Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 237: I will prove my love to you
Celestia’s POV:
He was ferocious before, but that was nothing when compared with his current appearance. As he came near the Incubus who was hiding behind me, the air around me got warm.
The Incubus fell beside me and cried out, "Dawn, I am sorry for everything that I did to you. Please forgive me and save my life! I don’t want to die—"
I just moved away from the creature in disgust. How much did I plead with him to let me go—but he never listened to me. Now that his life was on the line, he was begging with me. Perhaps he deserves to die like the rest of them; he tried to disrobe me after all.
"You tried to disrobe the Dawn?!" the Anti-Angel roared at him after he read my thought.
The Incubus got back to his feet and moved a step away from the Anti-Angel as the distance between them started to lessen.
"My brother told me to do it," he clasped his hands together and shouted out. "He gave me this quest! I never planned to do this—"
He is lying! I expected him to get burned by his red flames, but Silver Shadow was standing still, and he seemed to be lost in his thoughts.
"Your brother is Lilin’s lover, isn’t he?" he asked him skeptically.
"He was Lilin’s lover, but she dumped him recently. And he gave me this quest so that Lilin would get impressed by him again and take him back."
I didn’t get what the Incubus said. How can assaulting me make Lilin take back his brother? But Silver Shadow seemed to understand his words.
"Fine," he blurted. "So your brother and Lilin are at fault here. Still, you are not innocent. You hurt the Dawn most, so your death is going to be more brutal than the others—"
"Nooooooo...." he gasped. "Please don’t kill me! I don’t want to die like this...."
Silver Shadow moved near him as if he didn’t even hear his pleading. He grabbed the creature’s neck and its right arm that was injured by my arrow.
"Theo, don’t kill him," a female voice shouted. Then a raven-haired girl came to the scene. She touched his shoulder and said, "Please try to control yourself, Theo. Your inner Anti-Angel is making you do this—"
"Ivory, don’t interfere in this. You have no idea what he tried to do to my love."
"I know about it; just now, I read her mind," Ivory said and glared at me. "They all tried to assault her, but you saved her before that. She is fine now, and you have already killed four Incubus. Please don’t kill another one—"
Silver Shadow was marveled by her statement. He glanced at her side and asked her, "Why on Selene’s name are you taking the side of this filthy creature?"
"I am not taking his side! I am just saying that there is no use in slaying him now. Instead, you would be instigating a war by attacking the Prince of Ashland. Your actions might lead into a war between the Sirens and Incubus."
"You are right," he said and took his hand away from his neck. "I would be instigating a war if I kill him. Instead of instigating a war, I should burn down their lands and end them before they could even think of attacking us Sirens—"
"But Theo, that is not when I meant! Just let the creature go. Let us discuss this later," she said to him.
Anakin was hopefully looking at Ivory, who had just saved his damn life. And I was a little disappointed that he got away with his sins. That is what I thought until Silver Shadow squeezed his injured right arm and made him scream out.
"I am letting you live.... for now. It doesn’t mean that I have forgiven you. I don’t believe in second chances—and you certainly don’t deserve one—"
Now his whole right arm was consumed by the red flames. "You can’t expect to have the hand that harmed the Dawn, can you?" he said in a deep and horrific tone. Even I was scared of his tone!
Then he ripped his right arm from his body separately. I let out a scream and took a step back in horror. Now the Incubus had only one arm! Scarlet liquid started to pour out from the part from where his arm got detached. After that, my ears almost got deafened by the cries of the Incubus.
"Now get back to your realm before I change my mind and kill you! And..... tell everyone that the Anti-Angel is coming to burn down the entire Ashland—"
Even though the creature was in agony, it ran away from the spot quickly. At the same time, I was still reeling in the horror of everything that happened now.
"You didn’t really have to cut off his arm," Ivory commented after the creature left.
Silver Shadow ignored her entirely and turned to me. He saved me today! Still, I slightly shuddered when he came near me. His silvery wings disappeared, and his eyes turned back to green. Now he is back to his normal form!
"My love, I am sorry for not being there for you when you needed me the most," he apologized to me.
I was dazed to my bones and didn’t know what to reply. He is my mortal enemy, but he saved my dignity. Should I have to fight with him or thank him?!
He then patted my hair and brushed my golden locks with his fingers—and I let him do it. After that, he tied up the torn fabric of my neckline together and dusted off the mud from my robe.
Then he cupped my face with his hands and stared directly into my eyes. "I already let you down once and regretted my decision for a thousand years. I promise that it will never happen again! You are the only thing that matters to me. Just come back to me, Celestia. I will prove my love to you—"
