Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 747 - 746: Open your dog eyes and see clearly, that’s Young Master Peary!
Nia Mitchell stood to one side, a particularly colorful expression on her face as she watched the scene unfold.
"Uncle, let’s go first."
They had stayed out so late, they had probably missed the last transport back to Capital Town. They would have to find a local hotel for the night.
Maxwell Peary, however, wasn’t thinking about such things. He wanted to help Nia solve her most pressing problem.
"You’re not going anywhere."
Molly Harguez barred Nia’s path, her face a mask of displeasure.
"At least cover the medical fees here. We don’t have money."
Molly kept pleading poverty.
Nia’s father couldn’t watch any longer and grabbed Molly.
"How are we broke? Didn’t we deposit 100,000 USD last time?"
Hearing this from Nia’s father, Molly immediately flew into a rage.
"That 100,000 USD is for our son’s university education! How could you say such a thing?" Molly roared at Nia’s father.
"Haven’t you been saving up for his university fees already? It should be around 80,000 USD by now, right?"
Nia’s father exposed Molly’s lies once again. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Where would 80,000 USD come from? Our food, our clothes—doesn’t everything cost money? We bought a house, renovated it; that all costs money!"
Molly’s face flushed with anger; she was thunderstruck by what Nia’s father had said.
Does he even want a good life in the future? How dare he say they’re not short on money at a time like this! He’s truly a lost cause, destined to be poor his entire life.
Nia’s father was struck speechless. Molly managed their household finances, so, truthfully, he wasn’t sure how much money they actually had left.
On the ground nearby, several police officers lay groaning, while the group standing with Nia was arguing loudly.
"Besides, you caused all this trouble, and you’re just going to leave? If someone comes to deal with this later, what are we supposed to do?"
Molly had thought this through carefully. This Young Master Peary had beaten up important people. If he just left, these police officers would definitely make trouble for their family of three. Everyone here was watching; they all thought they were accomplices. What terrible luck, as if cursed for eight generations! If only she had stopped Nia from coming back. Molly was filled with regret.
Nia also grew worried when she heard this. She could ignore Molly, but what about her father? If Uncle left just like that, Dad would definitely be implicated, and so would her little brother lying in the hospital bed. Although this brother was Molly’s child and she felt no particular affection for him, they rarely quarreled, and the child, ultimately, was innocent.
Maxwell Peary sighed. He knew what Nia was thinking and reached out to take her hand.
"Don’t worry."
He comforted her, then took out his phone and dialed a number.
Less than a minute after he hung up, the phone of the police chief, still lying on the ground, began to ring.
The chief frowned and pulled out his phone, only to see it was a call from the D City Military District.
"Hello?"
"Are you stupid?"
The person on the other end didn’t bother with pleasantries, immediately launching into a tirade.
"You usually seem pretty sharp. Is your brain clogged with shit today? How dare you touch him! Do you even know who that man standing in front of you is?"
The chief froze, cautiously glancing at the man.
"Who is he?"
"You damn fool! That’s Young Master Peary! Young Master Peary from Capital Town! Open your damn dog eyes and look properly! It’s Young Master Peary!"
