Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart-Chapter 627: Make Her Drink Them All
Ye... Mr. Ye?
Chantel’s mind went blank, her face turning pale. Could that little brat Nicole have told Mr. Ye about last night’s events?
No time for further thought, Chantel was dragged in front of Howard Yeats.
The man in the black suit tossed Chantel onto the floor.
Chantel crawled to Howard Yeats’s feet, her eyes filled with panic as she pitifully said, "Mr. Ye, what did I do wrong? Why are you doing this to me?"
Howard Yeats ruthlessly kicked her in the chest, knocking her flat on her back, making it almost impossible for her to breathe from the pain.
"What did you say in front of Nicole?"
Howard Yeats looked down at Chantel curled up on the ground, his voice as cold as ice.
"I... I didn’t... say anything..."
In those few words, Chantel felt a searing pain in her chest, and tears sprang from the corners of her eyes, her face contorted in agony.
"Nothing?"
Howard Yeats’s voice dripped with danger as his dark eyes flicked to her abdomen. "Since you can’t remember, I’ll have someone cut open your belly to help jog your memory about what you said last night."
Chantel trembled all over, pleading in terror, "No, please! Mr. Ye, I..."
"Someone, come here!"
Howard Yeats shouted impatiently, not interested in hearing Chantel’s fabrications.
"Yes, Mr. Ye."
The man in the black suit pulled out a dagger. When unsheathed, it gleamed coldly, the sharp tip seemingly stained with the blood of countless lives.
Chantel was scared out of her wits, crawling to clutch Howard Yeats’s leg, crying in fear, "Mr. Ye, I was wrong, I shouldn’t have told Nicole I was carrying your child. I was just so in love with you that I lost my mind and said those things to her."
"Get off me."
Howard Yeats kicked Chantel away in disgust, resolving to discard her after dealing with the matter.
Once again, Chantel was kicked aside, feeling intense pain rush through her body as fresh blood oozed from her chest wound. Despite this, she knelt to beg.
"Mr. Ye, I was wrong, I truly realize my mistake. I swear I will never say such things again. Please give me one last chance."
Every word Chantel uttered was laced with unbearable pain, and even the air she inhaled felt torturous.
Jade Yeats stood behind Howard Yeats. She had initially wanted to confront Chantel, but seeing Howard’s brutality towards her, she felt a bit scared.
Her brother is serious about Ivy Linden.
Jade Yeats was certain.
"Did you cause Ivy Linden’s miscarriage?" Howard Yeats coldly eyed Chantel, pleading on the ground, and asked harshly.
Chantel’s heart jolted violently; she looked down in panic, "N... no, it wasn’t me."
At that moment, another man in a black suit approached and handed a phone to Howard Yeats.
Upon watching the video, Howard Yeats’s face darkened, and he smashed the phone in fury.
Jade Yeats was so angry her eyes turned red. "Chantel, you vicious woman, Ivy Linden was so good to you, and yet you used Nicole to cause her miscarriage. Are you even human?"
Chantel trembled all over, not daring to meet Howard Yeats’s eyes. The only feeling she had was that Howard would tear her apart at any moment.
Chantel looked at Jade Yeats and said, "The child in Ivy Linden’s womb wasn’t Mr. Ye’s. You arranged another man to be with Ivy Linden. If it were Mr. Ye’s, how could he not know?"
Slap!
Jade Yeats rushed forward and landed a harsh slap on Chantel’s face.
Jade Yeats shouted tearfully, "That was my brother’s child! I hid it from him and got the child into Ivy Linden’s womb. Now you killed it... you killed it..."
Hearing Jade Yeats’s sobs, Howard Yeats’s eyes reddened, and he signaled to the bodyguards.
The bodyguard went to pull Jade Yeats away. "Miss, calm down. Mr. Ye will handle this matter."
Chantel was stunned by Jade Yeats’s words, like a wooden figure. Her heart fell into a dark abyss, where the cold and dampness brought the breath of death.
How could Jade Yeats stay calm?
She cried out, "Let me go, let me go, I want to kill this wicked woman, to avenge my sister-in-law and my unborn nephew or niece."
The bodyguard feared that if Jade Yeats didn’t manage to beat Chantel to death, she might get herself worked up and die first.
He forcibly dragged Jade Yeats away.
"Mr. Ye, how do you want us to deal with her? Leave it to us, don’t dirty your hands," another bodyguard said.
"Buy ten boxes of abortion pills and make her swallow them all."
"Yes, Mr. Ye."
Chantel on the ground reacted, scrambling to her feet and turning to flee.
The bodyguard took a quick step forward and apprehended her.
"Mr. Ye, I beg you to spare me, I can’t take those pills. If I take them, I’ll die. Please, I don’t want to die..." Chantel cried out in heart-wrenching despair, knowing that swallowing those ten boxes would not only kill her but also subject her to excruciating pain.
It was simply a hellish torment.
"Take her away, and if she escapes, you take those ten boxes of pills instead," Howard Yeats coldly instructed the bodyguard as if he hadn’t heard Chantel’s pleas.
The bodyguard shuddered with fear, clamping tightly onto Chantel. "Yes, Mr. Ye."
He dragged Chantel away and pushed her into a commercial vehicle. As the vehicle drove off, Chantel’s hysterical screams gradually faded away.
Once the surroundings fell silent, Howard Yeats gazed at the sprawling villa, feeling no comfort. Even after punishing Chantel, his heart ached from the loss of a child.
A child he once had with Ivy Linden.
Unbeknownst to him, tears trickled from the corners of Howard Yeats’s eyes as he muttered, "If that child had been born, it would surely be adorable, right? Would it look more like Ivy or me?"
Howard Yeats’s lips curved into a bitter smile. "Why think about this? The child is gone; it was my negligence that caused the child to leave before entering this world..."
Ivy Linden stayed in the hospital for three days before moving to the Kane family villa.
Ivana Monroe initially wanted Ivy to stay a few more days, to get some nutritional IVs that were labeled "Levofloxacin Hydrochloride," even if Howard Yeats or Jade Yeats came by and wouldn’t notice.
But in those three short days, Ivana feared Howard Yeats might become suspicious.
Leon Keane was very firm, insisting that since Ivana was pregnant, staying with Ivy in the hospital was too tiring, and he wanted her to return home.
Not just Leon, but The Dowager Kane, Leon’s father, and Serena Norton were all missing Ivana and worried it was inappropriate for a pregnant woman to take care of someone in the hospital.
Ivy Linden had just returned to the Kane family with Ivana Monroe.
Howard Yeats arrived at the hospital with flowers, and Jade Yeats carried fruits and supplements to visit Ivy.
"Where’s the patient in this room?"
Howard Yeats didn’t see anyone in Ivy Linden’s hospital room, so he grabbed a passing doctor and asked.
"She was discharged! Just over ten minutes ago, they completed the discharge procedures and left."
