Chapter 41: Chapter 41 - Aether, Blaze, Cinder, Dusk

Nothing special from the Rank-B tickets, so Atlas decided not to waste any more time analyzing items of that rank. Unless he happened to receive something entirely new, like a skill scroll, talent scroll, or some other rare item.

He stored everything he’d pulled so far, and now only three purple tickets hovered in the air. Glancing around, he noticed everyone watching him intently, their faces filled with anticipation.

He touched the first Rank-A ticket, and immediately a flash of light filled the air, causing everyone to squint as the brilliant shape took form. When the glow faded, a weapon hovered before them. A beautifully crafted, radiant white bow with elegant curves and intricate design.

A bow?

[You have received 1 Rank-A Weapon: Whisperwind Arc]

Everyone stared in awe. Even at a glance, they could tell this was an exceptional weapon. Several archers in the troops couldn’t hide their hopeful expressions, clearly eager for a chance to wield it.

Atlas grasped the bow, examining its details and quickly scanning through its information.

[Whisperwind Arc]

[Grade: Epic]

[Agility +200

Attack Speed +150]

[Skills:]

[Phantom Arrow (Active)

Generates an energy arrow, allowing for incredible precision and accuracy.]

[Arcane Volley (Active)

Fires a rapid sequence of three energy arrows that target the nearest enemies in range.]

It was indeed an Epic-grade Bow! A truly extraordinary weapon. Atlas looked around at his troops and gave them a confident smile.

He was committed to equipping his subordinates with the finest gear. Ideally, he hoped to secure signature weapons for each of his summoned allies and, at the very least, Rank-A items for the most promising members of the team.

Lifting the bow, he drew the string back, and, almost magically, an arrow formed. He aimed it into the night sky and released it. The arrow shot forward, leaving a glowing trail as it soared high and arced down, disappearing beyond the edge of the island.

Everyone broke into applause.

"Zara, come here," Atlas called out.

A young woman among the troops straightened at the sound of her name. She blinked, caught off guard by the attention, but quickly steadied herself and stepped forward with quiet composure.

This was Zara. The leader of the Aether team. Only eighteen, with a slender build and cropped silver hair, she wore light armor in soft browns and muted lavender. Her eyes held that rare balance: calm under pressure, yet brimming with unwavering resolve.

Atlas found himself wondering what trials she must have faced to develop such poise and strength at so young an age. She was already level 37 and had sworn allegiance to him. In truth, Atlas suspected she was more naturally gifted than he was.

Her talent spoke volumes. A rank-S in Bow Mastery, and Edrik had once mentioned how adept she was at leading her squad.

The young woman approached and dipped into a respectful bow. "My Lord."

Atlas extended the bow toward her. "Take this. Protect and guide your team well with it."

She froze, visibly stunned, then raised her head. With reverence, she accepted the weapon and bowed deeper. "My Lord, thank you for this gift. I will serve with everything I have."

A wave of applause swept through the crowd as Zara rejoined her team. Her comrades greeted her with proud smiles, and congratulatory pats on the back.

Eighteen... She must have a family down there... right?

[You have received 1 Rank-A Item: Mana Prism Lens]

[Enhance spellcasting accuracy and effectiveness.]

"An item for a magic user."

Atlas smiled, eyes scanning the crowd until they landed on someone standing confidently near the front.

"Kaida," he called.

"Hahaha!" A woman strode forward

Kaida, leader of the Blaze team, wore a short yukata that swayed around her legs with each step. Her vivid red hair framed a face lit with fierce energy and a sharp, teasing glint in her eyes.

Atlas cleared his throat, momentarily caught off guard by the sheer boldness of her presence, and by the way her snug robe did little to hide her... generous figure.

"My Lord, that item’s for me, isn’t it?"

"Yes. Take it. I’m proud of you," he said.

Kaida accepted the gift with a radiant grin. "Following you was the best choice I’ve ever made. Long life and prosperity to you, My Lord."

She turned with a laugh and made her way back to her team, lifting the lens high and showing it off like a trophy, her squad responding with cheers and playful jabs.

[You have received 1 Rank-A Item: Soulbinding Armor Set]

"Ah, another Soulbinding Armor Set."

Atlas paused, letting the moment stretch just enough to stir the crowd’s curiosity.

"This is a Soulbinding Armor Set," he announced, holding it up briefly. "It adapts to fit the wearer’s form and fighting style. A very rare piece. However..." He gave a small, knowing smile. "I’ll be holding onto this one for now."

A few playful groans rippled through the crowd. Atlas only chuckled, slipping the item into his inventory with a casual shrug.

Atlas tossed out another 10 tickets.

Brown... brown... brown... The crowd watched eagerly as each item appeared. Brown, brown... where was the red?

Finally, purple. Then, brown again.

Nine Rank-B items and one Rank-A? freewebnoveℓ.com

There was a ripple of smiles, though he could see a hint of disappointment in their eyes.

[You have received 1 Rank-A Item: Aegis Mantle (Chest Armor)]

[Provides a defensive shield that absorbs a portion of damage. ]

"An item for a tanker? Interesting..."

"Garen," Atlas called out.

From among the gathered troops, a man rose. A towering figure with a frame built like stone. He looked to be in his mid-twenties, his charcoal-black hair and ashen skin giving him an almost statuesque presence.

Garen was the leader of the Cinder team, and Atlas couldn’t help but feel a flicker of admiration as the man approached. There was something quietly commanding about him, a presence that didn’t need to raise its voice to be heard.

"My Lord," Garen said.

Despite his sheer size, there was a serenity in his tone and expression that only enhanced the weight of his presence. That balance made him all the more formidable.

"Please," Atlas said, holding out the item, "protect and lead your team well with this."

"Thank you for this gift, My Lord," Garen replied with a respectful bow. "I will bear its responsibility with pride."

Applause rose from the crowd as Garen turned and returned to his team, the new item secured in his grasp.

Atlas tossed another ten tickets into the air.

Brown, brown, brown, brown, brown... purple... brown, brown...

Only one purple?

He gave a wry smile, a flicker of disappointment crossing his face as he glanced at the others. They looked just as underwhelmed.

He couldn’t help but wonder, was there some hidden mechanic at play? Maybe opening tickets one after another dulled his luck somehow. Had his earlier fortune simply been a fluke?

There had to be some kind of rhythm or trick behind better pulls, though he had no proof. Still, the idea of pacing himself, resisting the urge to burn through all his tickets at once, suddenly felt much wiser.

So far, three team leaders had received items: Zara with a bow tailored to her precision and range; Kaida with a magic booster perfectly suited to her fire elemental spells; and Garen with a defensive artifact ideal for a tanker’s role.

Only one remained without a reward. Ronan, the leader of the Dusk team.

[You have received 1 Rank-A Item: Galewind Boots]

Atlas picked up the item he’d just pulled.

"Boots?"

[Boosts movement speed by 20% and agility in combat.]

Ah, an item that increases agility in combat, perfect for someone who relies heavily on this stat, like a thief or an archer. Atlas nodded, pleased.

"Ronan," he called.

A man stepped forward with shoulder-length black hair streaked with purple and dark, piercing eyes. Dressed in dark, form-fitting clothing with purple accents, Ronan’s expression was enigmatic and reserved. Atlas felt a slight chill under his intense gaze.

"My Lord," Ronan greeted, his voice cool and composed.

"I believe this will suit you well," Atlas said, holding out the item.

Edrik had confirmed that Ronan was not only highly skilled but also accustomed to working solo. As an archer, he was proficient and precise. A lone operator who had now chosen to follow Atlas.

Thirty standard Gacha pulls for today. He still had a hundred left, who knew what he might get next time.

"Alright, everyone, get some rest. We’ve got another hard training session tomorrow."

The group responded with a mix of "Yes," "Let’s go," and "Yo!"

Atlas realized he needed a rallying cry, one simple word or phrase that would unite everyone’s response.

But what would it be?
