Chapter 729 -729 Relax a little_1

Purple Summers’s words brought Atra Blanc back to her senses.

She leaned on the door, struggling to open her eyes and size up her daughter, and saw that although Purple’s pajamas were disheveled, they were decently on. Everything that should be there was there, and Atra Blanc let out a sigh of relief.

If she let Purple be ruined by her own son at seventeen, she would have no face to see Meredith Richards in the afterlife!

Atra Blanc entered the room with a stern face and scrutinized it. Her gaze swept over the trash bin without spotting any suspicious wads of toilet paper, nor any condoms or similar packaging.

Despite that, she was still very angry.

“Alexander, you promised me…”

Before Atra Blanc could finish, Alexander Summers immediately interrupted her, “I’m not supposed to just enter my sister’s room, right? Mom, your partiality knows no bounds; this is clearly my room!”

Alexander complained, “I worked overtime till midnight, was tired and sleepy. I came back and went straight to bed, how was I to know there was someone else on it!”

Purple’s hand pinched the flesh on his waist under the cover.

Alexander immediately threw off the quilt, “Look, she’s hogging my bed and pinching me!”

Purple withdrew her hand in embarrassed annoyance and retorted, “I didn’t know you were coming back when I was sleeping. You could have gone to sleep in my room. Why did you have to squeeze in with me?”

“Purple, you’re the one who kept squeezing me.”

“It’s because your head’s too big, it takes up too much space!”

Like childish kids, the siblings quarreled on the bed, and Atra Blanc’s stern face couldn’t hold back a smile anymore.

“Alright, both of you, come down and have breakfast,” Atra Blanc said helplessly, then turned and left the room.

After Atra Blanc left, Purple glared at Alexander huffily, got out of bed, and put on her slippers.

Alexander laughed, “You turn against me after sleeping with me?”

Purple faced away from him with the back of her head and went out to wash up.

After having breakfast, Alexander told Atra Blanc that he wanted to take Purple out to play.

Atra Blanc seemed to have a realization; since she had agreed to them being together, it made no sense to be constantly on guard like against a wolf. They should have some space to get along occasionally.

“Purple’s been studying hard for her exams recently, she should go out and have some fun,” Atra Blanc said. “Remember to come back early, don’t stay out too late.”

Purple thought Alexander would take her to a villa in the mountains.

To her surprise, he took her to the Howard Group’s Walker Entertainment City instead.

“You’re taking me gambling?” Purple chuckled incredulously, “No way, I’m not even eighteen yet.”

“There’s a carnival arcade,” Alexander guided her towards another section. “It’s too cold outside these days, it would be too harsh. Let’s have fun here today.”

Passing by a server, Alexander took two drinks from a tray, one for himself, and handed one to Purple.

The loud music around them was boisterous, with the delightful sound of winning occasionally echoing in the ears. Even the most common slot machines were fully occupied.

The entire casino was packed, while the arcade was relatively quieter. Of course, quiet was only relative, and Purple still found it noisy and didn’t understand what was fun about it.

She wasn’t like Alexander, buried in study all day; she wasn’t familiar with the ways of eating, drinking, and playing. She was clueless about how to operate the various machines and games in the arcade.

So Alexander pointed her towards the claw machine.

“It’s hard to win these,” Purple said with little interest.

“Just give it a try,” Alexander urged her, handing her a stack of coins.

Purple didn’t expect much, but to her surprise, the claw firmly grabbed the plush toy she wanted, and it didn’t fall off!

“I got it!” she exclaimed excitedly and immediately tried a second time!

As it turned out, she was incredibly lucky today, succeeding five or six times out of ten! She nearly emptied the plush toys in the glass cabinet!

Purple was overjoyed.

Once her mood soared, she completely forgot the gloom that Nathaniel Summers had brought.

Alexander stood by her side, holding the plush toys, his eyes filled with a warm, tender smile.
