Chapter 766: Chapter 765: Remember to Miss Me

These instructions left Nia Mitchell rather baffled. What did he mean? Wasn’t she supposed to call him?

"Maxwell, what’s really going on with you?"

Was it really as simple as him returning to Capital Town?

"Nothing much. It’s just that if things don’t resolve well in Capital Town, I might have to go abroad. I won’t always be able to be by your side," Maxwell Peary said, reaching out to gently stroke her hair.

"You have to miss me," he suddenly murmured, his voice low but extremely tender.

Nia’s heart skipped a beat. She blushed and nodded.

"I understand. But you have to remember to miss me too."

Maxwell Peary smiled, his eyes full of amusement.

"Mhm."

Of course, he would miss her. He was just a bit worried he’d find himself missing her every single moment.

Thinking of this, he leaned down and kissed her again.

By the time Nia arrived at the hospital again, it was already noon. She had been on the sofa, talking at length with the CEO. It wasn’t until he absolutely had to leave that she took the food and went to the hospital.

Inside the hospital room, Aldy Mitchell’s IV drip had finished. He was lying there with his eyes closed, recuperating.

Father Mitchell was sitting on the sofa, also with his eyes closed, seemingly asleep.

When Nia walked in with the food, Molly Harguez immediately stood up. She turned her head and, upon seeing Nia, frowned.

"Why were you so slow?" Molly had eaten breakfast very early and was already quite hungry.

Nia didn’t say anything, just placed the lunch on the table and called out to her sleeping father.

"Dad, it’s lunchtime."

Father Mitchell opened his eyes, smiled, then walked over to the table.

Molly Harguez opened the food containers. Instead of eating first, she selected some of the more nutritious items and brought them over to Aldy.

Molly Harguez might be a disagreeable person, but she’s truly good to her son. She specifically ordered so much food and even lied, claiming Aldy wanted it. Still, I don’t doubt that Molly Harguez genuinely ordered all this for Aldy. When it comes to her son, she isn’t stingy.

"Mom, you eat first. I’m not hungry," Aldy said, lying there. He truly wasn’t hungry and had no desire to eat at all.

Hearing this, Molly Harguez immediately grew worried.

"You should eat at least a little. How can you refuse to eat? You need to eat more to get better faster."

Aldy shook his head. He didn’t want to eat; he had no appetite.

Seeing this, Father Mitchell also walked over.

"Just try to eat a little. You’ll be hungry if you don’t eat."

Seeing his parents like this, Aldy felt a bit cornered. He could only look at Nia, who was standing to the side, hoping she could help him.

Seeing his predicament, Nia felt a twinge of sympathy, but...

"Just eat a little," Nia urged, joining the effort to persuade him. "The lunch from this restaurant is delicious; just try some."

Aldy fell silent. Heh, and he’d thought Nia was on his side. Turns out, that was just his wishful thinking.

Having no other choice, Aldy couldn’t refuse them all. He relented, taking the spoonful Molly Harguez offered and slightly opening his mouth.

Seeing him finally eat, Molly Harguez watched happily, her eyes welling with tears.

When a son suffered so grievously, it was always the mother whose heart ached the most. Looking at his bruised and battered face, she felt a deep pang.

"Come, eat a bit more."
