Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 744 - 743: How Much Money Do You Want
Nia Mitchell wiped her tears, pouting as she stood before Maxwell Peary.
"Alright."
Maxwell Peary frowned slightly and reached out to dry her tears. "I won’t leave," he said in a profoundly serious tone, almost like swearing an oath.
"COUGH!"
Nia’s father stood awkwardly to the side, feeling like an outsider. He had finally had enough of their lovey-dovey behavior. This man isn’t Hendry Hampton, is he? He remembered that online post saying he was Young Master Peary and seemed wealthy. Why did this man come at this point instead of Nia’s husband? 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Nia, you..."
He wanted his daughter to be able to face others with dignity and confidence. But her current circumstances were partly his fault. He’d rather believe that Nia was truly forced by circumstances to become someone’s mistress. But she can’t stay in such a fallen state, can she? Why isn’t she trying to break away faster?
"Dad, please don’t ask. Some things aren’t simple enough to be explained in just a few words." Nia Mitchell looked at her father, genuinely heartbroken. "I’ve done all I can regarding today’s situation. I plan to leave here with him soon."
After saying this, she turned to leave.
But her father suddenly blocked her way. "Don’t go."
He didn’t know why he stopped her, but he knew this was his daughter. She had finally come home—how could he just let her leave like that?
"Dad, why should I stay here?"
Just then, Molly Harguez came out. "Stay here for what? To pay the bills, of course! Otherwise, who will cover your brother’s medical bills, hospital expenses, and treatment fees?"
Molly Harguez had figured it out; this man was truly formidable. He was definitely very wealthy. Since that was the case, she absolutely had to get a large sum of money out of him. Young Master Peary, was it? She’d heard that this Young Master Peary was incredible and certainly wouldn’t care about such a paltry amount of money.
Nia Mitchell turned to look at Molly Harguez, her face filled with helplessness. "Why should I pay these bills?"
Shouldn’t her parents be responsible for them?
"Your father and I don’t have any money. If you don’t pay, who will? And don’t you forget who raised you to be this big!" Molly Harguez was furious, her shrill, harsh voice echoing throughout the hospital corridor. "You’re that Young Master Peary, right? You should know, our Nia is a pure and innocent girl. For her to be with you in such an ill-defined way, you ought to at least make some gesture, shouldn’t you?"
Molly Harguez walked right up to Maxwell Peary and spoke bluntly. Every word from her bright red lips made it seem like she was spouting utter nonsense.
Maxwell Peary frowned. He hadn’t expected this woman to be so shameless, openly demanding money from him.
"How much do you want?"
Maxwell Peary indeed had plenty of money; he truly didn’t care about these amounts.
Hearing this, Molly Harguez’s eyes immediately lit up. She hadn’t expected this Young Master Peary to be such a fool, asking her directly like that!
Instantly, a wide smile spread across Molly Harguez’s face; her expression had completely changed. "Oh, not much, not much at all! First, just settle all of your brother’s medical bills here, and then give us one million as a betrothal gift. That’ll be enough."
Molly Harguez immediately made an exorbitant demand. To her, one million was an astronomical sum.
However, in Maxwell Peary’s eyes, one million was merely the price of a pair of shoes.
"One million?" Maxwell Peary raised an eyebrow.
