Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 153: My goal is to destroy him...

Celestia’s POV:

No one can get out of the abyss of torment alive! They get entirely consumed by the dark forces of the pit. Even the Shadow creatures can’t come out of the pit alive. Once someone gets thrown into the deep pit, it’s like their death sentence.

This is what I know about the abyss of torment. But Edwin here says that the Silver Shadow got out of there alive? This is impossible!

"Silver Shadow is not the first one to emerge alive from the pit. Four of them have already done that before," Edwin declared.

"But they were all Shadow creatures," I blurted out. "No light creatures have succeeded in this before!"

Edwin chuckled out a little and said, "You do know that Silver Shadow is an Angelic Demon, don’t you? And also, he was marked by the Nephilim. So he was able to do it!"

I pictured the blue inked mark of Nephilim that was on his forearm when he was in the dungeon. So he was already marked by the Anti-Angels and got their powers. That’s why he survived the abyss of torment!

"I understand now! He had the powers of Nephilim. Still, it took him a thousand years to escape from the pit? What was he doing there for this long?

Edwin, who was crouching on the ground for this long, sat down next to me under the shade of the ash wood tree.

"Celestia, you need to know one thing! Silver Shadow wasn’t actually imprisoned in the deep abyss. He was also grasping the force of darkness into him."

My brain synapses got frozen after I heard his explanation. "What are you saying? He was grasping the dark force of the pit?"

"Exactly! That is why he was in there for this long." Edwin said while he was dabbling the green grass on the ground. "Now he is more powerful than he was before!

This is not at all good news! If my enemy keeps on getting powerful, then how am I going to defeat them?

I clutched grass on the ground and began to fiddle with it just like Edwin was doing.

"Okay, Celestia. It’s time for us to go back to the cottage. Everyone must be worried about you!"

He was about to get up from the ground, but I stopped him. " Wait a minute! A while ago, you said that Silver Shadow got weak after my death and surrendered to Father Oberon without putting up a fight. Does it mean that he loves me and got upset by my death?"

While I was saying that out, Edwin plucked out a bunch of grass from the ground and broke them into tiny shreds. He then dropped the bits of grass back on the ground and said, "Silver Shadow does love you! But not in the way you think."

"Then in what way does he love me?" I asked in an eager-filled tone.

"He just wants your body and your powers too! Did you know that he was able to steal your powers?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

My jaw dropped in horror as I heard that. "He can steal my powers?"

"Yes, he can! And when you died, he got weak and surrendered as he wasn’t able to use your powers anymore."

"This is unbelievable! How is he even able to steal my powers?"

"We don’t know about that yet! And can we please leave now? I am pleading with you! Our friends are waiting for us in the cottage."

"Fine," I sighed out. I got back to my feet, and I dusted off the dry leaves that were on my gown and my hair. Why are the trees shedding so many leaves? Is it autumn now?

Edwin had dry leaves on his head too. Instead of taking them out of his hair, he was standing still and smiling at me. "You are still in love with him, aren’t you?"

I frowned at him and wondered how he could ask such a ridiculous question. "Are you out of your mind? Why on Aiden’s name would I be in love with him? He is my mortal enemy now!"

"But Celestia, if you don’t love him, then why did you keep on asking questions about him? It shows that you still care about him."

"Are you mocking me now?"

"No, I am serious! All that you asked me so far were related to him. You didn’t even ask a single question about your father or Darius or even your friends."

I got scared of myself. Do I still love him? No! That is impossible! He attacked my people and killed a hundred Faes. Now I am a Half-Vampire because of him.

Now I come to know that he also stole my powers. How can I be in love with someone like that? I am not that silly. Well, I was gullible in my previous life. As I recalled everything that I did in my previous life, I got ashamed of myself!

I am not gullible anymore! I grew up in the mortal realm, and I have come across a lot of wicked and greedy people. He won’t be able to manipulate me with his lies as he did to me before.

But even in this birth, I kissed him twice! I closed my eyes and tried to erase that memory from my mind. Then I realized that all I felt for him was hatred!

All I wanted to do now was to dig my fangs down his pale throat and suck out his silver blood entirely. If this is what I desire, then I can’t be in love with him.

Then I opened my eyes and arched my eyebrows at Edwin. "Listen carefully to me, my friend! Don’t even ask me that question again, even as a joke. I don’t love Silver Shadow! All I feel for him is pure hatred now. My goal is to destroy him and to make him suffer just like I did," I confessed to him.

After hearing my confession, he clapped his hands together and applauded me. "You have really changed, Celestia. This is good! I am impressed by you."
