Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 681 - 680: Can You Be More Shameless?
How could Charles Northwood ever let him succeed so easily? He was no longer a student; his relationship with the school was purely transactional.
Hearing Charles Northwood’s words, the Principal was so furious he could only nod repeatedly.
"Perfect! Let’s see if I pay you the penalty. If you dare, take University A to court!"
The Principal didn’t think Charles Northwood had the guts, nor did he believe he had the ability to successfully sue University A.
Charles Northwood gave a cold laugh, looking at the Principal.
"Alright. I’ll certainly do as you wish."
There was always a smile on Charles Northwood’s face, but today’s was especially chilling.
The female students from University A, watching from a distance, were practically seeing stars. Oh my god! He’s so handsome! That’s our Professor Northwood, so handsome! I want to marry him! Inwardly, everyone was screaming, wishing they could cling to Charles Northwood.
Sunlight shone on Charles Northwood, dressed in white, making him appear all the more dazzling. His perfect face, adorned with a slightly wicked smile, was utterly captivating.
Tara Jameson had planned to leave after class, but unexpectedly, as she was on her way, she heard everyone discussing the situation unfolding nearby. Nia Mitchell’s name was on everyone’s lips.
She stopped in her tracks. If Nia is causing trouble, Charles Northwood should be there, right?
As if drawn by an unseen force, she began walking step by step towards the dormitory area. Sure enough, it wasn’t long before she heard Charles Northwood’s name mentioned.
When she learned that he was risking his job—risking being fired—to protect Nia, she suddenly quickened her pace. Faster and faster, eventually breaking into a run.
HUFF. HUFF. Panting heavily, she finally reached the scene just in time to hear Charles Northwood’s words. Watching everything unfold from afar, a sudden realization struck her: she had never truly been close to Charles Northwood.
"Fine! Charles Northwood, don’t you regret this!"
The Principal was fuming, his face turning a dark shade of purple.
Charles Northwood didn’t seem to care at all. He turned, a laugh escaping him, and then he spotted Tara Jameson in the distance. The smile on his face froze as his eyes met Tara Jameson’s.
Time seemed to stop as he continued to gaze at her.
Tara Jameson lowered her head, avoiding his gaze.
"I promise I won’t regret it."
He flashed a roguish smile and, mimicking Nia’s earlier pose, leaned against the car. His long legs seemed to stretch out even further, exuding an air of effortless charm.
Nia Mitchell chuckled. With such good friends in this life, what more could I regret?
"Principal, may I ask what, exactly, I did wrong?"
"You shouldn’t have driven this car onto school grounds! You caused a commotion, you talked back to the Principal, and you showed no respect for your elders..."
The Principal could list a whole slew of Nia’s supposed wrongdoings.
Nia Mitchell suddenly laughed, then looked up at the Principal.
"Principal, can you be any more shameless?"
Since both Fiona Sutton and Charles Northwood had already offended him, she saw no reason to be polite either. If there was no chance to salvage the situation, she wouldn’t hesitate to play hardball.
"I did nothing wrong. In fact, I intend to hold you accountable. My car was scratched while parked on your school’s property. Surely, Principal, you’re not so out of touch as to be unaware of this car’s value? You will cover the repair costs."
Nia Mitchell stood there, a newfound hardness in her demeanor; it was as if a switch had flipped within her. Her aggressive posture, surprisingly, was rather endearing.
Of course, in the Principal’s eyes, she was simply detestable.
"Repair costs? Don’t even think about it! It wasn’t me who scratched your car!"
