Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 664 - 663: Are you sure this is normal?
Maxwell Peary, his face flushed, went to the bathroom door, nervously holding something in his hand.
He knocked on the door.
"Nia Mitchell, I’ve got your stuff."
Hearing his voice, Nia immediately flushed the toilet and came to the door.
She opened the door a crack and extended her soft, white hand.
Maxwell placed the item in Nia’s hand. The metallic scent of blood from the bathroom filled his nostrils.
「Five minutes later.」
Nia opened the bathroom door and stepped out in her nightgown.
Seeing Maxwell sitting on the bed, her face flushed.
"Uncle, haven’t you slept yet?" she asked awkwardly, trying to find a topic of conversation.
"Mm."
Clearly, Maxwell had no intention of saying much. He saw her come over and, noticing nothing particularly amiss, pulled back the covers on the bed beside him, gesturing for her to get in.
Nia looked up and immediately climbed into bed. Her hands and feet were already ice-cold from spending so long in the bathroom.
HISS.
Maxwell frowned and took her small hand.
"Why are you so cold? Are you cold?"
They both lay down. Nia snuggled closer into his embrace, shaking her head.
Her stomach ached; her small hand slipped out of the CEO’s warm grasp and pressed against her abdomen.
"What’s wrong?"
For the first time, Maxwell felt utterly clueless. He, who was usually so adept at strategizing, felt that everything today was slipping from his control.
"It’s nothing, just a bit of a stomachache."
She didn’t have the strength to say more and closed her eyes after speaking.
"Stomachache! Do we need to go to the Hospital!?"
Maxwell panicked when he heard Nia had a stomachache. Remembering all the blood she had lost, he immediately sat up, ready to get out of bed.
"Uncle."
Nia quickly reached out and grabbed his arm.
"It’s okay. Don’t worry, this is normal." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
The corners of her mouth twitched. Uncle Peary’s reaction is quite amusing, she thought.
Maxwell paused, looking at Nia with a skeptical expression.
"Is it really normal? Are you sure it’s not something serious?"
Nia immediately shook her head. She pulled him back down to lie beside her, then rested her small head on his arm and curled up in his embrace.
Looking up at him, she saw his deeply furrowed brow.
Even at the Company, she had never seen him frown so deeply.
Nia smiled and smoothed his furrowed brow with her hand.
"I’m really fine. It’s just a normal physiological condition, don’t worry."
Seeing his concern, her initial shyness faded.
After a moment’s thought, she took his large hand and placed it on her lower abdomen.
"Uncle, your hand is very warm. It feels much better when you place it here," she said, her face flushed.
True enough, when she mentioned feeling a bit better, the tension on Maxwell’s face eased, his expression no longer as stiff.
"Really?"
Nia nodded.
"How about this?"
Maxwell gently rubbed her lower abdomen, carefully observing her expression.
"Yes, it’s much better now."
Although it still hurt a little, a smile spread across her face.
Seeing her smile, Maxwell finally felt somewhat relieved and continued to gently rub her abdomen.
"If you’re tired, you should get some rest."
For some reason, he felt she looked a bit pale.
"Mm," Nia smiled and gradually closed her eyes.
