Chapter 890: Chapter 890: Clyde Summers Succeeded_1

Purple Summers didn’t dare to think too deeply; the feeling was too awful. She would rather believe that Atra Blanc pretended not to recognize her because there were strangers present.

But could her acting be too good?

Purple Summers walked away dejectedly, only able to wait until Atra Blanc was alone to test her again.

Unfortunately, the two middle-aged women chatted endlessly, and Purple Summers waited in the shadows for a long time, but Atra Blanc and the female tourist next door showed no signs of stopping!

After waiting a bit more, Alexander Summers returned.

As he passed by Atra Blanc, he glanced at her indifferently, his face betraying no emotion; mother and son were like strangers, neither recognizing the other.

This absurd situation was unfolding right before her, and Purple Summers’s mind was filled with mixed feelings.

How had things come to this? She was really getting frantic.

The room of Purple Summers and Alexander Summers was two rooms away from Atra Blanc’s. After they returned to their room and closed the door, Purple Summers sat down despondently, her mind filled with Atra Blanc’s bewildered face.

Alexander walked over to the liquor cabinet, took out some whiskey, and poured himself a drink. Seeing Purple’s distressed look, he asked, “What, did you find out something bad?”

When they boarded the yacht, they had divided the tasks: Alexander was responsible for Clyde Summers, and Purple was in charge of Atra Blanc.

But now, it seemed Purple was facing trouble.

“I didn’t even have a chance to ask…” Purple said irritably, rubbing her forehead. “She seemed not to recognize me. I’m not sure… maybe she was pretending?”

Purple, frustrated and anxious, walked over to Alexander and grabbed the glass of whiskey from his hand to take a sip.

“Slow down, don’t choke again,” Alexander said, softly patting her back, not too concerned about the matter with Atra Blanc.

Purple glared at him angrily, feeling even more convinced that the psychiatrist was right: Alexander was indeed carefree at this stage of his life!

“What about you? Did you find out anything?” Purple asked.

Alexander took a sip of his drink and said leisurely, “I chatted with the tour guide. He hasn’t changed his name, still goes by Clyde Summers, a forty-year-old freelancer. His reason for joining the seven-day tour is to celebrate his tenth wedding anniversary with his wife.”

“The nerve!” Purple burst out in anger. Atra Blanc had never married Clyde!

Alexander continued, “He originally booked the tour for two weeks ago but postponed it due to concerns about his wife’s health. You said she doesn’t recognize you, and that could be related to her visit to the hospital. The tour guide mentioned Clyde’s wife had suffered a head injury and had bandages wrapped around her head for two days.”

Purple stood up anxiously and paced around the room.

She thought of many possibilities in an instant.

Atra Blanc either had amnesia or was hypnotized. How would Clyde deceive her? Present a fake marriage certificate and tell Atra Blanc she’s his wife of ten years?

…Why did that sound so familiar?

Purple glanced at Alexander.

Alexander had wanted to do something like that too but failed, whereas Clyde had succeeded.

Two shameless men.

“What do you think we should do now?” Purple looked at him. “After all, she’s your mother.”

Alexander laughed and said, “Purple, the question is what you want to do. If it were up to me, of course, it’d be simple. Kill Clyde, throw him in the water, and that’s that. We could just take my mother away the next time we dock.”

Yes, Alexander’s methods were always straightforward and aggressive. Without his memory loss, Clyde wouldn’t have had a chance to act out.

But now it was Purple who was in charge of the situation, which was why she was in such a dilemma.

Purple gritted her teeth and said, “You promised me that after you stopped being the family head, you wouldn’t kill people on a whim!”

Alexander paused, clearly having forgotten about his previous promises.

“Then we’ll just knock him out and throw him in the water,” Alexander said.

Purple grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it at him. “What’s the difference!”
