Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 268: What happened that day?!!
I stood still for minutes as I was in shock. Celestia is gone! That trickster has her now. My heart stiffened when I thought about the things that he could possibly do to her. And she doesn’t even have any powers to defend herself!
Ember snapped her fingers at me and brought me back to the present. "Can you stop daydreaming in front of me? If you have nothing else to say, then just leave—"
"Celestia is abducted," I almost shouted out.
She got serious. "Abducted by whom?"
"You know who it is—"
"Shut up," she screamed. "But just yesterday, I saw her in the castle."
"She was taken yesterday night! Silver Shadow must have sneaked into her room and got her!"
Ember looked around her as if she were checking out if anyone was overhearing us speaking—but we were all alone in this place. She always does this a lot!
Being a Mage girl, she never really trusts any of us. She always wanders around here with weapons, and Vivian had told me she even holds on to a dagger in her hand while she sleeps.
Once she was done checking, she looked at me and said, "Don’t tell anyone about this unless you are sure! It might cause unnecessary chaos—"
"But I am a hundred percent sure—"
"I know..... but do you know that our King is sick?" she said that in a whisper. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Yeah! Celestia had told me about it—"
Ember moved a little closer to me and spoke in a soft voice that seemed strange to hear. Usually, she is bold and spontaneous! "Just imagine what will happen to the King if he hears this news! He might get even sicker. And the worst part is that our Prince Edwin is abducted too. Now tell me who will lead the Kingdom if our King gets sicker?"
She had a point! When the King gets weak, it is an opportunity for the enemies. Then I comprehended the real reason why Silver Shadow took Celestia.
He must be aware of the health condition of the Fae King. So he got two birds with one stone! He managed to weaken the King, and also, he got Celestia. I started to get furious at that trickster! Why can’t he leave Celestia alone? Why can’t he leave this Kingdom alone?!
"What are we going to do now?" I sighed. "If our King gets more sick, then no one is there to lead us. "
"You idiot," she scolded and startled me. "Just don’t say this to the King or anyone else. If no one knows about this, then it’s better."
"But eventually, they will get to know each other! And King Oberon will reprimand us for hiding the truth from him—"
She gave me a nasty glare as she did to her warrior students. "No one will suspect a thing if we rescue Celestia on our own—"
I was marveled by stupidity. Just a few days ago, the warrior troops went on a quest to rescue Darius, and they brutally failed in that! Has she forgotten about that already?
"How can you even suggest something stupid like this? If we both go to Selene, then we will be defeated by that trickster in a second—"
"Stop judging me without hearing me out," she snapped. "I said that only the King and the Fae Lords don’t have to know about this. We can say this to our Warrior Faes alone. And we all should come up with a detailed plan. Without that, we can’t begin this quest—"
Now her words made a little sense to me. Still, I didn’t know if it was possible to make a plan to defeat that trickster. No one has done that before!

Amelia’s POV:
Ever since Celestia arrived here, the whole Sapphire castle has been in peace. No one is fighting or arguing here anymore! This is what I told the Queen before. Celestia is the answer for everything—only she can tame that stubborn man.
I accidentally made a mistake by passing through the hallway of Theo’s room. They both were louder as if they were the only ones in this entire castle. After that, I didn’t dare to get on that floor, and I even warned others not to go there.
At least they both found a way to figure out their stuff. My favorite couple is back together! I still can’t believe it, though. Celestia seemed to be pretty mad at Theo. How could she have acknowledged him easily?! Anyway, they are together now, and only that matters!
Since Theo was trapped in his room with his lady love for more than a day, I decided to use this opportunity to help Darius, who was rotting in the dungeon. I carried a clean robe and some fragrant perfume in a basket and walked down to his cell.
He jolted back to his feet when I moved near his cell. It was a challenge for me to stand here without covering my nose. He might be our rival, but he is also a living entity; he doesn’t deserve this treatment.
Theo is usually not this cruel to his rivals. But Darius is a special case in Theo’s list of rivals. And Ivory had told me that Darius had insulted Theo for not having a father. That is why he is getting this treatment.
One of the things which trigger Theo is when someone pokes him by talking about his father! I don’t know when he will move on from his childhood trauma—that is not letting him live in peace until now.
"Why are you here?" Darius said in a coarse tone. His voice had gotten sour by staying in this cold dungeon for days.
I took the clean clothes and perfume from my basket and dropped them inside his cell. "I bought these for you," I smiled and said.
But he didn’t receive what I gave him. "Why are you giving this to me? Did that trickster tell you to give this as an offering to me?"
"No," I cried. " I am doing this on my own. You deserve to be at least clean—"
He let out a sigh and leaned back over the iron rod of his cage. "I don’t need your sympathy! Take this and get out of here—"
"Hey, tough guy," I said and held the rod of his cage. "You can act as if you have pride, but I can sense that in your mind, you are secretly thanking me for giving you this. So how about you stop acting tough and accept my gift—"
He sighed again and picked up the clothes from the ground. "Thank you! Now can you please leave me alone—"
He was actually embarrassed inside that I had crossed him—but outside, he was still putting up an act. Apparently, his father had taught him to stay tough in all the situations, and this poor guy is still following that. Perhaps Theo was right about him. He doesn’t have a mind of his own. Oberon is operating him like a puppet.
I assume that Oberon is the worst father in all three realms. Through his wrong parenting style, he had ruined the spirits of all of his children!

After helping Darius, I left the spot as soon as I could. Theo might get mad once he knows about this, but I don’t think that he will do anything about it. He has Celestia now—and he is completely tamed. Now he won’t get mad at silly things like this.
Once I got out of the dungeon doorway, I collided with a white-robed man. I shuddered internally. The last thing that I need right now is to get caught by him.
"What are you doing here?" he asked me sternly.
"I was just.... I just.... helping the prisoner..."
I expected him to yell at me. But he just smiled and said, "I don’t understand why you turn into the goddess of generosity sometimes—"
Did he just give me a smile?! This is like having the old Theo back. I missed his jovial personality! "Can you please stay happy like this forever?"
"I think I can," he smiled again.
"I am happy for you guys," I said and punched his arm slightly. "You both made up! But how did she acknowledge you this soon?"
"Because she loves me—"
"Of course she does. But does she know the entire truth about you?" I asked him, to which he shook his head, just like I expected.
"Theo! It has been a thousand years already. It is time that she knows everything about you. Or else this could lead to misunderstanding between you two—"
"No....," his temper rose suddenly. "She doesn’t have to know about this. And I hope that you and Cynthia will keep your mouth shut and say nothing about that to her."
"But why are you still stubborn about this?" I cried.
"Because...," his voice got deep. "I promised on my mother’s grave that I would not tell the truth to anyone."
This is new! He made a promise on his mother’s grave?! What exactly happened that day?
