Chapter 34: Chapter 42 Not bad, you still recognize me
"What’s the location?" The voice on the phone was still deep but carried a chilling undertone if one listened closely.
"Hacker Bar, Boss, do you want me to go over..."
Before he could finish, the call was already cut off, and Lin Junyang looked at the phone with a playful smile, glanced in An Ran’s direction, and then hummed a tune as he went to the bathroom.
An Ran didn’t know how much she had drunk with this newly acquainted senior. She just felt a bit dizzy and thought, maybe she should call Xiao Xiao to come and pick her up. She fumbled in her pocket.
"Junior, what are you looking for?" The man asked.
"Hmm... phone, I need to make a call. I want Xiao Xiao to come pick me up." An Ran mumbled.
"Little Junior, no need to call anyone. If you want to go home, I’ll take you right now." The man said, placing one hand on An Ran’s arm and the other on her waist.
But before his hand reached her waist, it was forcefully grabbed by a large hand, the grip so strong it seemed it might snap his wrist.
"Ah... ah... it hurts," the man grimaced in pain, following the arm that held his wrist to meet a pair of deep, fierce eyes filled with raging anger. Before he could see the person clearly, "Bang!" His left eye took a solid punch.
"How did you..."
Before he could finish his words, he saw the man’s eyes, sharp as blades, and his voice, cold and terrifying: "You deserved it."
Just three words made the man shiver all over, not daring to utter another sound.
The bar was still lively, and their location was inconspicuous, so no one noticed the commotion here.
Mu Xingfeng turned his head to look at the girl sitting there. At this moment, An Ran was clearly drunk, her pale face flushed with drunken redness, her little head nodding off. Even with such a big commotion, she was almost falling asleep. How big a heart must she have?
Seeing her like this, Mu Xingfeng’s anger grew even greater, and he pulled her up in one motion.
An Ran, who was drowsily asleep, was suddenly pulled up, feeling dizzy with weak legs, and fell directly against a broad chest in front of her.
"Mm..." Her nose hurt a bit from the impact, and An Ran raised her little head, red-eyed, at the tall man in front of her.
"Huh? Chief Mu, are you drinking too?"
"Good, you still recognize me." Mu Xingfeng gritted his teeth and said, pulling her to leave. In such an environment, he didn’t want her to stay another minute.
"Slow down... you... slow down... let go of me..." Mu Xingfeng, in his intense anger, walked quickly with large strides. An Ran, being dragged by him, almost fell several times and kept shouting.
Finally, reaching the bar entrance, Mu Xingfeng stopped, and An Ran broke free of his grip: "Let go of me, I don’t need you to manage me."
"Don’t need me? Fine, don’t you want another man to take advantage of you?" Mu Xingfeng said angrily.
An Ran was drunk but still somewhat conscious. She could tell the man had tried to take advantage of her but her brain was too slow to react properly.
When Mu Xingfeng mentioned it, she began to regret. When she was with Ye Sheng, she never let him take advantage of her even a bit, and pushed him away towards other women. Now here she was, letting another man take advantage freely. Thinking of this, An Ran squatted down and cried sadly.
But her crying made Mu Xingfeng panic, thinking he might have said something too harsh.
He had come out in a hurry and hadn’t changed. He was still wearing the team’s black T-shirt and training pants. Standing here in such an outfit while watching her cry really didn’t look good, but he had no idea how to comfort a woman.
