Flash Marriage: In His Eyes-Chapter 196: The Master and the Mastermind
–Jane–
Every weekend, Logan took us out of the laboratory to somewhere we could relax for two days. Kei was always thrilled to finally get out of work. We made sure to wear enough disguises. I think they’ve already stopped searching for me and Logan. The Red Bull seemed to have gone quiet.
Last weekend, Logan took me to a classical music concert. I fell asleep without realizing it. When I woke up, I was too embarrassed. At first, I thought he was pranking me—but then I realized he was being serious about the activities he’d planned that day.
First, we went to Livana’s villa. Kenzo greeted us and decided to tag along with whatever adventure Logan had in mind. The moment we stepped into the villa, Keiko flung her arms around Logan while the other girls rushed to Kei, kissing him on the cheeks. He flushed like a tomato.
"I’ll be going to my room," I told Kenzo, who simply nodded.
I headed upstairs and picked up my tablet from my bag. I checked on my godchild, Skylar—he looked so adorable.
"Meowww!"
I flinched when Moon casually waltzed into my room. I’d left the door ajar, and he took advantage of it, brushing himself against my calves. I bent down and scratched his head.
"Hello, Moon." I crouched and lifted him into my arms. "Aren’t you getting too fat?" I rubbed his belly as he purred loudly. I think he’s been neutered. I don’t see his balls anywhere.
"So, your happiness has been taken away from you so fast?" I asked him, still rubbing his belly.
"Happiness?"
I looked at the door. Logan was leaning against the frame, arms crossed.
"Do you mean his balls?"
"You got it right," I replied flatly, continuing to stroke Moon’s fur.
"By the way, Moon loves taking baths in the hot spring. We can take him with us."
"Hmm, I don’t think that’s right." I shrugged. "How do you even know he likes baths?" I asked, looking up at him.
"He hopped into our car once and strutted into that hot spring villa like he owned the place. I think he came here acting like he owns you, too." He scoffed. "He’s a casanova, even though he’s neutered."
I laughed when Moon playfully bit my finger.
"So, who is Moon, actually?" I asked, as Logan hummed thoughtfully.
"Well, when Livana first brought me here, this little guy was by the roadside—injured and dying. Liva took him in, called a vet, and after that, more stray cats came around. But Moon became the alpha of them all." He chuckled. "I still remember when one of the cats messed up the table—he actually disciplined them."
"Hmm, I wish I could’ve seen that." I smiled, admiring this plump cat. "Maybe we can take Moon with us."
"Alright, start packing your bikini," he snickered. "Or would you rather borrow one of Keiko’s?"
I glared at him, glancing down at my chest. There was no way I could compare to that woman.
"I hate you."
He burst into laughter as he walked toward his room.
I stood and opened the closet, picking out some comfortable clothes—and no, there was no bikini option in my wardrobe. My phone started ringing nonstop. I picked it up and answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Jane. How’s your stay?"
"Hmm, I’m doing great. We’ll be going somewhere to relax."
"That’s good."
I heard a baby crying faintly in the background, followed by Livana’s voice moving away from the phone.
"Damon, please take Sky."
Her voice was elegant yet commanding—typical Livana. I could already picture Damon being obediently domestic around her.
"Hold on," she said softly. After a pause, she continued, "In six months, you can come back to the Philippines. Kei should have wrapped everything up by then. I also want you and Logan to set up a protection plan for the people in that secret lab. Clear their data, change their names—whatever it takes. Send them abroad if they wish."
"Those are your valuable pawns..."
"Yes, they are," she admitted. "But I’m assigning them a new project. I need them safe and hidden for now."
"I understand."
"I already gave Logan the same instructions. I want you both working together. Also, about Kei..." She paused. "He needs to play dead."
"Hmm." I nodded to myself. "Copy that."
"For now, enjoy your hot spring. And maybe try to flirt a little. There’s Kenzo and Logan there."
I scoffed.
"Oh, please. Don’t tempt me. I’m already immune to men."
Livana laughed softly.
"Alright, that’s all for now."
"Take care." I hung up and turned around—only to find Logan standing there, holding two bikinis.
"I got this one from Sakura, and this one from Mai."
They were both ridiculously small, barely enough to cover nipples or the private part, just strings. I wasn’t sure what was going through his head—but I was very clear about what was going through mine. I grabbed a book from the shelf and hurled it at him. He dodged, laughing like an idiot.
"You’re such an asshole, Logan!" I shouted as Moon leapt onto the bed and sprawled lazily across it.
"Hey, I’m just trying to help you out!" he said between laughs, handing the bikinis to Kei. "These are Sakura’s and Mai’s," he said as Kei flushed, laughing awkwardly.
I walked over and shut the door firmly.
My chest burned with irritation. There’s not a single day that man doesn’t piss me off.

I squinted my eyes at the new Hermès bag Damon gave me, the leather gleaming like it came straight from heaven’s boutique. Now, I’m thinking—what’s this for? Did I forget one of our little secret or not-so-secret games? Or maybe I forgot that I once gave him pointers on how to please my sister?
"What is it for?" I asked him, raising a brow. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Milk. For my son," he said flatly. "Your sister can’t pump much these days because, unfortunately, that little rascal wants to drain her completely."
I threw my head back and laughed. "Seriously?"
"Hey, this is a limited edition. No—actually, it’s a one-of-a-kind design. Anyway, I need milk. And please, could you boost your sister’s mood a bit? She’s been glaring at me nonstop. Don’t get me wrong—I love it when she can see me clearly now, but those dagger eyes? They’re gorgeous... just very intimidating."
"A big guy like you, intimidated by my sister?" I laughed again, almost snorting. "I can’t believe this."
He’s bulky, dangerous, and honestly, the most intimidating man in the Blackwell family. Yet here he is, trembling over my sister’s glares.
"Look," he sighed, "can you watch over Sky for a while? Even just a day. I want to spend time with your sister..."
"Nope. Sky needs his mom."
"Alright, then. After three or four months? Can you take him for just a day or two?"
"Well," I shrugged, picking up the stunning bag and admiring the stitching, "you’ve got yourself a deal."
"Don’t tell your sister. I’m sure she won’t agree to this."
Oh, she’ll find out. Livana always does. Whatever agreement Damon and I had, I doubt it’ll stay secret for long.
Damien scoffed beside me. "Oh, please. I think Livana already knows your plan, dummy," my gorgeous husband said so casually, like it was an absolute fact.
"Whatever," Damon muttered, adjusting Skyler in his arms before handing me the bag. I accepted it gratefully—another lovely addition to my collection.
"I’m heading back. She’ll get annoyed if Skyler gets hungry. I love this little guy, but he’s seriously greedy."
Once Damon left, I looked at Damien and rolled my eyes.
"Your brother is really, really dumb most of the time."
"Did he just call his infant son greedy?"
I laughed, shaking my head. "You heard him right. Unfortunately, Skyler comes second—Livana always comes first. No wonder she keeps glaring at him."
"Hmm," Damien nodded, thoughtful. He only recently found out that Livana could see again. We kept it a secret for a while; the whole family still doesn’t know. "Well, I’m glad Damon actually took a paternity break to take care of them."
He finally put down our little Princess, then approached me and kissed my lips.
"I’ll be home as soon as I can. Also," he picked up his briefcase, "what would you like me to buy?"
"Hmm, I haven’t thought of anything yet... but I’m getting really fat," I sighed, dramatically pinching my waist.
"Nah, you’re curvy," he grinned, pressing his mouth against mine and sliding one hand up to cup my breast. "I’ll have those later," he whispered mischievously.
I laughed and swatted him away. "I love you."
"I love you too."
I watched him leave, smiling faintly. He’s been busy cleaning up the company messes. Unfortunately, all of Damon’s assets were either burned down or nearly destroyed. I don’t know who’s behind it, but it feels like they’re targeting him because of my sister.
I sat down and began feeding Zayvier, admiring my new Hermès bag—the "payment" for whatever secret scheme Damon’s cooking up. Taking care of Skyler isn’t a problem, though. I have plenty of milk stored in the fridge. I pump every day and keep reserves for when I need a break from feeding.
A soft knock on the door startled me. I looked up as it slowly opened—and there she was. Livana.
She slipped inside, quietly shutting and locking the door behind her.
"Liva?" I called, blinking.
"I’m getting away from Damon," she said simply, walking toward the sofa and sitting down with that calm, regal poise that only she could pull off. Then her eyes landed on the Hermès bag, and I instantly felt guilty.
"What is this?" she asked.
"Oh, it’s just a gift for me," I said with a nervous giggle.
She stared at me for five long seconds—expression unreadable—and then nodded, like she’d already solved the puzzle.
Damn it. I knew it. Livana already figured out my little game. I just can’t beat her.
