Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 529 - 528: Troubles Found Again
"Fiona Sutton, you’re here early."
Nia Mitchell smiled and handed Fiona a cup of watermelon juice, her favorite, but Fiona didn’t take it.
"I’m on my period. I can’t drink anything cold."
She didn’t even glance at Nia Mitchell as she spoke.
Nia Mitchell sat there awkwardly, unsure whether to keep holding the watermelon juice or put it down. They had such a good relationship; how could she not know Fiona’s menstrual cycle? Fiona’s period should have just ended recently.
"Then I’ll go get you a hot drink."
As Nia Mitchell said this, she stood up, ready to go out. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"No need."
Fiona Sutton stopped her, looking quite upset.
"I can’t afford your drink."
Now, even their classmates could sense the tension between them.
Julia Adams, sitting not far away, suddenly laughed.
"How rare! You two are actually arguing. This is truly the best graduation gift for me."
Julia Adams’s face was wreathed in smiles as she happily took a sip of her drink.
"None of your damn business!"
Fiona Sutton shot Julia Adams an annoyed look, scrutinizing her flashy makeup and clothes. She thinks she’s so pretty, but she’s nothing more than a painted hen. "So pretentious!"
"What did you say!?"
Julia Adams was instantly infuriated. No one had ever spoken to her that way before.
"I said you’re pretentious! Acting all high and mighty. Isn’t that face of yours just plastic surgery? What a mess."
Hearing the words ’plastic surgery,’ Julia Adams’s anger flared, and her chest heaved.
Several boys, seeing her chest, found it a bit much to handle, their eyes fixed on her.
"Take a good look at yourself! You’re nothing but plain porridge. You’re just jealous of me, so you’re slandering me."
Julia Adams knew she couldn’t get angry at this moment. The angrier she became, the more Fiona would think she was in the wrong.
"I wouldn’t deign to do something like that!"
Jealous?
"Speaking of which, Nia Mitchell, I heard you were dumped at your Engagement Banquet. How does that feel?"
Having failed to get the upper hand with Fiona Sutton, Julia Adams turned on Nia Mitchell instead.
Nia Mitchell froze. Before she could react, Julia Adams’s mocking laughter rang out again.
"Look at you, you must be heartbroken. Your dream of marrying into a wealthy family is shattered. If I were you, I wouldn’t dare show my face here again. What a disgrace! To think she still has the nerve to come. She’s truly thick-skinned."
"What I do is none of your concern, is it?"
Nia Mitchell couldn’t understand Julia Adams’s motives. Does she really wish ill on everyone?
"Of course, it has nothing to do with me. I’m not your friend, after all."
Julia Adams rolled her eyes at Nia Mitchell and then shot a meaningful glance towards Fiona Sutton.
"Stop meddling."
Fiona Sutton snapped irritably, then stood up and left.
Watching her go, Nia Mitchell’s spirits sank. Fiona’s still angry.
"Julia Adams, watch how you speak!"
Charles Northwood suddenly spoke. Present as both a classmate and a professor, his words immediately silenced the room.
Given his sensitive position, he hadn’t actually wanted to come today. But after some consideration, he had guessed Nia Mitchell would definitely be here.
By noon, Ralph Perez had finished all his preparations and returned to the Private Room.
The moment he entered, he sensed that the atmosphere was off.
"What’s wrong?" Ralph Perez asked, puzzled, glancing at Nia Mitchell.
"Nothing," Julia Adams suddenly said with a smile.
"I was just comforting Nia Mitchell. Being dumped by Hendry Hampton isn’t the end of the world, is it?"
