Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 686 - 685: Young Master Peary, please spare me
This was more terrifying than a death sentence.
Many people were watching this scene, but not everyone could hear what they were saying.
Apart from Nia Mitchell, Julia Adams was the one in the entire school who heard their words most distinctly.
Maxwell Peary had no intention of letting Principal Wu off so easily. In his eyes, offending Nia Mitchell was far more detestable than offending him personally.
"Since Principal Wu has clearly lost the ability to distinguish right from wrong, it is time University A had a new one."
THUMP!
Principal Wu collapsed directly onto the ground.
They’re changing the principal!
Maxwell Peary absolutely had the power to make it happen.
Principal Wu’s heart turned to ash, his face a mask of utter disbelief.
"No! No... You can’t, Young Master Peary! Young Master Peary, Young Master Peary, I know I was wrong! Please, spare me! Just spare me this once!"
Principal Wu suddenly shrieked as if he had lost his mind, his voice so heart-wrenching that everyone could hear it distinctly.
The raw despair in his voice was undeniable as his words echoed relentlessly across the sky above University A.
Maxwell Peary sneered but said nothing.
"Just spare me! I’m begging you, Young Master Peary, I beg you! I can’t lose this job, I can’t! I’ve struggled so desperately to climb to this position."
Now that his position was about to be stripped away, how could he possibly care about his dignity anymore?
"It’s all because of this student! She’s the one, she instigated me, Young Master Peary! If I had known Nia Mitchell was your... your person, I wouldn’t have dared to lay a finger on her, not even if I had a hundred times the nerve!"
It was Julia Adams who told him Nia Mitchell had been dumped by Maxwell Peary.
If it weren’t for that, how could he possibly have made such a muddle-headed mistake?
Maxwell Peary, however, paid no heed to these excuses. All he knew now was that this Principal Wu, incapable of recognizing a pearl for what it was, had actually demanded Nia Mitchell bring her parents.
What use is there in keeping such a principal? Might as well replace him!
"Young Master Peary, please spare me, I’m begging you, I’m begging you..."
Principal Wu wailed, tears and mucus streaming down his face. The terror and desperation contorting his features made him almost unrecognizable from his earlier self.
Seeing his wretched state, Nia Mitchell almost felt a pang of pity for him.
However, she was no saint.
She wouldn’t plead for Principal Wu. What if, today, she hadn’t known Maxwell Peary at all? She would have been forced out of the school by Principal Wu and would have even implicated Fiona Sutton and Charles Northwood.
"Young Master Peary, don’t listen to Principal Wu’s nonsense! I’m Nia Mitchell’s best friend! How could I possibly try to instigate anything..."
Maxwell Peary glanced at Julia Adams, who looked like a contemptible buffoon putting on a show. His expression was glacial.
"I am fully aware of everything that transpires in Capital Town. I can find out anything I wish to know."
Maxwell Peary snorted coldly and, having said his piece, turned his head away.
That single glance sent an icy chill down Julia Adams’s spine; she felt as if a venomous snake had fixed its predatory gaze on her.
She swallowed hard, standing rooted to the spot in terror.
What did Young Master Peary’s words mean? He could find out anything he wanted to know?
Anxiety began to churn within Julia Adams, and her hands instantly turned ice-cold.
With that said, Maxwell Peary had no desire to waste any more time there. He turned to Nia Mitchell, who had been standing beside him all along.
"Let’s head back first."
His voice softened, though it still carried a faint trace of its earlier chill.
Nia Mitchell stood there, unsure how to respond. She didn’t actually want to go back.
She had just made plans with Fiona Sutton and Charles Northwood.
But... the CEO seemed to be in a rather foul mood. If she refused him at this moment, would he get angry?
