responded: "No mistake. If you still don’t believe it, then send in your hair, and we’ll do a DNA test at the hospital."

Ivana frowned; was the other party that confident?

Ivana typed again: "Who exactly are you?"

This mysterious person reminded her of the person who helped her release videos to the media when she and Mrs. Kane were in trouble.

He refused to take money, always appearing whenever she faced difficulties. Who could he be?

Ivana had suspected Leon Keane and Ian before, as they were also skilled hackers.

However, Leon was in the bathroom showering; it was impossible for him to send her an email at this moment.

She had also asked Ian, who said he wanted to help Ivana during the incident, but someone beat him to it. When he tried to investigate, the person had deactivated their account, leaving no trace.

"You really want to know who I am? Then let’s meet at 9 o’clock tomorrow at the hospital entrance?" the other party teased.

"Alright." Ivana typed: "Which hospital? I’ll be there on time."

The other party didn’t respond immediately, as if falling into silence. After a while, the information came.

"Upon reflection, it seems keeping some mystery is better. Why not send a courier with a strand of hair to the hospital entrance by 9 o’clock? I’ll have someone pick it up."

"What? Afraid to meet me? Is it because we might know each other?" Ivana felt increasingly certain this mysterious person was someone she knew.

"Haha... maybe!" the other party cleverly responded with a vague statement.

Ivana was speechless. Her fingers hovered over the keys as she thought of someone else to ask.

Then the message came through: "Your husband finished his shower and will soon be coming out. You’d better turn off the computer! If he mistakes me for some secret lover you have, you’ll be in trouble."

Ivana’s mouth twitched as her eyes landed on the computer’s camera, deep in thought. Had he hacked into her computer? Is that how he knew Leon was showering?

The sound of running water came from the bathroom; now it had stopped, suggesting he discerned Leon was showering from that.

"Your eyes are so beautiful, don’t look at me like that, or I’ll find it hard not to dream of you..."

The message arrived, and Ivana blushed deeply, slamming the laptop shut. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

This guy was truly shameless.

Leon Keane came out with a white towel wrapped around him, his damp hair tousled, his athletic build evident, those deep, fascinating dark eyes fixed on her.

"Honey, why is your face so red?"
