From A Producer To A Global Superstar-Chapter 305: Shocking Gathering
Weeks passed and there was now a week and a few days to the release of the movie.
And Dayo had just completed the album creation and the cover. Everything was on point, and all that was just delaying was the release.
Dayo had made all the necessary arrangements, and the day for the execution was near, so he called Min-Jae.
"Yoo brother, it’s time," Dayo said dramatically.
Min-Jae on the other side acted confused. "Time for what?"
"Oh come on, don’t try that with me," Dayo said with a deep voice.
"Haha, unless what eh?"
Dayo smirked and said, "Erh nothing, but you keep forgetting that I am your boss and I have my way around your mone—"
"Ah fine, someone can’t play with you and the next thing you do is threaten me."
"Hehe, I got you. Anyways, joke apart, it’s time, so summon all of them today and let’s get this movement on the way."
"Alright, I would do that now."
After the call ended, Dayo called Jang-Wook and told him to inform all the actors to be at JD Label.
The private conference room at JD Label Korea was full.
Not full like an award meeting or a company event, but full in a serious way. The kind of full that meant something was about to happen and everybody in the room knew it.
And there were unfamiliar but familiar faces to the artists of JD Label as they saw actors and actresses in their midst.
Dayo sat at the front with Min-Jae beside him.
Around were all the Label artists.
Some of them looked confused.
Some looked tense.
Some looked excited but were trying to hide it.
Min-Jae looked around the room first, then spoke calmly.
"Before anyone asks, yes, you are all here together for a reason."
A few people exchanged looks.
One of the actresses leaned forward slightly. "Is it about the movie date?"
"It’s about the movie," Min-Jae said, "and it’s about the bigger problem around it."
Dayo didn’t waste time. He tapped the tablet on the table and connected it to the screen.
A folder opened on the big display.
Inside were multiple files.
A video clip.
A second video clip.
A few screenshots.
Audio logs.
And a document titled: "Timeline and Verification".
Dayo looked at them with all seriousness.
"I’m going to explain what we’re doing," he said. "You will not improvise. You will not add extra drama. You will not go off script."
The room went quieter as they could hear the seriousness in Dayo’s tone.
He tapped again, and the screen showed the plan.
LIVE STREAM: 24 HOURS
START: TOMORROW
GOAL: CONTROL THE STORY
FORMAT: TALK, SHOW, VERIFY, END
Dayo pointed at the first file.
"The video you all know," he said. "The one they used to push the story that I assaulted an actor."
He clicked play.
A short clip filled the screen. The room felt uncomfortable immediately. Some of them had seen it online. Some had seen it in private, but watching it again in the same room still felt ugly.
Dayo stopped it before it ended.
"That is the fake," he said.
He clicked the second file.
The original clip played.
Same location. Same people. Same angle. But the mood was different. The context was clear. The words were clear. The movement was normal. No violence. No intimidation. And a clearer picture and quality.
When the clip ended, one of the staff members released a small breath like she didn’t realize she had been holding it.
An artist beside her muttered, "So they really cut it and twisted it..."
"Yes," Dayo said. "And they pushed it like truth."
Min-Jae leaned forward slightly.
"Tomorrow, we take back the narrative," he said. "We do it cleanly. We do it once. And we do it in a way that nobody can bend again."
One of the PR staff raised her hand.
"Sir, the public doesn’t trust ’statements’ anymore," she said carefully. "They think every statement is a cover-up."
Dayo nodded.
"That’s why we will not argue," he said. "We will show."
He clicked another file.
A screen recording appeared on the projector. It showed an AI detection tool running analysis on the fake clip.
Result: HIGH PROBABILITY OF AI USAGE.
Another tool.
Another result.
Same conclusion.
Then Dayo switched to the original clip.
The tool ran again.
Result: NO AI USE DETECTED.
The room reacted immediately.
Quiet sounds.
Small murmurs.
Heads nodding.
One of the artists said under his breath, "This is crazy..."
Min-Jae looked at the table.
"This is what we will do tomorrow," he said. "We will play the fake clip. We will run the checker live. We will show the score live. Then we will show the original. Each and every one of you will run it again."
One of the handlers spoke up. "People will ask how we got the original."
Dayo answered without blinking.
"We own the footage," he said. "It’s our production. We don’t need permission to defend our own project."
The legal staff nodded slowly, agreeing.
The PR staff asked another question. "What about the leaker? People will ask who did it."
Dayo’s eyes stayed calm.
"We don’t need to mention names tomorrow," he said. "Not yet. The focus is the truth of the video. The name comes later."
Min-Jae looked at Dayo for a second and understood. He didn’t argue.
One of the actors raised his hand. "So what do we say on the live?"
Dayo clicked the "Timeline and Verification" file.
A simple outline appeared.
Greet viewers
Explain there’s been misinformation
Play fake clip (briefly)
Run AI check live
Show result
Play original clip
Run AI check live
Show result
Explain context (short)
Explain why the movie will still release
End with calm confidence
No insults
No fighting with comments
Dayo looked at them again.
"You don’t need big speeches," he said. "Just short sentences and clear words."
One of the featured artists nodded quickly. "Understood."
Min-Jae stood up.
"Now, listen," he said. "Tomorrow is not a normal live stream. If you laugh too much, people will think you are unserious. If you look too angry, people will think you are guilty. So we stay balanced."
He pointed at the PR staff.
"You will be in charge of the pinned messages," he said. "We already wrote them."
He pointed at the legal staff.
"You monitor what we can and can’t say live. If something risky comes up, you message me immediately."
Everyone nodded.
Dayo finally spoke again.
"And one more thing," he said. "No one goes rogue and tries to be a hero. You don’t argue with trolls. You don’t insult Virex. You don’t call anyone names. We are not begging. We are correcting."
A short silence.
Then one of the actresses asked softly, "Director... are you sure they won’t counter this?"
Dayo looked at her.
"They will try," he said. "But they won’t win if we don’t panic."
The meeting continued for another thirty minutes.
Everything was structured.
Everything was controlled.
Before they left, Min-Jae said one last thing.
"I don’t want any leak. This is company top secret, and if it gets leaked, there will be deep consequences. So keep mute and we act fast and decisively."
They all stood up and bowed.
One by one, they left.
When the room became quiet again, Dayo remained seated.
Min-Jae looked at him.
"You’re sure about this?" Min-Jae asked.
Dayo nodded. "Yes."
Min-Jae hesitated. "It will be loud."
Dayo replied, "It’s already loud. We’re just taking control."
Min-Jae sighed and leaned back. "Alright. Tomorrow then."
Dayo stood up and picked his tablet.
"Tomorrow," he repeated.
As he left the room, his phone vibrated once.
A message from one of his staff.
"Distribution teams confirmed. Cinema slots confirmed. Promotions scheduled."
Dayo read it, then replied with one word.
"Proceed."
He didn’t look worried.
He didn’t look excited.
He looked focused.
Because tomorrow wasn’t about fighting.
Tomorrow was about making sure everyone saw the truth with their own eyes.
